Called ahead to schedule a Saturday appointment since I work throughout the week (they are open half a day just as an fyi). Workers there were very kind,helpful and straightforward. The price for a smog was extremely reasonable in my opinion. My friend recommended me this place and I'm glad she did because they were done in about 30 minutes or less. Once my smog service was completed, the employee went over my smog certificate and charged me out. No hassle or anything! Will definitely be returning for all future smog services. read more

The dealership had cleared the emissions data from the car's computer while replacing an oil pan, and without the data, it wouldn't pass. Smog Inspector told me how to run the car for the next few days, and I wouldn't have to pay for another inspection if I brought it back within 30 days. I did as instructed and the car passed when I took it back. I really appreciated them helping me with what I needed to rebuild emissions data in the car's computer so it would pass, as well as not charging me for a second visit. I've been using Smog Inspector for our family's cars for a few years now, and will happily continue. read more

Friendly, fast, and the price is fair. Their price is beyond fair when compared to what a dealer charges.

I go here every other year I usually get the young guy with the tattoos and he's cool. For some reason this year the older guy who usually works the back was at the front desk. A white woman was in line before me, and he immediately wrote her in. I should note beforehand that I've been here when it was full of people and the young guy always got me in. This time the guy immediately stated they were booked up and busy. I did not say anything about seeing it busier or anything I just left. (IamBlack). I am not saying this is not a good place to get a smog. I am just sharing my experience today 1/31/2023. Every other time I've went here the service was great and I'd even go as far as tipping the old front desk guy. They promised me another retest within 30 days, but when I came back in the Owner had an attitude about redoing it again and didn't even pull it into the shop to retest it. I came in here for a Smog Check, to renew my registration. Through YELP, I found them and they were loaded with great reviews. When I drove up, I was asked if I had an appointment. I did not. He told me to have a seat and he would take care of me. I went through a quick checkin at the the front desk and took a seat. It was only a few minutes from there and I was told we were good to go. SUPER FAST. They also ran me through easier ways to go forward with paying the registration from there. Though when I went to DMV, I was in and out, within about 10 minutes. I've had my old class A motorhome and my Subaru both smogged at this shop in the past month. Nobody wanted to take care of my motorhome but they did it with a smile. I called on Friday and they had me come in the first thing on Monday. It only took about 20 minutes. Every other shop took over an hour. This shop knew exactly what to do. I called on a day in the middle of the week at 2PM and they had me come down at 2:30PM the same day with my 2010 Subaru. It took less than 15 minutes. They have inside and outside waiting. The shop looked clean and organized. The technitions were friendly and efficient. I have several other cars to be smogged. I'll be back. read more

AVOID TO ALL COST IF YOU LIKE TO BE RESPECTED..!! Real shady place to be called a business..!! Angry mechanic, before i even handed him my keys he came at me with a nasty (Angry mechanic)attitude.! Really shady looking receptionist at the counter. I like to be respected not treated like garbage!! Mechanic should leave his personal problems at home.! I have gone to the Smog Inspector for years for all my smog tests. Invariably I find them fast, professional and courteous. At other places I have had problems, but never a problem here. I had a great experience here. After reading the previous reviews I called to make an appointment and they got me in the same day. Super respectful, hardworking men. It was just two of them from what I saw but they do their best to get to the next customer as fast as they can. Wow! I love this place! I came in to get my 1991 truck smoged, and they were one of the only businesses in town who could do it. While there I got to relax and chat with the nicest employee. I was quoted a 25 minute wait and only waited about 15 minutes. My car passed and the price was very reasonable. Great customer service and highly recommend! read more
