I made a 3:55 appointment online. I arrived on time. I was told there was a walk-in ahead of me and it would be just a minute until another stylist was available. I waited 15 minutes and left. Their prices are double what they were 3 years ago and their service sucks. Don't bother to make an appointment because they will put walk ins ahead of you anyway. read more

Hair stylist aren't the friendliest, always push customers away saying "we have people waiting, can't give you a time estimate." Doesn't matter if several people are waiting, they will go to the back and disappear for several minutes after they're done with a haircut. Let me start by saying this is our first time trying a salon as my son's barber is simply too far. We decided to try a new place closer to home. What a regret this is. I gave Maritza inspiration pictures and said how I wanted a trim up top and cut the sides and back of his hair. She was very friendly, but his hair does not look blended at all, she cut the front and top way too short. It is absolutely horrible! Will never come back here again. I would have asked to correct the issue, but I fear she will make it worse. I will simply take the hour trip to his normal barber to correct the issue. If I could rate 0 I would have. read more

I came here just recently for a quick trim. I was helped by Monica. She was friendly, efficient and gave me exactly what I asked for. She made sure to only trim what I needed and didn't get scissor happy with my hair. The place itself is very clean. It had a ton of products very nicely displayed. This location must be fairly popular because there were walk-ins before me and after me, which to me obviously shows that the stylists here know what they're doing. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming here again for my next trim. read more

So I went to this location and the woman working there tells me that my year and a half old son needs to wear a mask. I was puzzled as the California government actually states that children under 2 should not wear a mask as it poses as a suffocation risk. So they wouldn't help me unless I went against CA government guidelines and placed my son in a position where he would be in danger of being suffocated. I then went to a Supercuts down the street in San Dimas and they had no issues with my son. I walk in for my 4:15pm appt. and I get a "She's just finishing up and will be with you in a few minutes"! Ok, I can wait a bit but its obvious the stylist just began with this client and its going to be a little longer. After waiting half an hour another client comes in and she tells him she will be with him in a few minutes.. I ask him what time his appt was for and he tells me 4:30. So I ask "what's going on?" I understand getting behind and short waits but I don't appreciate being lied to. If the company's standard policy is to say " she's just finishing up and will be with you in a few minutes" to not loose a sale or client I think that's BS! I don't appreciate business tactics like that- I don't appreciate lies. People's time is valuable- appointments should be honored. If you are NOT a regular be prepared to wait. As other reviewers have suggested, I made an appointment for my haircut. I arrived and was told they were finishing up the other customers, and there was only one person ahead of me. I was prepared to wait, so I started reading a book. A few "regulars" walked in after me and they were told correctly that there were two ahead of them. It was suggested they go run a few errands and they would be ready for them when they returned. The regulars left, but then returned before I had been called. On the list I was next, but apparently the stylists are not required to check the list. Two stylists finished up and they both took the regulars. I asked who was next, and they said they would be with me as soon as they finished up. I understand wanting to take care of your regulars. These people are working for tips, and probably knew the regulars to be big tippers. Unfortunately I waited an hour to be called and never got a haircut. Tried to get a haircut here today.. first/last time here. I was told there would be a 30 minute wait. No problem.. I waited about 30 minutes and went back in. That's when the stylist let me know that 2 new people were ahead of me and it would be 30 more minutes.. I would've gone somewhere else if had known it would be an hour wait. I was there first. Good customer service would have been to take the customer that had already been waiting 30 minutes. The shop seemed real amateur. They don't even have computer checkin yet or internet checkin.. I went and left absolutely unsatisfied.. beyond that, I got more then half of the bottom of my hair cut off and that's not what I wanted AT ALL that's the exact opposite then after the fact that she cut off the bottom of my hair she tried to charge me for $25 when every time before I go in it my cut is free Bc they don't cut my hair they just cut the bottom baby hairs only!!! walking out the store I had a handful of my hair coming out . Be prepared to WAIT, even with appointments. I've been here several times for my kids' haircuts. The cuts themselves are fine. Not great, not bad, just fine. However, as a walk-in, I've more than once waited an hour (or more) to get haircuts. Which is pretty ridiculous anyway. And often - they've taken appointments before walk-ins. Which makes sense, and as a walk-in, I try to be patient. However, I finally got smart (or so I thought) and made an appointment for my kids' haircuts. Should be easy, right? So we get there, ready to go. And they say they are running behind and, "Are there any errands you can run, first?". So I ask how long the wait is (I get if they need to finish up their current customers.) But no, not just finishing up - the wait is 4 people (walk-ins) in front of us. So over an hour wait, at least. Um, but I had an appointment. Well, you'll just have to wait. Keep in mind, I've been to this place where they HAVE accepted appointments BEFORE walk-ins. Apparently, either they have no firm policy regarding walk-ins versus appointments. Or, perhaps because children's cuts are cheaper, generally, we're not a priority. And keep in mind - no phone call to say that they're running late or anything, can we come in a little later, etc. Nada. So - that was my final experience at this Supercuts. I understand waiting as a walk-in. I DO NOT understand a company that sometimes lets walk-ins take priority, sometimes appointments - and expecting an appointment to wait over an hour and that's OK to them. So - for any local people - I immediately went to the Fantastic Sam's (where I've personally had haircuts in the past and never waited more than 15 minutes). One child was able to get a haircut immediately, one was taken 5 minutes later, and we were done and home by the time they maybe would have gotten to us as Supercuts. I'm sure with the cherry-picking they seem to do at Supercuts with the customers with walk-ins versus appointments...I would have waited much, much longer at Supercuts than it took me to be in and done at Fantastic Sam's. read more

It's rare anymore to see the same stylist from visit to visit, but they all seem to do a good to great job. Tell them how you want it, pay the bill, leave a tip. Fairly fast and simple process. They can get busy, but not always. You can call ahead for a spot, too. I've never been particularly unhappy about my cut, and am usually very happy with my cut. So, try them out. So my daughter wanted pink and purple color on the ends of her hair, went to la Verne Supercuts on Monday! Told the color would stay for over a month, well 6 days later and it's faded bad! You are going to wait a really loooong time if you come here after 11am. Called in at 245. They told me 30 minute wait. I put my name in, which usually puts you in line. Got there at 315. There were 2 people in the chairs and 2 people waiting in front. While I was there 4 more people walked in. They finished the 2 people in the chairs. Then took the two people that were in the store before me and then took two more people that came after me. I left at 425. Love the store, love the location, always get great hair cuts here. I'm going to try someplace different tomorrow. I still need a haircut. I'm out almost and hour and a half. Update. Went back today. Called in advance. When I got there no wait. Great hair cut, clean store, nice staff. Yesterday they were probably just short staffed. I don't want to be that complainy type that is always bitching about stuff. Went in this morning to have a couple inches taken off. This ended up being the worst haircut I've ever gotten. The hairdresser completely missed some strands of hair and didn't blend the layers. My hair looks like when a five year old cuts their doll's hair. It's blunt but in a bad and choppy way. Not even what I said I wanted. I even had pictures!! I'm not going back to his salon.
