Honest Review of My Experience With Diana Salcido (Color Appointment + Communication + Deposit Policy) I'm really disappointed with my experience with Diana, and I feel it's important to share so others know what to expect. I originally came to her for color and highlights. The first appointment was over $500, and while the dimension looked nice when I left, the color faded extremely quickly within just a few washes. I reached out politely to let her know, and she offered to gloss it , which I understood as simply refreshing the tone. Instead, my entire head was turned into a single dark chocolate color. All of my highlights were completely covered, my hair became several shades darker than what I originally paid for, and the dimension I loved was gone. None of this was discussed with me during the service. She didn't even fully dry my hair before I left, so I couldn't see the true result until I got home. My hair was already dry from the first appointment, and this additional processing made things worse. When I reached out to express confusion and concern, she did not take responsibility or apologize. Her responses were dismissive, and at one point she simply replied "Ok," which made it clear she didn't care about the impact the service had on my hair or how I felt as a client. It was deeply unprofessional and left me feeling unheard. Throughout all of this, I remained kind, calm, and respectful. I work in the beauty industry myself, and I believe strongly in treating clients the way I would want to be treated , with care, honesty, and accountability. When a mistake is made, it's our job to take responsibility and make it right, unless a client is being truly abusive. That wasn't the case here at all, which is why her coldness and lack of remorse were so confusing and disappointing. Weeks later, my hair is still not the same color or look I originally paid for. I had a future appointment booked, which I canceled with plenty of notice, and politely asked for my deposit back. Only then did she inform me that deposits are nonrefundable , something that was never communicated at booking. She insisted the policy had been stated, but it absolutely was not. Keeping a client's money when they cancel days in advance, especially after a service that went wrong, is not ethically or professionally acceptable. Overall, my experience with Diana showed: Lack of communication during the service No accountability when the result was not what I asked for Dismissive responses when I expressed concern No empathy or care for the health of my hair Uncommunicated policy used to keep a deposit after poor service A cold, unprofessional attitude toward a client who was nothing but kind I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was stressful, expensive, and handled with very little professionalism or integrity. I would not return and cannot recommend her based on how she treated me throughout this entire situation. read more

I really didn't want to write this, but after giving this salon multiple chances, I feel like people deserve to know what they're walking into. I paid over $300 expecting professional service but instead, I was left with harsh bleach lines and uneven color more than once. When I reached out to get it corrected, I wasn't met with concern or care, but with eye roll energy. They made me feel like I was a burden for simply wanting what I paid for. I gave them multiple chances to make it right, hoping the last time was just a mistake but the attitude stayed the same, and so did the quality. After the second time, I finally went somewhere else to have it fixed. I hate leaving bad reviews, but no one should have to feel dismissed, disrespected, or overcharged for poor work. I called at 4:53 PM November 7 one of the ladies that picked up has a habit of hanging up every time I call to ask for the manager she has very disrespectful manners doesn't know how to respond to clients and hangs up on you if she's not liking what she's hearing, I simply was asking. When was a manager in Once I asked for her name she hung up on me. This is a second to maybe third time this happens I have been unsuccessful speaking to the Manager Horrible customer service. I was genuinely calling for something in specific that had happened, but it doesn't seem like anybody else has a care for helping customers when they call. I wish I could've gotten her name, but hopefully they know who she is but the time and date at the right provided. Definitely don't recommend the salon. read more

I've never left a salon feeling worse than when I walked in until now. My hair was not only butchered, but I'm positive the hairstylist over lapped my blonde which led my hair feeling dried and fried. She completely ignored what I asked for. I showed clear photos and explained myself multiple times. Instead, I left with uneven layers, a botched color job, and zero apology. The tools weren't sanitized between clients, and the she spent more time gossiping than focusing on the actual service. Save your time, your money, and your hair. I have been following Lisamarie Martinez ever since her days in Covina -- so it's been awhile -- and me and my tresses are SO GLAD to be reunited!! So, this review is not about her, nor her assistant --both Lisamarie and her assistant are attentive, quick, caring, and give GREAT scalp massages...strong fingertips that get in the "just right" spaces of your scalp and neck! It is sheer