This place and its food can be other worldly at times and other times......not We have eaten here many times over the years but not recently since the pandemic I stick with the beef fajitas and they are almost always very good! On occasion I will try something else and it is not up to that standard and I might try it again a year later....much better It is usually packed and loud! The Best fajitas ! Worth the 3 hour drive just to eat them. Service was excellent and the mango margaritas are fabulous!!!

Dinner was as always met my expectations. The food was simply delicious, the salsa and chips I really could've made a meal of them. The puffy taco dinner was excellent. Sat at the bar had such a wonderful experience, the bartender assistant was on top of his game. He was very attentive, courteous and polite. I used to live in the Shreveport area and liked eating here but not any more. My fajita salad was gross. The chicken was dry, the lettuce was mostly core and all of the beans were UNDER the tortilla bowl instead of inside it. I ate about half. THEN about an hour later, I started feeling sick to my stomach. Probably too many chips and salsa but they were the only thing good about the meal. The food is nasty and burnt. Their drinks taste like dirt. Their salsa is nasty and very unsanitary. The nacho cheese is like plastic.

I don't know what happened to this place. I have been going for tbe last 15 years, but the last year the food has been consistently bad.. soup so salty it's inedible ,especially the soup and salsa . When I complained, they and he told me " different people make the salsa differently ? What.. no recipe for your salsa? Also the very expensive beef fajitas usually have onions , peppers .. had only a few slices of onions and that was for a dinner portion which I'm sure I got a lunch portion because there was very little meat.. .. not one pepper . Happened twice so far.. Food lately has been consistently lukewarm or cold. I had a chicken salad and the chicken strips on top were nearly frozen.. a big turn off. The last time I went, the place ( usually packed ) was mostly empty. Hint , hint owners .. My sister, mom, aunt, and best friends all are of the same opinion. Wow !! They have really gone downhill drinks maybe awesome but service and food not impressed! Used to be my favorite.. got fajitas never got my rice or soup. Then asked for veggies to be cooked well .. they were raw. Looked for Carlos he was gone . Never had such a horrible experience .. the bar manager cams over. Came here from Texas with friends over the weekend. The nachos I had were very good! . The services was also very good. The band was ok, not really music I enjoy and definitely hard to talk over, but we did choose to sit on the patio, so that's expected! The famous strong margaritas are VERY strong. I thought they were gross and hard to drink though, I would have preferred just a regular margarita. I definitely wouldn't have gotten one had I known they were 15$. Three of us ate lunch 3/18/19 around 1130 am. We avoided the crowd as usual. Waiter was trying to take our order before we were ready. We all felt rushed by the waiter as though he was trying to get us to eat and leave as quickly as possible. We had food from lunch menu. Food was good but nothing to shout about. My wife had quesadillas which she said used to come with guacamole? My brother and I had the enchilada and tacos. He had chicken and i had beef. Waiter didn't offer fajita meat instead of ground beef. As I stated, food was good but atmosphere was "rush". Still good place to eat. read more

I have gone to Superior for as long as I can remember and I am 40 years old. I don't live in Shreveport anymore, but I visit annually and always stop by Superior for my favorite queso and flan. My last two visits in the last two years will probably be the last time I go to Superior which I'm really sad about. It doesn't look like the place has been cleaned since it was Cadillac Bar. The buffalo head that hangs on the wall had about six inches of dust built up on and it was hanging off his neck over our food. Disgusting!! Then the waiter brought us sodas in to go cups. They were full of dust and dirt as well. We showed the waiter and he was appalled. To go further, the walls and baseboards on the way to the bathrooms look like they have never been cleaned. Seriously it's just sad that Superior is a Shreveport institution and it's disgusting!!!!! You guys need to close the place down for a night and scrub everything. I noticed you did clean the buffalo after we pointed it out to the staff but everything else, who knows. Please Superior clean yourself up and take pride in yourself again!!! read more
