Stumbled into this place looking for a market and was very pleasantly surprised. The name does it no justice. It is so much more than a Meat Emporium! They have a wide variety and some of the freshest produce I've seen in life. The staff offers bilingual service and is happy to help you find whatever you may need. If you are having a bad day at least have the decency of looking at your client in the eye; it's a key aspect of non-verbal communication that shows you are actively listening. While I love the variety of meats, I was extremely disappointed by the treatment I received by the butcher, for the prices you're charging and the lack of customer service I've rather go to Publix and spare myself the attitude. On another note, employees should have a tag with their names imprinted on them. Good customer service and a simple smile goes a long way! read more

Tube una mala experiencia en ese negocio. Compré varias picañas envasadas al vacío argentina para una reunión y una piesa estaba descompuesta. La guarde en el congelador para posteriormente hacer el reclamo la reunión fue un día lunes. Y no pude ir asta el día viernes. El encargado del establecimiento no quiso hacer le cambio de la piesa porque había pasado más de 24 horas. Y alegando que él no tenía conocimiento de porque pudo haberse dañado. This place isn't what it used to be. The quality of the food is decreased incredibly. The small intestines and the black sausages are a death sentence to your stomach. I was sold sweet black sausages when it isn't what I asked at all. Long sorry short, if this caused me severe stomach issues then I don't want to imagine the rest. I was in the area and realized I forgot the meat for our camping trip. It was a choice of starve, or search yelp for a meat store. Meat Emporium came up with five starts, while only a few reviews I surely wasn't going to go hungry. I am pretty sure this is not a chain, for that reason I liked it from the get go. From the outside it looks a little small. On the inside it is small! They make good use out of the little space they have. In the front of the store is a cafeteria like counter, they have all kinds of hot food dishes, they looked pretty appetizing and there was a line about six people deep to order. The store itself is heavily influenced but the Spanish, Latin culture, they have a lot of speciality items. In the back of the store is the meat, pretty small meat counter but they have a decent selection of all kind of meats. I went with skit steak, can't go wrong with that. If it tastes as good as it looks, I will have no remorse. read more

We love the cuts of meat from here, the Skirt steak just needs a bit of salt , it's so flavorful. They carry a variety of butchered meats, canned good, dry goods, oils, sauces and spices. I've heard repeatedly of this place from friends and co-workers. Fresh, good meat, for good prices...and I was not let down. At first I thought I had the wrong place as the store looks tiny in this plaza of bigger buildings and gyms, but once I got inside I still thought it was tiny haha. However the employees were all friendly and helpful. I made it to the butchers in the back and that's when the stars aligned. Fresh cuts and prices were less than other butcher shops, international markets, and grocery stores in Orlando. The butcher at the back was super polite and helpful. At first I didn't see a few of the meats but as I asked he produced them in quantity! Very satisfied with my visit and will return. The rest of the store sells a few Hispanic food items and seasonings. The cooked food counter had a long line, and smelled terrific. The plaza its in seemed fairly busy and the large end stores really dwarfed the smaller stores in the middle of the plaza. Parking was not too hard to find a close spot as folks are constantly coming and going. read more

I gave it 4 stars because if you're inside the store and need to make a phone call to ask your spouse about a product or receive a call or text in case you have to buy something additional, there's NO CONNECTION OR NO SERVICE IN YOUR PHONE. Today I went to buy a small soup for my wife and after waiting almost ten minutes I finally got the soup. The disappointment occurred at the time of paying. They have 2 cash registers but only one was being used. People go to this place also to buy groceries, so you can imagine the time you have to wait before it's your turn especially if only one register is opened. I waited no less than 20 minutes and I was number seven in line . Behind me there were at least 10 more customers waiting to pay. I complained as to the poor and inadequate service that the store was exercising at a time when there were so many on line and only one register opened. I continued to express my disgust for the way they were handling the situation and the only response was "God bless you sir and thank you". The Pharisees during the days of Christ also worshipped their God but made sure they got rid of the one that was making life difficult for them. This is the same impression that this employee( probably the owner) displayed when I complained. As far as I'm concerned this is not a customer friendly and oriented business. I do not recommend any of my friends or relatives to visit this place, ever. read more

Missing cuts, lamb is frozen, chicken is Walmart style. Not your typical butcher shop. Staff is very helpful until you get to the owners/managers. I called in to get a price on sirloin by the pound (for my restaurant), the owner actually said, you have to drive here to find out. We don't give prices over the phone. What a joke! The worst store you can ever go to. We bought a pack of cookies that was out of date and we didn't realize it until we opened it at home. We went back days later and the guy in charge didn't even make an effort to understand the situation, he just refused to change it or give us a credit like if we were thieves even though were buying more stuff. Don't expect us to go back ever again and if you go don't forget to check the expiration date of whatever you're buying. read more

Not going to lie, I was impressed. Why? I'll tell you why. My wife and I raw feed our pets. Yes. Raw meat. Cats and dogs thrive on it. Anyway, enough with the science lesson. Organ meat is required for this kind of thing. We've had a hell of a hard time tracking organ meat down in the Orlando area. Local "butchers" either wouldn't sell it or only sold it in 20+ lb packages. We were resorting to having it shipped from a supplier out of state, which got expensive very quickly. We decided to check this place out, and lo and behold...Genuine bonafide organ meat. Veal brain, beef kidney, pancreas...There's a nice assortment for any raw fed pets. They also have a great selection of regular meats as well. So don't be turned off by my little tiger's peculiar tastes if veal brain and bull bullocks aren't your bag. This a nice place, especially if you're looking for traditional Latin American things. read more

The cashiers are great - very amicable and do their best to assist you, but the manager on duty was a jerk on 07/15/12. Caution if you are not hispanic or Colombian, this manager will question you if you have to make an exchange or return an item due to expiration (purchased on the same day). They lost my business for good. I gave it 3 stars since I have shopped here for years and you can find produce cheaper than your local supermarkets and rare products from throughout Latin America. However, returning an item or getting a credit on your debit card or cash back, here is where they are less than fair! They lack the business etiquette and don't have the customer is always right kind of attitude. They should honor frequent customers without being so untrusting. They also kept my original receipt when I went to returned the expired item. The lost my family's business for good. It's embarrassing to be questioned about a product they failed to discard and at the same time treat you like a dishonest consumer - shame on this manager! read more