calgon-take-me-away bliss when I get to sit at the bowl! This review is about the lack of service at the reception area of the salon. On my most recent visit, I waited a good 10 minutes before I was even asked if I had been helped. There was no one at the reception area. I made eye contact with someone blow drying a clients hair probably three times as I waited at the counter -- still no help or even a nod to acknowledge, "I see you." Finally, I walked to the back of the salon where folks were getting their hair washed -- and interrupted someone's hair wash in order to be tended to. I am not an easy client. I have dark curly hair that is greying and have a lot of hair. And of course I want blonde straight hair. I went in for a consultation with Diana @stylist_diana and she was completely honest with me about it not happening in one appointment but showed me what I could expect . I took a chance and scheduled the appointment. It was a long process because I have a lot of hair but I always make sure I can stay 5-6 hours for my appointments so I was not worried . If I could give Claudia 10 stars I would. I moved some years ago from Virginia where I had an excellent stylist and color pro to Long Beach ca. I found a good guy there. Then my husband and I moved to Pomona Ca from Long Beach last year so I tried a local salon Bloom and the first time was fabulous. The next and the next after they moved out of the salon down the road was horrible. I was using the owner at that time so I am not sure stress money possibly cheaper products as they relocated out of this current salons space. Anyhow Claudia had much to fix. Spent 7 hours had incredible attention to detail to get it right. I am thankful another salon took over the old rental space with great stylists. As i was there 7 hours or so I will say I noticed all the clients who followed them to this new location hair even going blonde ect had absolutely stunning quality of hair. They clearly care about not breaking you hair off. I mean most were longer than mine and much thicker like mine was before the old person ruined it. Claudia has me on track to have it back to proper health. She definitely can work miracles with color correction. It only took so long because this was correction otherwise I can tell she absolutely can get things done. As a groomer I can tell who's good Many things in our industry are common. You could really tell Karen is educated in her trade I had a balayage and was requesting to go dark she thoroughly explained toning, semi permanent and permanent hair dye ultimately decided just to tone it to persevere the blonde since I want to go light within the six months. Update 7/13/2021 My wife has been reached out to by the refinery owner, officer manager and the stylist. The way in which this matter is being handled now is the way it should've been handled in the beginning. With that being said, It sucks it went this route. But Jenna was exceptionally sweet and professional to my wife. Jules handled our concerns with precision and timely efficiency. The stylist Shannon has picked up communication in a manner that is exceptional like it was when we first arrived at the refinery. Knowing the circumstances now of miscommunication in all directions we have come to a happy medium. Shannon was always a sweetheart to my wife from the beginning and has really shown that again. We do understand things happen and we have no hard feelings but we wanted to be heard. We still have faith in the Refinery and the staff that is there along with Shannon. I just wanted to provide an update at how professional they were when a serious problem arises versus just letting it sit there. From Sunday through today the contact has been exceptional and my wife is thrilled and excited to give this place our business still as Shannon does make her feel welcomed and enjoys the quality of work! Don't visit this salon if you want to be safe from Covid! This is a beautiful salon and I received a great haircut, but this business is in Los Angeles Co and they are in violation of the indoor mask mandate. Over 20 stylists and customers were unmasked and not socially distancing. I was told my risk was very low for Covid by the receptionist--who I'm sure is no epidemiologist. Karisa is seriously awesome at wedding hair & makeup! I'm not sure why she got such a bad review so I'll take the time to write my long overdo review from my wedding in February.. Karisa and Alexis drove to Lytle Creek in POURING rain into a flooding campground to come do mine and my bridal party's hair and makeup. In the middle of getting my makeup done I found out my photographer had driven into a lake and had to be rescued .. here I am bawling my eyes out and Karisa was so attentive to me helping me get it together and making sure I was going to be beautiful and my day was going to be ok. My maid of honor and sister also had to go out in the rain and ruined their hair and makeup and They fixed it for them. I loved everything about my hair and makeup and my bridesmaids. My hair and makeup held up during the stormy day and during the time we were outside in fog getting photos.. Since it was such horrible weather we barely got any photos of our special day.. Karisa reached out the next day letting me know she was thinking of my the whole night hoping my day turned out and told me she would redo my hair and makeup for FREE so my husband and I could have another bridal shoot.
