Wow, couldn't have been more rude. I am a former salon owner and have tremendous respect for a stylists time and talent but today was really unacceptable. I arrived 2 minutes before the appointment time, checked in, and sat for 20 min watching other customers with later appointment times be served. When I asked them why, one of the 3 hairdressers said I had to wait because I was late. The other 2 hairdressers confirmed that I was indeed on time, but the one who said I wasn't and insisted that I was late, wasn't even there when I arrived, she was in the back washing a customers hair so there is no way she would have known that I had arrived. Worse yet, she was incredibly rude. My husband is a regular there, every 3 weeks and a very generous tipper. I get my hair done there every 6 weeks. I brought my mom as a new client and needless to say, you have lost 3 customers. Do better read more

I had my hair cut at Super Cuts, Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii on 9-27-2024. I was told on the phone to be there between 12 pm, and 12:30 pm. Got there at 12:15 and the first thing out of the mouth of the woman at the desk was, YOU ARE LATE! I was there for a wash and cut. I can't remember her name because she briefly said it. Went here one time before for some layers and it was great. Came back again today and asked for more movement and for my bangs to be more side swept, face framing, and flowy. I feel bad cause the girl was nice but she basically made blunt bangs. It's not blended at all and it really is terrible. It's so bad I cried in the car after. The layers in the back are ok but the front is still long and uneven. I'm sorry but I will not be back. I REALLY needed to save money and now I have to go to a salon to get it fixed, spend money I don't have, when I should have had a professional do it in the first place. Literally wasted $30. Worst haircut of my life. I came in aaking for a medium fade, and I left with a hack job I could have easily done myself with a butter knife. Hairdresser was nice, but really put no effort into her cut and barely used anything but the trimmer, and was done in less than 10 minutes. To top that: $25 for a bum cut. Get home knowing i had a substandard cut, but when i examine my hair in the mirror, I see all the damage; see photos. Go back the next day to try and get a refund, and the dresser says she can fix it. I go against my better judgement and trust her, and while she's working she tells be its because of my hair; unbelievable. This time around, she takes only 5 minutes and it looks worse. Hair can't be fixed till it grows back, so I had to tolerate this screw up and I'm out $25. Never coming back. read more

I just had what I consider a very unfortunate experience with Corrie at Supercuts, Kailua. As a part time Kailua resident I have had Corrie color my roots for many years and was quite pleased with her work. I have had my highlights only done in NY but since I liked her work I decided to have Corrie do highlights here. During my visit for my roots and highlights I commented on the difference of techniques used here from NY. However I was happy with the results and getting many compliments on my hair. In fact so pleased that although I would normally wait to have my highlights done in NY I called Corrie and requested a few lowlights because of all my exposure to the sun before returning to NY. Imagine my shock when I called to make an appointment and was told by Corrie she no longer wanted my business. Apparently I made her uncomfortable by the discussion of the different highlight techniques used. There was no rudeness or argument during any of that talk. I had no idea anything was wrong and yet she told me to find someone else. Where is the Aloha?? Obviously I was pleased with her work or I would not have sought another appointment. I am somewhat confused as to the number of stars since the color was good but I feel I had been very badly treated. read more

To the stylist who just gave me a haircut, PLEASE ASK YOUR CLIENT WHAT THEY WANT AS YOU CUT IT. I started off the haircut asking for an undercut and 1 inch off the top. To start, you contested that and said you think it looks better long, telling me not to cut it. At that point, you began projecting what you think would look best on me and didnt ask me anything else really. Things such as side burn length, if I wanted my back tapered or not, and if I wanted my hair feathered (which I didnt and I personally HATE IT when stylists feather my hair). You kept blazing forward with the hair cut, and at that point I didnt feel I could bring up these things because you had already decided to do them without asking. Piss poor service that ended with you PAYING ME CHANGE IN DIMES. I only left you a tip because covid times are hard but please DO BETTER. read more

There's no point in making an appointment here because they will not honor it. I made an appointment for 9:00am. I got there at 9:02 and there were already 2 people getting their haircut and 2 people waiting and then there's me. So u mean to tell me there's 5 people with 9:00 appointments? And only 2 girls working? I was sitting there waiting till 9:50am and I got up and said i needed to leave. I had to take my kids to soccer. It was then the hairstylist told me she took the walk ins before me even though I had an appointment. But bc they got there couple minutes before me I guess that's why they got seen before me. So if a walk in comes in before you they will be seen before u regardless if u have an appointment or not. Wish I would have known this so I could have planned my day better. I had made a reservation at Kailua supercuts to get my hair trimmed and colored with lowlites. The girl who helped me trimmed my hair so quickly that I felt it was very unprofessional and there was hardly any difference. Then she asked if I wanted to get my roots done in addition to the lowlites, which I agreed. She put so much dye on my roots, that she had to have a coworker make more hair dye to do the lowlites. She let the dye get on my skin and stain my face. All the while she was texting on her phone and was very distracted the whole time. Again very unprofessional and In the following weeks almost all of my hair has fallen out. I spent $178 to have half of my hair fallout and leave with a brown stain on my face. Im devastated and never again will I ever go to Supercuts location..especially the Kailua location. read more

So, I have been to this place twice...and both times I have regretted it. I think they can actually only do one type of haircut for men. I asked them to not cut the top. They said "Sure! No problem...I'll just clean it up." Wrong they cut a 1/2 inch and then had to try to even it out. That was my last cut. 6 mos later, take my 4 yr old son in thinking this will be a no brainer and a different stylist. #3 on the sides don't touch the top. She asks me again "You want to keep the length?" I answer "YES!" Then proceeds to cut an inch off his bangs. I gave them two stars because the cut itself is fine, except it wasn't the cut I asked for my son. My son doesn't care, but it's pretty annoying when they charge you $21 for a child cut and then do the wrong cut. Done with Supercuts. read more

I took my 12 year old daughter for a wash and blow dry. The sign in the shop says blow dry is $30-$40. When finished, she charged me $65. When I asked why, she said my daughter's hair was a little long (shoulder length) and very thick so she had to charge more. Maybe it was harder to blow dry because it felt sticky after the "wash". My advice: get the charge before they do the work. Apparently they can charge whatever they want afterwards. I'll never go there again. read more

I just had a haircut by Raia at Kailua Supercuts. I must say that in all the years I have had my hair cut at Supercuts, I have NEVER experienced such HORRIBLE service. While she was polite, the manner in which she ran the clippers over my head and cut my hair, literally paying no attention to what she was doing was unprofessional. She did, after quite a while, observe my wincing while she was cutting and offered no apology. Instead, she stopped clipping, oiled the clippers and began again.
