I asked for root touch up and the stylist proceeded to bleach every other part of my besides my roots. When I asked her to stop what she was doing and asked to speak to the manager, the manager refused to do the service I requested which I had an appointment for and told the stylist to not charge me and just get me out the door. So I left with a wet head and my hair dryer out and the roots left untouched which was all I wanted in the first place. Absolutely horrible degrading experience. read more

I made a 3:15 appointment and arrived at 3:10. The stylist appeared to be finishing with an (admittedly) obnoxious customer who kept requesting minute changes. This continued for over 35 minutes at which point I decided to leave. I have sympathy for the stylist but at a certain point I think she should've have paused to check in with me or asked her to wait for further changes. read more

I arrived at a few minutes after 6:30pm on a Friday coming from work to find that not only were they closed early, but there was clearly a person sitting in the back who didn't answer the phone. I have an event tomorrow and this was the only time I could make it. Been a loyal customer for a long time but now not sure anymore! And the person inside just walked out and left! read more

I made two appointments Saturday, one for myself and one for my daughter on the app. when I got there even though it was 140 by the time they got us in for our 1:00 appointments , we were told they could not do my highlights that I entered on the site because one person was leaving at 3 and the other one was going to be alone. if there are limitations, they should be clearly marked on the site. I waited 40 min to be told no. they literally can only do haircuts. very disappointing and no sorry, just you will have to come back tomorrow. read more

I havent been to supercuts in a very long time. i was there a couple of weeks ago and had Johannah do my hair. She was terrific and so so nice and did exactly what i wanted and my hair looked really nice. All of the stylist they have now are friendly and good stylist from before when they only had stylist who could just do the bare necessities. I will definitely be going back soon. read more

I've gone to this particular SuperCuts for the last year. The stylists are all pleasant and personable and I always have a good cut. They definitely know what they're doing. That said, the management of this particular establishment is pretty dismal. On a few occasions there haven't been enough workers to cope with the clientele load and there are frequent walk outs which cuts my wait time but you'd think they'd be able to maximize service by having at least 3 working at any given time. The computer check in system should be able to tell the timing and walk out rate and they could tailor schedules to the metrics. But I guess that's just me. read more

Due to a poor vacation over sight a simple knot in the back of my hair became a complete crown of a matted mess. I bought every detangling product on the planet worsening the situation. I allowed this problem to fester for three weeks! As my hair is about almost two feet long as I am growing it out to get married in two months. All of it stood like a cone on top of my head. I was doomed. My mother, a dog groomer, said I had no choice but to cut it out. I was terrified my groom and I would have the same hairstyle for the wedding. I called to make an appointment with complete embarrassment and was met with encouragement they would try to salvage as much hair as possible. Upon arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome from a women named Jess W. Who explained in detail every avenue she would take to help. Customers in the salon we're in shock at my hair. I was heartbroken by the customers face because I knew they would cut off my hair. Jess laid her hand on my shoulder and said let's get started we're going to be here awhile because we're not cutting anything. We spent the next 2.5 hours together. She reinforced there was nothing to be embarrassed about. Held conversations as if we were best friends all while hiding any symptom of fatigue in her hand or back. She did it to make me feel comfortable. That gesture alone awed me. Well truth be told she never took her scissors out! She made a miracle happen. After the last knot was brushed she did not say were done. She leaned over and said I'm going to give you the best shampoo you have ever had. In deed it was. She even offered to throw my hair in braids so it would not knot over night. I plan to make this my only destination for hair beauty. If you can request your consult. I had an appointment on a Sunday afternoon with Tina for a cut & color. I was taken back a few mins after I arrived. The staff greeted me warmly as I entered. Tina took the time to talk to me about what I wanted done and discussed my color with me. I walked out extremely satisfied and pleased with my cut and color. I will definitely be returning. Greeted nicely by all stylists when I arrived. Checked in and was taken quickly (only a few people were waiting). Ashley gave me a wash, cut, and blow dry and did an excellent job. I have long thick curly hair and I wear it straight. She spent all the time needed in blow drying it straight with an awesome curl/wave at the ends. This was my first time to Supercuts and I would return to Ashley again. The atmosphere was quiet but welcoming and friendly. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5-star has more to do with the actual aesthetics of the salon. The carpet is worn as are the seats in the waiting room. I have been to a couple other similar salons in the area (master cuts, great cuts, hair cuttery, etc) and they are all a lot "nicer" to be in while waiting. That being said - I would rather sit in a shabbier spot and get a great haircut than wait in a brand new shiny place and leave unhappy!!! read more

