Bought a bag of Mott's brand gala apples in a bag for $3.99 on a "managers sale". Got to the register and it said $4.99 I paid cause I just wanna go back home coulda swore it said $3.99...I almost let it go, but decided to take a second look at the sign and sure enough it did say $3.99 and matched the item I bought. I told the cashier and showed her a picture of the sign and she said, "no it's for MOTTs gala apples..." then she was opening the bag to show me i bought something else but she stopped mid sentence when she realized I was right. She takes it to another cashier on another lane who gets a the manager? I can't hear them from far away but the other cashier comes and opens the register to give me my dollar and tells me to "have a good one". No apology. Not that I have high expectations but it's starting to feel like this happens on purpose. I hate this store and I only come here because it is a 1min walk from where I live but I won't be back. This happens too many times and one time I didn't notice until I got home and it was a $0.50 difference so I let it go. But I wonder if I did regular shopping there how many items would come up different than what's displayed. It's misleading and dishonest. I think I wrote a review in the past but in case I didn't, the produce is farrrr from "superfresh" with once in a while my lucky find of something in decent condition. the cashiers do the bare minimum and seem to always be watching the TVs or using their phones . I brought 3 packs of chicken got home put them in my fridge. I wake up around 6pm to cook dinner. Remove the chicken wings from the fridge open the pack and the smell was bad. Not my first time buying bad chicken wings from this supermarket but it's my first time calling them to inform them of the bad chicken wings. The manager Sabestion is gonna tell me that he needs proof that the chicken wings are spoil. That's because I can't bring the wings back today because I don't have a car. I will be returning not only the bad wings tied in a bag but the other two packs as well. People beware of this market. When your at the counter look at the prices of all your food while being scanned. This market is a rip off. Once I get my money back tomorrow I will NEVER shop here again. This place leaves expired products on the shelf! ALWAYS check the dates on everything if you have to shop here. I would never buy any store packaged meat or seafood here. Even the deli is suspect. THIS STORE RAISED THE PRICES ON EVERYTHING during the Covid19 pandemic. Shame on them!! So try not to shop here. Last Wednesday I went grocery shopping. Made a purchase. All solid. Nothing out of the ordinary. Thursday, while I am at work, I receive a notification that my card was used without me being present at the same grocery store. For a very odd, but low amount. I contacted the grocery store's HQ and they said they can't do anything and to call the bank to dispute it... Not even concerned of potential internal theft or possible back end errors. So I disputed with AmEx. Even put a block on the merchant and ordered a new card number. I was just emailed that I wouldn't be getting a refund and they showed me the receipt which shows that I was not present! It states it was a mail order. Mail order for a grocery chain. Not even itemized! Just a random amount. I contacted the HQ again, they are spinning stories. First they ask me how I got their phone number... apparently they do not want customers to have their number. Then they ask if it was on this specific date and between 11AM-12PM... I said yes. They said they had been receiving a lot of calls regarding these "phantom" charges but there is nothing they can do about it because they are not showing up on their end... So I told them I had already disputed and was provided a receipt for this transaction, so clearly you have access to the info and can issue a refund. He claims that is not true. Then he insinuates that I am a victim of fraud and that my disputes to AmEx are probably to someone that isn't actually AmEx... I couldn't even at that point. Like which is it? Is it some issue that you are aware about, or are you really going to try to claim that I am victim of some scammer who is providing me with a copy of the receipt and what not? I told him that I was giving the company the benefit of the doubt and that maybe a rogue employee did something but clearly there is something much more corrupt going on at the company. I told him I would leave a negative review, and follow up with my bank to fight this. Will likely be filing a police report as well on my day off. read more

I'm disgusted & embarrassed by the way this location treats WIC recipients. I visited the Roselle store (#2120) on Sunday, March 7th 2021. 1st things 1st, the produce is NOT fresh. I wanted mangoes but the selection was very sparse & old to the point of molding/browning (see photo). Very disappointing. After filling my cart, I arrive at the cash register (#5) & am told that my brand of eggs was not WIC approved (fine) & that only 1 brand IS approved. WHAT? Fyi, WIC did confirm that the store should have a list of approved brands & that it is unacceptable to limit customers to 1 brand. Also, I was told that they would not honor my cereal coupon because it didn't stipulate whether it was for hot or cold cereal. No further explanation was provided. WIC confirmed that this too was inappropriate. I feel belittled & discriminated against because apparently my WIC isn't as good as cash/credit here. What a wonderful way to kick of Women's History Month. Good job, Superfresh. read more

