Naturally, probably 85% of the haircuts I have received in my life have been compliments of Rosa as well. She has been in her current location for a number of years now- her husband used to work alongside her as a barber, but it is pretty much just all her these days. Most of her customer base is a loyal group that have been coming to her for days - as she is kind of in the basement of a psuedo-office building; it's not like she relies on foot traffic. I don't think her services go beyond hair - she'll cut it, color it or style it. She was responsible for the one and only perm I subjected myself to. One thing that could be looked at as a positive or a negative is that she will yell at you if you want to do something that is going to look downright horrible on you. She says friends don't let friends do those things. She's pretty much right. If I am looking for something fresh and trendy or just want a drastic change, I will admit- I don't usually come here. But for my tried and true basic hair cut and color, I can always rely on Rosa. She does a decent job and has never butchered my hair (except for that perm that I demanded back in the day). After this many years - it is definitely the most comfortable place for me to go. I am always probably there 20 minutes longer than I need to be just talking. On top of this - Rosa's prices are ridiculous. I pay for a cut and color AFTER tip what I would pay for just a trim at a regular salon BEFORE tip. So even if I don't walk out looking like I just walked off the pages of a fasion magazine, at least I still have money in my wallet!

We had a terrible experience at the salon with my 3 year old. My three year old ended up donating over 11 inches. We were told she could donated 7-8 inches if she didn't want to have her hair cut super short, but 10 is ideal. The stylist said 10 inches would bring it 1/2 inch above her shoulders. I said that is fine, but no shorter that's the shortest I want to go. She literally HACKED her hair off. It is now to her chin, completely uneven and it looks like my 5 year old cut it! I am heartbroken that this exciting experience turned out so sad. We drove from Plymouth to donate. I would NEVER recommend this salon! Pictures don't lie. One of the worst sales experience and haircuts I've ever had…read more First off the menu of services is off to the side. Seems $25 is the minimum i come to find out for just a haircut. While getting my hair cut she asks if i want my hair shampood. Then later asked if i wanted hot towel on my neck. Mind you I'm saying no since i do not need them and just wanted a haircut. She was finishing my haircut and i had to remind her i asked for a hard part. She said oh yeah. The part look like crap, i could have done a better job in my own home smh. When it comes to pay the bill she's charging me the $25 for haircut and services i did t not receive. I then asked her if all she was offering me was i clouded in this $25, she replied yes. I told her next time if ALL IS INCLUDED don't ask the client if they want one. Take them to wash the hair and place the towel on them. If it's ALL included and the end of the day why the hell as you asking the person in the chair if they would like this service done and sounding as if your damn upselling them. This place was horrible. Will never go there or refer it to any of my coworkers or friends. My haircut was crap as well. You would figure this is their career they should know what to do as oppose to asking me every step of the way what to do. Bad experience over all.
