If you're looking for a different, "funky" dining experience Superfrico might just be the place for you. My experience was more like a 3.5 star experience. To start, our server Anthony was great. He was attentive, helpful, and speedy. The menu is not huge, offering a smaller selection of apps, pastas, pizzas, and entrees. We went in thinking we would get the table side mozzarella; however, the price really deterred us ($85 for cheese just isn't worth it). We got meatballs, a pizza, chicken parm, and rigatoni all'amatriciana. Of all the food we tried, the deep dish jalapeño pizza was the only thing I'd ever think of trying again. Everything else was underwhelming and portions were not great in comparison to the price you are paying. Entertainment was interesting and quite random, but if you're looking for that in combination with eclectic decor you may just enjoy this spot anyway! I likely would not return. read more

Amazing birthday dinner. We went before AND after seeing The Hook. The appetizers we amazing, the gravy on the meatballs and fried mozzarella pure nectar of the gods. The garlic bread so good I could have eaten two. We all had chicken parm which was amazing. Due to generous portions we had enough leftover for lunch the next day!! Yummy!! We will be back. The service was good, but the food was a huge disappointment. We went for brunch and the French toast was so bland. No flavor to it, so I felt the price was too high. Steak and eggs was fine, but unremarkable. The best thing was the thick cut bacon. The place was dead, only like 3 or 4 other tables were seated so there was a low energy vibe. This was an absolutely specular experience, from the greeting to the departure to the show (The HOOK- also a must do!). An absolute 10 out of 10! The food is incredible, delicious, and unique. Great decor and style, good waitstaff, but the food is a disaster. At first glance, it looked beautiful, but the food just tasted...OLD. Like, beef tartar that smelled like should-have-been-cooked-up-yesterday old. It was inedible. Linguine with clam sauce that was obviously microwaved, salad that was somehow too vinegary yet lacked flavor. It was just so bad. And then, we learned it wasn't just us: another diner loudly told the room to avoid the chicken parmesan at all costs. We paid our check and left a nice tip for the waitress, since she had her hands full with the next table. If you do decide to tempt fate and dine here, consider yourself warned. read more

Superfrico is an Italian restaurant set in a speakeasy with numerous rooms that have a very eclectic funky vibe. The decor goes from the outrageous to the sublime. The staff from the host/hostesses to the servers (shout out to Janessa) to Chef Nick all seem to totally enjoy working here and interacting with the guests. Delicious food, fun and funky. A different experience for Atlantic City that is fun and delicious! Definitely for the more adventurous, more traditional diners may not enjoy the happening that is Superfrico! I ate at Superfrico, Atlantic City on Saturday, January 13th. The food was good, though pricey. The entertainment was ok. The part that bothered me was the manager that abused a patron because he sent back a meal. I was at the adjacent table and was disgusted at what I heard. The man sent back his plate. She came over and proceeded to lambast him. When he disagreed with her, she told him she was calling security, I have never witnessed anything like this at a restaurant. I felt bad for him. Once this happened, the entire table literally left within a few minutes. You could tell they were not happy and very confused about what had happened. Honestly, I was appalled since I never witnessed anything like that before. Be careful and don't send back food if you want to dine here, lol! I will probably never return since the food was mediocre and I don't want to be the next victim. read more

I wanted to like this place. Service was good. Great vibe. Garlic monkey bread was excellent but the chicken Parm was disgusting. Had a weird sour taste to it that made it extremely hard to eat. Others I was with liked their other dishes but just can't get away from that taste to the chicken Parm. 100% will come back to see the hook but I'd look elsewhere for dinner. read more

Good Evening but Needs Improvement We heard such great things from staff at the casino that we were looking forward to our dinner at SuperFrico. We were told the portions were big enough to share. We were the first people seated for 5pm which I was happy about as the show, The Hook was at 7 pm. We were seated in the room they call the Storage Room. It was extremely dark. I had to use my phone to read the menu and show our order to the waiter. The other rooms seemed much brighter. We ordered a bottle of wine. It took the waiter 20 minutes to tell us it was not an available so we selected a different wine. In the meantime we shared a chopped antipasto salad which was huge and very good. A second bottle of wine was also not available. Our waiter brought out two bottles of red wine for us to try - which were unacceptable as we were ordering white wine. We asked for the manager. In the meantime our chicken parm $38 arrived with a small bowl of spaghetti $18. While they say the pasta is cooked Al Dente I believe the spaghetti was just under cooked. We felt for the price of the tiny pasta portion of simple spaghetti should have been included with the entree. The chicken parm had too much of a particular seasoning as it left an after taste. Since were were sharing we should have been given two regular plates. However we had two tiny dessert size plates. No spoon for the tiny portion of spaghetti. The manager Valerie arrived giving us a taste of two additional wines which we did not like. She was great and finally found one we liked. Unfortunately we were just about done eating. She went way out of her way and wanted to be sure we enjoyed the evening. For dessert I had tiramisu and my husband had a Mexican chocolate mousse which had chili flakes in it. I thought I was in Vegas! I saw the show and then had dinner right after. Everything was so delicious. Got the meatball pizza as an appetizer. It's a thick crust, but the dough was very light and crisp. Topped with sauce, cheese and 4 meatballs. The meatballs were outstanding (and I am incredibly picky!). The crab spaghetti was my favorite dish. Lump crab meat in a traditional red tomato sauce, topped with half a blue crab. It's a little messy to eat the crab on top, but worth it! The pasta is homemade and there is a good portion of lump crab meat in the sauce. Also had the bolgnese, linguine with clams, and chicken parm. The chicken parm was better than the Superfrico in Vegas. We got the Lemon Thing for dessert and it was so good. Very moist, light, and not overpowering with Lemon. I want to go back for just that. The entertainers are a lot of fun and they probably make more sense if you see the show first before getting dinner. Waitstaff were all wonderful! Overall it's a great upscale experience for AC. We felt like we were sitting in the foyer--no ambience at all. Music was very loud. Pork milanese had no flavor at all, and the pasta bolognese was unbelievably small for $34...was more like a side order of pasta. I get that it that it is so supposed to be "different" experience. but it was not enjoyable. Did not appreciate the plastic dishes and drinkware either.
