I love my new (to me) car, a 2015 Honda Accord Touring. My sales agent, Walter Evans, was very helpful in showing me all the mechanics and gizmos on my car. The only part of the process I did not appreciate was the, what I considered to be, undue pressure to purchase extended warranty and other such insurance extras -- even after I had clearly made it known that I did not wish to purchase same. In the beginning, my experience was not so good with their sales person Hank, because he did not clearly answer my cost-related questions for the lease on Honda Fit LX 2016. I was not informed how the figures of monthly payments had been calculated. When signing the documents I realized I had been charged about 30$ more per month than what had been discussed. Their business manager was not very helpful in addressing my concerns about the changes in figures, and later I also noticed the change in "agreed upon value of the car" which looked like it was about $2k higher than the quoted price. However few days later their new car sales manager Jesse reached out to me based on my DealerRater review, & addressed all my concerns. He explained to me in detail about the breakup of prices and taxes, in the Honda lease v/s a traditional lease, & apologized on behalf of some of their salesmen that did not give me complete and accurate information to begin with. I was satisfied after this meeting because 1. I felt like Honda does care about customer experience after all and 2. I purchased my daughter's Honda Civic at King's Honda at the King's Automall. I have taken it there for service and regular maintenance for years. She got her last oil change there, not too long ago, and an inspection. Clean bill of health. THIS time, for the FIRST AND LAST time, she took the car to Superior Honda for an oil change. An oil change on a car that receives regular inspections and service. I asked her to text when she was done with the total. An hour passes, and hour and a half... I texted her, thinking that she forgot. She was STILL there, because they found a shitload of additional things she needed. Including a tire rotation on the new tires that we recently put on the car. Brake work, fluid, filters... as if they car hadn't been worked on for a decade. They TOTALLY took advantage of a naive college student and her naive mother who thought she could trust them to do an OIL CHANGE. Bastards. 2/20/17: The "service" rep, Megan, continues to be an uncooperative liar regarding a different issue. The only reason the car was towed back here is because the engine cracked and Superior was the last one to service it. The engine was taken care of (a defect that could have killed my daughter when the car literally broke in the middle of Red Bank) but she lied about yet another issue. Pathetic. read more

I wouldn't recommend this car dealership to anyone, all they care about it taking your money. They sold me a car & the title wasn't even in their name, which is illegal in the state of Ohio. I had to beg them for a month to rectify that situation so it could be put in my name. I asked them to repair the broken window motor before I would purchase it, and it was like pulling teeth to get it accomplished. Now, two months later, my car literally caught on fire and the computer within it is fried. The 'management,' won't return my calls. So save yourself the trouble and buy anywhere but here!!! I submitted a cancellation form for my Honda Care via Rick in September. On Oct 16th, Honda Care's customer service said they had no record of it. Rick refused to return my calls until I spoke with another manager. The call I received from him on the 18th basically consisted of him saying "I turned it in (obviously he hadn't). I don't know what to tell you." On October 31st, I called Honda Care's customer service again, and it seems good ol' Rick turned in the form with the WRONG mailing address-- despite assuring me they would update it to my new address. Honda Care had to cancel and re-issue the payment. Here we are, November 21st, and I'm still waiting for the refund check. read more

Superior takes care of their customers, not just during the transaction but well after. This Friday, I woke up to an impounded car. When I went to pick my car up, I realized that my registration document was not in the glove compartment as anticipated. Ray in finance (shout out Ray!!!!!) answered the phone and was able to fax my registration documents to me so that I was able to retrieve my vehicle. If you're like me, constantly either finding yourself or putting yourself in a jam, these are the guys to have on your side! The customer service is exceptional while at Superior Honda. The shuttle service is very helpful and friendly. The service department is not great at answering the phones but when they do answer they are very helpful. I get my routine maintenance done there for my 2017 Honda Civic because it's easier to track for my extended warranty. Sometimes I consider going elsewhere because I do pay close to $200 every time I go. However, I understand they are Honda trained specialists and they provide more preventative care than a typical oil change place. read more

I've bought two Accords at Superior over in last 20 years and always felt their service department was first rate. Until this summer. The springs that held my trunk lid open (2012 model) broke in June. I called Superior and was told they couldn't get any due to the international shipping slowdown. In August I learned from another service provider that the parts are now available. So I called Superior again. There was no record of my call in June because the person I talked with in June was no longer with them. The guy I talked with in August asked me for specific details I didn't have about the trunk lid problem, then I got a major run around, transferred to someone who didn't call me back. Called a few days later asking for service manager, who didn't call me back. Since phone calls were futile, I went online to request service on their "chat" and it said they had no record of me as a customer....after 20 years. That was a week ago. So this week I called Honda East and it was easy to connect with a service advisor and they installed the replacement springs today. Really disappointed in Superior. read more

