I'd give this place 3 stars if it wasn't for my abysmal Chicken Parm Sandwich. The Chicken Parm Sandwich was a joke. Just down the street from our B & B is a pizza parlor that they advertise they are Atlantic Cities oldest pizza parlor. Nothing fancy but the place was packed on a Thursday night. An older staff that treated you like a misbehaved grandchild, it was a blast. We tried the house special pizza and two different sea food platters. Along with an antipasto platter all of which were outstanding old school Italian dishes. The inside is very old but kept very clean. Pricing I felt was fare for the quantity and quality of the dishes. Next time we're in Atlantic City this well divinely be one of our stops. read more

Pro tip: sit down and order a meal and order your pizza at the same time. When you are done eating, your pizza will be ready. Friend from Ireland visiting and he likes him some good old school American style dining that you can't find in rural Ireland. He was about to lose his shirt in the casinos, so thought we could walk over here and get some cheap eats before his wallet emptied out. My only recommendation is to also sell pizza by the slice because the whole pies are filling, especially just for one person. This will always be one of my favorite spots in AC, and have been coming here for over 15 years. read more

We got a house salad for two. To me, it tasted like an Italian sub without the bread. I got the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs aren't very flavorful and I liken the dish's taste and presentation to a high school band spaghetti dinner fundraiser. This is a great spot if you wanna come and watch the Eagles game. The bar is all Eagles fan. And if you're not into watching the game, it's fine too. They have a dining room area. Happy hour everyday from 4 to 6! peep the menu because its a good one (both food + drink specials, im talkin $1 mozz sticks, $2 fried shrimp). main entrance takes you to the wrap around bar with a few booths, but head to the back for the HUGE dining room. jukeboxes at every booth . its dark, its divey, but its clean. on a saturday afternoon we found the music switched frequently from mob movie classic hits to 80s/90s freestyle. its loud, but you can still have good convos. they take cards. food comes out quick, drinks can take a minute because the bar gets PACKED. get the cheese pie. its thin. minimal flop. sauce is seasoned well. eat it while its hot, letting it sit for awhile isnt good. mozz sticks were nothing special. i LOVED the fried shrimp. they are slightly sweet, gentley fried, butterflied and come with a delicious sauce. its a gross between a marinara and horseradish - never had something like this and cant believe i slept too long on it. my friend enjoyed the sauce her meatballs came in, but felt they were kinda dry. coming back within a heart beat. its such a classic spot, right to the point menu, good drinks, and an affordable place compared to other spots in AC, doesnt batter if youre winning or loosing. read more

It's a chill nice spot to eat in but this is for nostalgic folks who don't know better and get fooled by the memories. Last time here was over a decade ago. It seemed a bit better then but nothing to write home about. Pizza was limp and flavorless. On the fattier side but without flavor. A good pizza the crust alone is worth chewing on. This was utter crud. Domino's is better. Service was fine but food was SLOW on Monday night. I understand this pizza takes longer to cook but it is NOT worth the wait. About 4 tables out of ~21 filled. 6:40PM arrival 6:53 drinks 7:09PM pizza. Check at 6:57 $20 for a small pizza is not worth unless you want to recapture some past feeling. MANY other better old places and new ones in Atlantic City. I won't list them but not coming back here for another 10 years at least. Avoid unless you're a TBG lover. read more

I had high expectations for this place, especially when I got in there and it looked like a real good old school Italian family restaurant. However, parking is absolutely terrible and tight. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs which were supposed to be one of the things they do best. The rest of my family ordered plain cheese pizza. The bread that came with my pasta was alright and they had some kind of oil at the table but of course it wasn't olive oil because this isn't a real Italian place. My spaghetti and meatballs came... yikes there was like a little dollop of sauce on the top of it, the meatballs were soft and broken up, the pasta was over cooked and mushy, and the flavor was at most bland. I don't know if the cook screwed up on my specific dish but whatever. The pizza was comparable to a bowling alley with undercooked crust and not a lot of sauce and cheese on each slice. But, it was better than the spaghetti and meatballs. Service was good, drinks were good, but this place doesn't deserve customers. I don't usually leave reviews but I wanted to save someone from the disappointment me and my family faced. Go to the Irish pub or Olive Garden instead. Definitely an old school kind of place in the best way! It's been around for a long time but I believe there are new owners. Very retro decor like a 1970s den. It's conveniently located a block off the boardwalk by Tropicana. We were seated pretty quickly even though it was crowded. Good also was pretty quick. The server was good and checked on us a few times. First we had the meatball appetizer. The meatballs were big and delicious. The salad had fresh ingredients/romaine, carrots, cakes and tomatoes. The pizza was very good. Crust was crunchy with just enough chew. There was a good sauce to cheese ratio. The cocktail menu had several cocktails Mae with Little Water Distillery spirits. It's a local distillery. They were very good. There is a very small parking lot. Street parking is available. It's a great place for a laid back meal without a lot of fuss. read more

They sell over five thousand meatballs a week and I can see why! Had to order more!!!! Sauce was great, bartender was a classic italian and this place felt rich with history. Any place that I can eat good food until 3am and drink a 3.50 coors light is good with me. I kept trying to order the roast beef platter but he didn't approve of my choice of sides. Wandered into here the other day and the bf was in a seafood mood and we ordered the clams casino pizza to go + bacon wrapped scallops. I don't eat scallops but my bf said they were cool. Personally I didn't care for the pizza, I thought it was salty or just had too much bacon. I never though I would say those words ever in my life in regards to bacon but I couldn't taste the seafood as it was more bacon than anything else. I need to try a regular pie from them next time I'm in AC. Service was good - the folks who helped me were super nice and the ambience of the place inside was cool. I loved our experience here. Dinner at 11pm. The atmosphere is 5+ stars. The interior is untouched by time. You feel like you're in a Martin Scorsese movie that takes place in the early 1960s. The service was good, casual, fast and friendly. The food was ok. We liked the pizza best... the rest of the dishes we tried were fine - nothing special, like what you'd get from any pizzaria. One suggestion: don't microwave the bread pudding - it was tasty, but the microwave made it tough and unpleasantly chewy. This is my favorite spot for pizza's in the city. There's something about the crust that I love it's chewy and crispy and delicious. Try the Nino's Favorite or Clams Casino which are the best in my opinion. The restaurant is split into two sections with a main dining room on one side and bar on the other. I'm usually sitting on the bar side and enjoying the music and dive experience. Bar is open 24 hours so definitely a good spot for your late night munchies. read more
