Maria is an excellent hair designer! If you're wanting a good haircut, you should ask for her…read morebecause she's highly skilled. I started by showing her a picture of what I was wanting to achieve. It was a prior haircut I'd had, and I noted to her I realize it won't be exact because each hair designer does things a little differently. Well, Maria cut my hair EXACTLY as the picture looked! This is the mark of a very skilled hair designer. The shampoo part was heavenly. The owner is currently in the throes of remodeling, but if she keeps anything, she definitely should keep those shampoo bowls! You feel the comfort as soon as you sit down I believe from their bowls being the perfect height. Many other salons have low-positioned bowls, which are uncomfortable for the patron as well as the hair designer because the designer ends up having to bend down and hurt her back. The comforting shampoo bowls allow you to enjoy the fantastic complimentary head and neck massage. I thoroughly enjoyed LaBella Salon and my experience there today. Maria and I had a nice discussion on hair trends for 2023 as well as color trends. It looks like I will be back sometime soon for a balayage. I just can't decide now how much I want to lift my hair. Looks like the blonde is calling me, but also would like to try a deep chestnut. Hmmm...I guess we'll see.

Having just moved to the area (exactly 10 days ago) I've been on the hunt for a new "home" salon…read moreand stylist. First try and I've found my go-to! The salon itself is modern/clean/large. Very nice + great products. Olivia was awesome. Not only is she kind, but she knows how to handle curly hair and cuts it with precision/style. I went in for full highlights as well, and they are fabulous!! Totally blended and thin - exactly what you want. Love love love it. Also - a style is included with the cut! (Some places charge extra for this piece) Price - completely reasonable. I can't wait to go back in a couple months - she and the salon are just what I was looking for. Check them out!

The salon was clean, welcoming and didn't have the usual smell of dye. I was seated in a chair immediately and Mandi got to work. The salon is in the converted movie theatre building off NorthPoint Blvd, so it has high ceilings and cement walls, but they've decorated it beautifully. The place was packed when I visited on a Friday, but I didn't feel like I was in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Every stylist has plenty of room to work and talk with their client. So glad I found a salon (and more importantly a stylist) I can call mine!! Make a visit, you will not be disappointed.

I was happy with my cut when I left, but we all know you look fabulous the minute you get out of the chair, so the real test is how it looks when you get home and try to recreate the style. That's where this haircut shines. I communicated up front that I'm not someone who wants to spend a lot of time on my hair, and she delivered a shoulder length cut that looks great air dried. I'll 10/10 definitely be back in Shelby Ann's chair.

Here is a direct, honest draft for your Yelp review. It is written to be respectful but firm,…read morehighlighting the exact issues with their inconsistent pricing and short hair markups so other locals know what to expect. Review Title: Warning to long-term clients: Watch out for inconsistent pricing and hidden fees. I have been a loyal client at Kaleidoscope Salon for 4 years, but I am officially done. Over the years, my bill for a standard highlight and root touch-up on short, fine hair has slowly crept up from under $200 to a staggering $315--and I don't even get my hair cut here! The biggest issue is the total lack of consistency and the financial gaslighting at checkout. One month I am told a treatment is included in the base highlight fee, and the next month I am charged an extra $45 for it separately. Every single time I check out, the front desk or stylist has a completely different story or confusing explanation to justify why the price jumped. Charging over $300 for color-only on short hair is an absolute rip-off. They use a fraction of the product and time compared to someone with long hair, yet they charge massive premium flat rates. They count on your loyalty to keep you from questioning the receipt, but the shifting stories have ruined my trust. If you have short hair or expect honest, transparent pricing, look elsewhere.
