I reached out and called the bank and met with Rhonda Dean, the loan officer for the bank. We told her we were in the process of selling our home down in Homestead, Florida and were going to buy a house in the area. We also advised we were interested in opening up a bank account and transferring our funds from our old bank to Citizens National Bank. She immediately got to work. She got Joyce and James from the bank to help us set up our accounts and started working on our loan. She was helpful, always a phone call or email away as we had to do a lot of the early work from Miami, Florida. She was awesome! Helping us get our loan and made this tough process as smooth as possible. Everyone at the bank we have worked with has been patient, friendly and very helpful! My account was given to Shane Crites and his office for representation going forward. Recently my son was in an auto accident and I contacted his office. Made 3 calls within a matter of two days. The last phone call he told me he would "do some research" and contact me later in the afternoon. It has been over a week and I still haven't heard from him. Communication doesn't seem to be high on the priority list for him or his office staff. After this incident with my son is resolved I will be looking for other representation and if that means leaving State Farm, which I love, then so be it. I wouldn't recommend doing business with this representative. It seems to me he has no problem taking money when gaining new customers but when dealing with claims or anything other than gaining new customers he could care less.

I am happy to work there, plenty of cool things about working for the company and one of them is the fact there is a fire museum located in the company that is open to the public. It is open 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. on the third Friday of each month or by appointment. As a new employee, I was given a tour of the museum. I loved it! Per the website, the fire museum was open because: "Central was first founded as a fire insurance company. In rural midwestern towns similar to Van Wert, buying fire insurance was a difficult and costly proposition. Construction materials were primarily wood and there was little, if any, organized protection against fire. The large, established eastern insurance companies were hesitant to provide insurance protection. The Van Wert County Mutual Fire Insurance Company was formed on April 5, 1876 to fill that need and was the start of what was to become today's Central Insurance Companies. The threat of a disastrous fire was always very real and the equipment used to fight fires was primitive. F. W. "Bill" Purmort, Jr., President of Central from 1964 to 1994, first took an interest in collecting fire equipment in 1969. Bill was particularly proud of Central's heritage with a deep respect for the past. He gradually built Central's museum in to one of the finest privately owned collections in the U.S. The museum is a fitting tribute to former President Bill. Our museum includes: A collection of leather fire buckets dating back to the 1700's. A collection of over 600 antique fire toys consisting of cast iron, rubber, glass, tin and wood construction. A large display of fire extinguishers and glass fire "grenades" dating from the 1850's. A rare and valuable collection of "fire marks" dating back to 1720. A variety of antique fireman helmets. A hand-drawn pumper, Van Wert's first used in 1871. An Ahrens horse drawn steam pumper which was purchased new in 1907 by the City of Van Wert and restored by Central. A 1926 Ahrens-Fox pumper, the Rolls Royce of firetrucks." These are just some of the fascinating and historic items housed in Central's Fire Museum. The museum is dedicated to the ingenuity and pioneer spirit of those who came before us. Much of the equipment on display is part of our local history and was actually used in Van Wert. We're proud of our heritage and pleased that we can offer a look into the past." I decided to quote the website as I thought they did a great job describing what is in the fire museum and why it was created. It was an incredible experience. I loved seeing all the old fire trucks, helmets and other items in the museum. It certainly was interesting to find out the history of fire fighting, fire departments, and essentially how fire insurance and modern insurance companies came about. If you are in the area, you should definitely check the museum out.

Been with this office for thirty years, including homeowners insurance since 2013. Never filed a…read morehome claim. I had my roof inspected after many of my neighbors had roof replacements recently. A hail storm is on record here on 4/17/24. The roofer and third party inspector found many obvious signs of weather damage. The claim was denied saying that no hail and wind damage was present...normal wear and tear. There was clear damage in pictures and dents all over my aluminum roof vents and downspouts. I have at least 10 neighbors who have already had roofs replaced and others that are insurance approved, so this isn't an unwarranted claim. The folks at my agent's office offered to help at first, then said there was a problem being able to see the 40 pictures I sent, then after re-uploading pictures didn't care to weigh in and advocate for me with claims...said it's out of their hands. The roofer I was working with also said their teams have been instructed to avoid dealing with State Farm, who is notorious for denying all kinds of valid claims. I've been a loyal customer of 30 years and have auto, home, personal property, and life insurance through State Farm. This agent, without any communication with me, transferred all my accounts to another agent, after my dispute of this claim...all because I had something to say when they did me wrong by denying a valid claim. The third party inspector cited 3 areas of wind damage that were dismissed by the adjuster. Look at the pictures and judge for yourself. One from my roof and the other from SF's own documentation. Ed retired, now there's a new agent, so they were hoping to just sweep my complaint under the rug with old Google listing dying. Sorry, Jason. I am now in a position where the only way I can go to another insurance company would be by lying and saying there's no pre-existing damage. My hands are tied, and I can't get help from State Farm. Don't find yourself in this same situation. Go with someone else. This was mishandled through this office. You work closely with Lori in your office who has all the details. This office has chosen not to help me. I will leave it to you to reach out to me to help, but I won't hold my breath.