My son had a bit of a haircut emergency at 8:20 on a Tuesday night. I called 3 Hair Cuttery's and all of which answered the phone as if I bothered them and were closed or closing even though it said 9:00 online. I called SUPER CUTS. They answered the phone pleasantly and assured me they do not close until closing time. They take their "last customer" at 9:00. Joanne and Andrea is the absolute best ladies there! I am very particular about getting my eyebrows done and who and how they are done. I stopped getting them waxed for a while because someone butchered them. But one day I was in a big rush and I needed them done fast and since this is located right down the street I needed to bite the bullet. I went there and I was greeted by Joanne and she did my eyebrows. And lets say, I have not allowed anyone else to touch them since. She was just as particular as I wanted and she is just overall wonderful. She goes above and beyond and genuinely cares about you and your life and how you are doing. I have not had my hair done by Joanne yet but I certainly plane too. But Andrea is magical with the blow dryer. My mother only ever wants her to do her hair because every single time it comes out perfect. I definitely recommend these ladies because they can do it all! read more

CONSISTENTLY CUSTOMER FOCUSED WITH GREAT QUALITY. I have been coming here since 2006 (nearly 9 years). I am really happy with the prices and how they do my cut and color. They are pleasant, friendly, and customer focused. A tip: They are not very organized at filing the color cards. My last name is often misspelled and hard to find, takes a little extra time. A couple times, my card was never found during the last year. You would think this would be a problem for me, but it isn't. The staff is so good at what they do that they can talk to me, look at me, and then....I get a color I like BETTER than the last one. So if they lose your card, don't worry! read more

While it was done quickly (the whole procedure lasted about 20 minutes) at home I noticed hair was not cut properly on top- as if the hairdresser missed a spot. Had to go to another place two weeks later to "finish" the job. At another place a barber asked me "who cut your hair that badly? It is uneven and too much taken off from the top". During my first, and last, visit here, Andrea dyed my roots orangey-red when all she had to do was match a medium brown (I usually dye my own roots with color from Sally's and I told her the color level and developer level, which she blew off). I've also had a LOT of hair breaking and going down the shower drain since then. I went back the next day to ask for my money back and the manager of the salon, Vicki, started an argument with me over the phone. I just left. I should have known not to trust this salon from the door, bc the condition of the salon is horrible. The carpet and chairs in the lobby are really in bad shape, as are the walls of the whole place. When I returned to complain it was on a Saturday afternoon and there were no more than two customers in the salon at a time....a hair salon on a SATURDAY AFTERNOON. I gave one star bc the cut she gave me was ok...although it certainly doesn't make up for all my lost hair. read more

Do not come here if you like a specific stylist and want to see that person. Do not make an appointment because they don't take them any longer. If you want to see a specific person, you can check in with their new system and select that person, but according to a new employee/manager at this location named TINA, it is "company policy" that they take people who are there first, so your specifically requested person would take them before you get there. This is poor treatment of customers who plan ahead and like a specific stylist. Supercuts, or at least this one, only cares about drop-in customers not loyal customers who have used their same stylist for years. Tina also had the phone off the hook for 30 minutes so we couldn't reach them by phone. She didn't even respond or apologize when we explained to her that we kept calling but their phone was off the hook for over 30 minutes. They seem to have taken it off the hook intentionally.. they could NOT have been on the same phone call for over 30 minutes. We tried 10 times or more. They had our stylist signed in with the wrong name: "Andrea B." so we did not know that our stylist was there at the time. Our stylist was sent home due to it "wasn't busy" before we got there, so their errors with signing in the wrong stylists available AND with being unprofessional and blocking customers from being able to call them... I highly recommend NOT using this shoddy location (at least since Tina came along or because they supposedly have company policies about no appointments). If we had just come right away and not kept trying to call them, we would have arrived BEFORE they sent our awesome stylist Linh home due to slow business or whatever they call it. They didn't have Linh signed in they instead had "Andrea B." who was possibly off but they picked her name by mistake which totally destroyed our whole wasted day in coming all the way to Jenkintown (we live somewhat far away but have been traveling to see Linh specifically). This place went completely downhill over the last couple of months and I recommend Great Clips or Master Cuts or some fast haircut salon that still takes appointments. So I give a 5 star rating to Linh, but a ZERO star (Yelp doesn't go lower than one star) to this 636 Old York Road location of Supercuts. Be forewarned everyone! Thanks! read more