Stopped in to grab a quick bite at their bakery. I saw salmon steak which looked good so I asked if it came with a side I'm used to getting hot food at Harris teeter with sides. The guy working there really looked up and told me "this is not McDonalds ma'am" I was so disappointed and told him I know exactly where am at. The Superfresh in Roselle has a variety of items that I have been looking for. The produce section has a complete array of fruit and vegetables that dazzle the eyes and are also of excellent quality. The bakery department features many good cakes and pasteries and several kinds of fresh rolls. I enjoy shopping here and there are items to suit every taste. I like exploring the aisles in Superfresh, and I am happy it's near my neighborhood! read more

Ok , the store is a remodeled older store. It's not all shiny and new but they have some really good deals there. Their produce sales cant be beat. The milk is always 2.99 a gallon. Fresh bread rolls and deserts from Primos bakery. And the prepared hot food is Really good. I have had the stuffed shells, Salmon, Baked Ziti, Lasagna and Short Ribs. They were excellent. The people there are really nice too. The only negative for me is The store is Always Cold. When the parking lot seems warmer than the store is in February there is a problem. read more

The prices are very high for items. The lay out of the store is quite odd. And the hot food/ prepared food was a disappointment. I purchased the seafood salad, only to discover it was drowned in mayo, and the shrimp still had the peels on them. This is my new go to grocery shopping store. I like that they have more variety of international foods especially Hispanic. And certain prices/deals are good. However other items seem to be overpriced and I end up making two trips; one to this store and the other to shoprite. The warm food section I have only tried the soups, the first time I had the clam chowder was okay, and today I got one again and... the chicken was pink! I took a few sips of the broth then I took a bite and all I felt was a gum-like texture chewy thing I spit it out and there it was "A PINK NOT COOKED CHICKEN PIECE". I separated other pieces of chicken from this soup and they were also NOT COOKED! So just beware of the warm food section/choices. Everything else, service and products are pretty good. read more

I won't return here again . Was excited that there is finally a supermarket in our neighborhood, so gave it a try twice . The first time wasn't the best . We asked for a 1 pound of fish and the guy kept giving us 2.5 pounds and didn't understand that we only asked for a pound. The floors in this place are dirty and the store has a strange lay out . The worse experience each time was with their cashiers . Both occasions each cashier was rude ! I came in at 10:25 to get milk and she said ," why do people come in here so late?" The food is good and the place is clean. I usually just go to the deli for a sandwich and they are super slow. Even though There's 3 or 4 people behind the counter only one is making the sandwiches. It's not one person I've been taken care off by a few and they are all super slow like I've never seen anything like this before and any of the other places I go for sandwiches. To me it seems like they just don't want to work. I go there because it's convenient when I need something from the grocery store and I can kill two birds with one shot. read more

I mainly give 3 stars because of convenience. This location is literally around the corner from my house, a 2 minute walk. Staff is not rude nor super friendly & just seem to not be properly trained. The store is clean and they are constantly stocking shelves. It's a smaller than usual supermarket but it does the trick when we need something last minute and don't want to drive. Other than that, it is extremely overpriced. Why they call a "sale" is other supermarkets' regular price. Whenever shopping here I tend to look for alternative brands because it's slightly cheaper. They have a bakery/deli/hot foods section. The hot foods/salads is decent but not worth the price which is also hiked up. They have a "sandwich bar" that we wanted to try. We were thinking of getting a couple of subs. We stood there for a good minute before the employee looked up at us and asked how he could help. We told him we wanted subs and he said the station doesn't work. Soooooo.. yeah. Great for convenience of last minute or emergency items.. Not good for doing your whole grocery shopping. read more

The locale of this location is suitable for me, in regards of not wanting to travel to Whole Foods or ShopRite... but the quality of food here is unbelievable. I'm constantly returning "fresh produce", because it's not fresh. Some of the cashiers are not even knowledgeable of the weekly circular.
