I was impressed by how clean the store is, and their fresh vegetables are reasonably priced. Also, they seem to have weekly specials which you'll see posted on yellow signs. I'm the kind of person that when you open up my pantry, you will see a rainbow of beans in clear containers. I use all kinds of beans a lot in my cooking so you can imagine my delight in seeing that they had an entire aisle dedicated to beans, lentils, and all kinds of other grains, and very affordable! You will find mostly middle eastern items here. There was an entire section dedicated to tahini, and olives! So many different kinds of olives, it was very impressive. They also have prepared foods, and an area where you can order hot food/sandwiches. I plan to come back and update my review once I try out their hot food. As I said, the store is small, but was well stocked with grocery items from not only the Phillipines, but from all over. Usually when I grab my coconut vinegar from an Asian market, I have a choice of one brand and either spicy or regular. M&M Phillipine Mart had several brands and I opted for a brand that just looking at their spicy coconut vinegar, I knew that I was in for a real treat. When I got home, I had to try a bit of it and it was so much better than the other brand. So, for the coconut vinegar alone, I will come here just to get that. The girl behind the counter was friendly and outgoing. I am guessing that she is the daughter of the owner because she said she sent someone to talk to her mother in the back. The summer rolls have shrunk in size last I recall but you get 3 pcs with peanut sauce (shrimp filled) for $3.50 - the non shrimp ones are $3. The snacks dept are priced reasonably. some chips/candies are under $2. The japan items are a little pricier. Staff here are friendly except for the cashier she has a little attitude when it comes to reprinting receipts. I bought 2 summer rolls - 4 chips 2 bags gummy candy and 1 box tea for a total of $24.
