They showed up exactly when they said they would, completed the entire project in only four days, exactly how long they told me it would take, and stayed positive and professional the entire time. For a project this extensive and intimidating, they made the entire process feel manageable. The organization and cleanliness throughout the project were honestly unbelievable. For a job of this size, I hardly had any cleanup to do afterward at all, which was incredibly important while working full-time, and going to school full-time during finals week. For the first time in the 10 years I have owned my home, my basement is completely dry. No standing water, no musty smell, and no anxiety every time it rains. We called to have our furnace looked at as we had no heat. When the technician came he said the…read morethere was a major part that needed to be replaced but it was under warrantee. It took several days to get the part in and once it was installed I was handed a bill for $2000. I was told that $500 of that bill was to return the old part to the manufacturer. Upon investigating I found out that the manufacturer covers the cost of returning defective parts under warrantee and this repair should have been around $500 to $600. I requested an itemized bill from them and was told that they don't do that and was ignored when I made further inquiries. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We woke up to no heat, made the call to Handy Brothers and within the next half hour at the least Sheldon arrived to face repairs to a twenty odd year old furnace. Within the next hour, he diagnosed and explained the problem, got the heat running, knowledgeably and efficiently answered all our questions, helped us ( through a low-pressure conversation) choose the best replacement furnace for our home and while waiting to be sure the furnace was going to run efficiently, he put a new switch on the fireplace. Great technician and fantastic service from the phone call to this posting. (They have already called to make arrangements to come measure for the new low energy, high efficiency furnace unit).
