Loved it here. Jordan helped me and I got a alternative milk latte and an americano and they were both delicious! I would be back in a heart beat. I loved the service, so friendly. And I also loved the quaint inside that looked so cozy. Parking was on the street and easy, I will definitely be back (and I owe Jordan a piece of her apron she shared with me, mask is almost made so I can ship it!) read more

I have not been to the actual store. I bought a bag of their coffee while shopping on vacation and loved it so much that I now buy it and have it shipped to me. It's the best coffee I have ever had. read more

This great coffee roasting company roasts coffee daily! They have great prices and if you bring in your own container it is 10% off! Look at their website for all the different flavors of coffee offered from all over the world my favorite is their Colombian blend. Credit cards are accepted. read more

I had the privilege of recently meeting Ron the founder and was introduced to Superior Coffee Roasting Company. His passion and expertise are evident in the quality of the product. While I am no connoisseur of coffee I can honestly say this is some of the best coffee I've had! I can't wait to try all the varieties we purchased. A local store was selling their beans and I decided to try it being from the UP, and I have to tell you this is one of the best bag of beans I have had in a long time. Great coffee roasters who know what they are doing. Will be getting their beans often. read more

OK. So let's clarify. This place is not a coffee house. You don't get a fresh cup of coffee here. They just roast it. And it smells heavenly in here. There is a Bigby that is camouflaged in with Family Video down the road though. We were promptly greeted by a really nice guy. He even thanked us for stopping in. Great little place. read more

I visited Superior Roasting on a recent visit to the Soo. Bought the Creme' Brûlée blend and they even ground it for my Kcup machine. I cold brewed some of it for iced coffee and it was amazing! Flavor was full and it definitely had the Brûlée flavor - didn't even have to add sweetener! The roasting house is small but VERY welcoming. The gentlemen (owner/s) were very nice and knowledgeable. I will go back and buy LOTS MORE coffee on my next trip! read more

Love this place! I get a little caffeine buzz just walking through the door with the wonderful coffee aroma. It's off the beaten trail, and it's a little unfortunate they don't sell brewed coffee to-go. But we can't have everything, can we? read more

Located on the banks of Lake Superior in Northern Michigan, we are a well established coffee roasting company and leading purveyor of fresh, hand crafted, and uniquely designed coffee. As a company we are focused on both coffee, and freshwater quality elements as a key part of our mission. We recognize that a good cup of coffee requires not only good coffee, but good water as well. You can't have one without the other. Our partnerships, donations, and overall support to freshwater protection, especially in the unique and beautiful Great Lakes region of North America is what makes us proud. History

Established in 2012.

Owner Ron Kurnik having had a background in roasting coffee and appreciating the fact that fresh roasted coffee wasn't that readily available in the Eastern U.P. and into Ontario took it upon himself to build a business and a brand that would be unique to the area. Now 1 in 3 people drink our coffee exclusively! Ok, that was made up, but we'll say that's our 5 to 10 year goal! :)

I will happily admit we were very wrong. Les Cheneaux opened their new building, right on the water, in January. It is beautiful; warm, spacious, contemporary and inviting. Plenty of room to sit, relax and gather with friends. And their deck. Wow. Beautiful waterfront views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Felt right at home. We ordered 16 oz mochas in mugs. They were steamy hot, creamy and beautiful. The taste was rich and smooth without being too sweet; just the way we like them. After viewing another customer's breakfast burrito, we decided to each try them. The food menu is limited to bagels, bagel egg sandwiches and burritos. We had the chorizo egg burrito with potatoes. It was excellent. With a small park next door, a library across the street and plenty of room to stretch your legs and walk along the water's edge, this cafe is a winner. We are already planning a return visit that will include daily visits to Lesl Cheneaux Coffee Roasters. Next trip, we will purchase beans and bring the good flavors home with us.
