I want to sincerely thank the entire Superfades Family Barber team for the compassion, care, and kindness you showed me during an incredibly stressful and chaotic situation. At approximately 10:00 a.m., while I was in the shop getting a haircut, an individual driving under the influence crashed into two parked vehicles--one of which was mine. What could have been an overwhelming experience was made significantly more manageable because of the way your team and the people in the shop showed up with genuine care and concern. Throughout the incident, you checked on me periodically, made sure I was okay, and even brought me my jacket when you noticed I was visibly cold while waiting outside for the Lacey Police Department to complete their investigation. Those small but thoughtful actions meant more to me than you may realize. I was also deeply touched when another patron, who was simply there for a haircut, paid for mine. That act of generosity, combined with the compassion shown by the Superfades staff, was a powerful reminder of the strength of community in difficult moments. Asked for a low fade, only the left side was done properly, the right side isn't even a fade, and is way to high to even really fix into a medium or high fade. The back of my head is un-even in length and not straight. I didn't ask for them to touch the top of my hair as I'm growing it out, yet it was cut in half. Yeah it was cheap but not worth even $5. Would never recommend to anyone read more

Not a bad place, the ladies are quick and mean business. Came here for an undercut trim for my daughter but I don't think the lady gave herself enough length to do the undercut design my daughter wanted, because there wasn't any hair left. Other than that, not a bad place to get your cut. In and out, these ladies work fast! read more

After bringing my son and nephew here for haircuts for the past 6 months I need to update my review with these two issues: 1.) They get very busy from 5-6:30 - like standing room only. I WISH THEY WOULD GET NUMBERS for people waiting as it seems everyone plays the guessing game trying to figure out which of the 10 people waiting gets to go next. It would be a very simple fix to a very awkward situation for the clients waiting. We can't remember who came in when there are 10 people waiting. 2.) Make sure you tell them you want some "style" and not just a buzz cut. They are very good with buzz cuts but if you want some style to your hair you HAVE to tell them. 3.) They work very fast, and are very nice. Still a great place to go but with a few tweaks ti would be the best. read more

The shop is clean, respectable, family/friendly, all of the barbers here are very courteous, professional to the tee, & provide reasonably fast service w/o distraction. It does, on occasion, require a wait time to get into a chair, as the shop gets many customers, which speaks volumns for its reputation here in the community. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! the ladies will not listen to what you and just cut as they want. The fades are too high or uneven or choppy. They love to put hard lines in when you specifically tell them not too. They also always say oops too late when you tell them they did something wrong. Never consistent. Kay is terrible at this. She doesn't give a rat about what you tell her. She will just do as she pleases. It turns out terrible and you tell her she says whatever. They raised their prices to 12 bucks which is totally a scam for what cut you get from them. This is a review for Kay at Superfades. I'm sure some of the other barbers are also competent, but after one bad experience I won't tempt fate. Kay is a production artist. Fast, thorough, courteous. No tedious conversations with any of these ladies, tell them what you want and walk out 5 minutes later high and tight. read more

I brought my son here and they don't understand that he wears his hair straight back and nit in a comb over. I had to take him back and three ladies including Kay their main stylist cuts it a second time. They repeat the same mistakes and the top of hair is two different lengths. The haircut of course looked horrible,NOT the haircut I came for. There were two children and both got the really messed up lopsided fades. I came for a skintight fohawk and instead got a lopsided fade. Damn, all that growing out their hair for nothing. So I can have the next guy NOT listen to me say "Leave it LONG in the back as it is a fohawk all the way to the back" and they say, "OK! I can do!" And NOT get what you asked for. I understand this is Superfades, but Im sure that as a family barber, not Army barber, you can give more than just a fade. And either way, the fade given was lopsided and horrible so why even call it super fades!! And this was from two separate barbers!!! And as for the "family", is not so family friendly. There were people there acting very rude, cutting in line of children and cursing at the parents for not letting them cut in, and one of the employees was laughing at the situation and the employees did nothing about it. read more

I am upping my stars to 4 since I did go back and was given a better hair cut. Their price is the best around, BUT this place is SUPER busy pretty much all the time because of that. I'm now going to a smaller barber shop that gets me in much faster and does a good job at just a few dollars more. For me, it's not worth the wait times. read more

This place is very busy for a reason. They know how to do fades. I'm a weekly customer. Very friendly staff. Worth the drive from Yelm. I highly recommend not going between 3 and 6pm during the week and 11am-2pm during the weekend. They are so busy there is always a line out the door. read more
