Love me some Aldi's!! Always affordable and have tons in stock! The only problem at this location the checkout situation. The lines can get pretty long and I wish they had an express option or it's more organized, you see a ton of lines forming and if it's your first time at this location you'll get confused and no one is really guiding traffic...Other than that I really enjoy shopping here! Cheap prices variety of products and decent quality food items and did I mention the prices. Stopped here to grab some fruit for my drive back from New York. After a night of partying I had to head back and fruits and veggies kept me company. Bought watermelon, grapes, blackberries, cucumbers, tomatoes. The watermelon was horrible but everything else good sweet ripe to perfection. Oh let me add I stopped by my sisters house to see her which is where I cleaned and prepared the fruits and veggies. I shop at the ALDIs near my house often. Staff was pleasant just long lines really long lines. read more

Just came back from the Roselle Aldi where there were 2 cashiers to check out 30 customers, waiting 30 minutes to check out is just unacceptable . ..ESPECIALLY since their prices have risen tremendously. 12 pk of TP has risen more than 33% as an example, $15 for a 4 lb bag of wings ! I never wanted to write a review about any services good or bad because personally I believe you guys are a bunch of cry babys that come on to yelp because you'r butt hurt. That being said I had to write this because I am way to happy about this service that aldis has that went above and beyond my expectations. The fact that they have delivery service amazed me when I first heard it that I had to try it. They have everything on there site set up by Department and a easy search engine. After you are done you place your order and pick your delivery time. Mine was from 10am-11am. You are updated via text message and email about your tracking order. Anyway thats common stuff so bluhh bluhh bluhh. What really blew me was that fact that they actually came 20mins early and brought my groceries straight to my door on the third floor. I thought I would have to meet them outside. They had rung my bell but I didn't answer because I wasnt expecting them yet. You can not get in my building unless you are buzzed in. So that mean this man took his time and rung other bells just to deliver my groceries and waited at more door knocking until I answered. I live in a project building mostly any service delivery (pizza,chinese,UPS anything)makes us walk out the complex because they will not walk into thr court. So the fact that they came up was everything to me. Thank you Aldis I really appreciate the service that you provide! read more

It's going to sound really odd, but walking into Aldi Supermarket is sort of like stepping into a parallel universe, or an alternate timeline where many of the food brands you know never existed, but instead were replaced by other brands you had never heard of. This is mostly because Aldi stocks most brands that aren't your typical "name brands", all in the name of savings that are then passed on to the customer. This is their company philosophy and it works nicely, keeping their prices very low while still delivering products that are familiar but not quite what you might expect. See, places like Whole Foods or Trader Joe's carry their own brand names of items, but they don't really try to make their brands *look* like other brands. However, someone at Aldi's marketing department is really working hard to use visual cues to remind you of certain products that are embedded in our collective subconscious. An example: they have a honey wheat based cereal similar to "Honey Smacks", except instead of a yellow and green frog as the mascot on the box, theirs is a yellow and green *turtle*. On their own brand of Ziplock style bags, the packaging uses a very similar shade of bright pink on the boxes as the real Ziplock. Their mayonnaise is in a jar with a yellow and blue label, but it's not Helmann's, it just *looks* like it. I don't mean to imply the items sold here are low quality. I haven't tried enough of them to make a judgement on the entire store. I have tried a couple items including a "Fiery hot cheese" snack that is super tasty and reminds me of the Wise brand with a similar flavor. Aldi offers amazingly low prices. A box of "Cheerios" style cereal for less than $2, a can of tuna for less than $1 and hot sauce for $.99 a bottle. I was amazed and impressed by how bold the packaging was in skirting the trademark lines of some of the items they are based on. Interesting notes: the store has you bag your own stuff and it's generally preferred that you bring your own bags. Also, the store takes Debit cards, but *not* credit cards. I'm sure this too is part of their "keeping cost down" mantra. I enjoyed my visit to Aldi and I did pick up some other items that I'm hoping to try before updating this review. read more

Im from the area and this Aldi's has always been the most unprofessional place ever. For Aldi to be Trader Joe's sister company.. it holds none of the same values. There is nothing fresh, friendly, or convinent about this store. I can't even get them to let me take out cash without it being attitude and issues. I'll go to linden going forward. read more

So the Aldi in Roselle always has stocked products, great prices , courteous cashiers and a clean restroom. I would give it 5 stars if there wasn't always the same homeless guy outside of it asking for money. They have a security guard in there,so what is the problem. This I think deters customers.also,sometimes the lines could be shorter if they always have two cashiers. But I must say when it slows down, the cashiers then go to stock. Otherwise,I'm glad this is in town and we should support locally. read more

Great prices like all the stores in the Aldi chain. But this store is really dirty and the cashier flung a gallon of milk on top of my hamburger rolls and crushed them while ringing up my order. She said "sorry" after I pointed out what she did but didn't sound like meant it. Will try the Union store. Should be less ghetto. read more

you can disregard the previous 3 reviews because this was BEFORE this location renovated & the entire chain itself starting accepting credit cards. they put a ton of $$ into it--total makeover/expansion spotless, no tight areas, 95% of produce looked very fresh, everything still easy to find & keep in mind they originated in Germany so many of the meats/chesses/chocolates/baked items are of high quality bring your own bags or buy theirs for 10 cents/ea & they are heavy duty & about the size of a regular paper shopping bag(I save my shoprite paper/plastic bags) & don't forget to bring a quarter for use of a cart solid 4 stars read more

This is probably the WORST supermarket I've ever been to, there are employees that have horrible work ethic, the employees are very rude and they don't even bag anything, you need to buy bags if you want to carry your food and they sit and throw the items back into your cart. Ridiculous. Too many things wrong with this supermarket I don't recommend.... read more
