Vincent's was the only company I truly trusted to call. I did get additional quotes, but I ultimately chose Vincent's because of the confidence I had in their people, and I can honestly say it was the right decision. I especially want to recognize Brandon, who led this project. From the beginning, he was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and professional. He took the time to clearly explain what needed to be done and why, and the approach that would be taken to get it done, which gave me a tremendous amount of confidence moving forward. When Brandon and Sean showed up together on the very first morning to begin the work, I knew without any doubt the job was going to be done thoroughly and the right way. Sean has consistently been reliable, skilled, and respectful every time he has come to my house over the years, and this project was no exception. We had central air installed by SB Heating & Air Conditioning (located on Griswold Rd) this past…read moreFebruary 2024. We chose to go with SB because they were familiar with our home, and also the techs had stated they had been providing HVAC services to our home for many years. Every time we had called (which wasn't often) they remembered our home and the way our HVAC systems were configured in our home. The AC was installed with mostly no issues. One issue I observed was how upset the owner became when the charge didn't clear and deposit into their bank account immediately, and kept trying to re-run my husband's card even though we showed proof that the charge was pending out of our account. It did take several days to clear, which was no fault of ours and considering it was several thousand dollars I'm not surprised it took a few days to clear. Anyways... This past Thursday, Semco came to our home to do a routine change of our gas meter, and through the course of their job were apparently getting a read about a gas leak. Thankfully my husband was home, and the worker asked to come inside and look around. Our furnace is located in our crawl space, and my husband was able to go down there with the tech with his fancy gas detectors and the reads were through the roof. He quickly located the leak, and it was located at the pipes that SB had installed when they installed our Central AC in February. It was apparent that they had not tightened the pipe adequately, causing us to have a gas leak in our home for the last almost 3 months. The tech tightened the pipe, and the leak stopped immediately. We chose to have the tech take care of it instead of calling SB coming back out because at this point I'm seeing red and didn't want to invite them back into my home to fix something that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. After all this, my husband called SB to advise the company of what had just occurred. The owner then claimed "he isn't familiar with the setup of our home" and stated he would call back. Needless to say; we haven't heard boo from them, and I imagine we likely won't. This is not okay. Thankfully it was an easy fix; however this could have ended badly. The tech wouldn't even let my husband turn the overhead light on in the crawl space due to the high levels of gas that were detected. My daughter has had complaints of headaches and dizziness over the last few months that I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to, but knowing what I know now, I'm sure that gas leaking in my home is directly related to the symptoms she was experiencing. We never smelled gas in our home, and occasionally smelled propane in the garage, that we attributed to a small tank we found. I'm not asking for money, I'm asking for ownership and acknowledgment of a mistake.

It looked like a scene from a horror movie. We built in the late 90s. Price was very reasonable.