We had a wonderful experience with this dealership, acquiring another accord lease for my mom. I used the edmunds "lot buddy" program by chance. It lists the discounted price and gives you a guaranteed price sheet. The first dealer I used with this program did a "bait and switch" by saying that the price was "a typo" and they wouldn't honor it. The second attempt with this program was through superior honda. I got a quick and courteous response from Mary, the Internet sales manager. She was very friendly and polite but also very efficient and accurate. The prices she quoted me for various down payments were SPOT ON, meaning they didn't waver one bit like so many other dealerships will do. Anyway we went to the dealership (from Louisville) and again the experience was top notch. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and accommodating. There was no monkey business, just straight forward and efficient dealings. We also worked with Desiree who was great, friendly and patient! The finance manager was also very nice and again no games. To whom it may concern, I have brought my cars for service to Superior Honda for 8 years. I have used Superior Honda service department for all major service on my 2006 Civic since it was new... since I wanted it to last for many years - including all transmission service. After the transmission fluid change in Sept 2013, a puddle of transmission fluid appeared on my garage floor. I took it to the nearest dealer - Matt Castruchi in Dayton - and an inspection revealed that the housing was had been cracked when the drain was loosened and the washer was still original. I immediately returned to Superior Honda and the service manager confirmed those findings. The service manager listed several options, but convinced me that they could repair the break (saying he would "grind down the crack and weld" the break), so that's what I aggreed to. He kept the car for 10 days and when returned it was no longer leaking. Recently when I brought the car back for another transmission service, I was told the tranmission was not servicable and would require a complete rebuild. The new service manager didn't agree that it was Superior's responsibility - offering only to "work with me" . I understand the car has a lot of miles and I also understand I let a former service manager con me with his half-assed repairs. The bottom line for me is... after bringing my car for service to Superior Honda that you were unable to losen a transmission drain plug 4 times without causing significant damage and then refused to take responsibility for it. According to my records, I have spent over $6000 at the Superior Service Department over the years. I wanted you to be aware of why I do not intend to deal with Superior Honda again. read more

Also after $500 worth of maintenance, they didn't reset my oil life counter, and couldn't explain to me how to do myself once I realized it and called. Oh My God. ! These guys are impossible. Most Horrible experience of my life. Read it and decide yourself. After selling a 2013 Honda accord EXL, they started the inspection in hurry. The 160 point check is rubbish. Even the tire pressure was not checked and car was given to me with the tire pressure warning light on. Bluetooth paring failed for which I had come back after 24hrs. After driving a few days, I realized that the door plastic pillars are coming off which makes driving noisy. When I came back to report, one of the mechanic checked and told me everything is fine. When I insisted on re-checking, another service person checked and agreed that there was a fault. He immediately placed an order for the same and told me that they will call me back when the part will arrive. After about a month they did not contact me. On checking I found they forgot about my order and apologized for it. They asked me to come back between 8 and 9 am next day and every thing will be taken care. I did the same and dropped my car early morning. Around afternoon I get a call that only one spare part has been ordered. The other one is missing. So they have to reschedule me for another day. No calls after another month of wait. When I call them they found my parts. I came back for service, dropped my car in the morning 9:30am, no estimate time, no call all day. Finally they closed the shop without any information. I have to pay to the Uber to come back home. I mean. What the hell is going on guys !! You guys get paid to do you job. Don't you ? Then you better do it. Remember... No customers.. No jobs... No salaries..Certainly No fun... !! I will not recommend Superior Honda to any of my friends. read more

I purchased a used Odyssey from here two years ago, and I also purchased the Honda Care warranty at that time. A few months ago, my van began shaking, and I had my local garage look at it. I ended up with 4 new tires, an alignment, new front brakes and new rotors... but still had the shaking. I called Superior and was able to get the van in at a time that was convenient for me, and later that same day received the call that I needed 2 new front axles, cv joints, and boots. They had the parts in stock and were able to replace everything by the next afternoon. All parts and labor were covered by Honda Care, and my out of pocket cost was nothing! After the repair was completed, the mechanic and service manager still felt that it wasn't completely fixed, but after some balancing and rotation they felt that the shaking was gone. During the entire process, I was kept updated via text from a person (Erica) at the shop, and I never had to call to check on progress or ask when the repair would be completed. Everyone was extremely helpful, professional, and thorough. My Odyssey drives better now than it has in months! I was extremely happy with the service I received. read more

Stopped in at 3:00 on a Sunday to buy a minivan. Nice enough sales guy. I didn't even feel like haggling. They couldn't get a deal done right there and said I would have to wait until Tuesday. I wait and wait... I call Tuesday morning and ask to speak to the finance manager. Guy says he'll call right back. Doesn't. Call my sales guy and he says he will call me back in about an hour. 3 hours later I call back and nobody answers. 4 hours later i get offered voice mail. Experience started off great and then it quickly went sour. I worked with Megan in service who was very nice at first. I had asked her to call me when my car was towed there which she did. I also asked Megan to call me once they diagnosed my car but she only called to see if I would accept the fees for more diagnostic testing and I did. After that I never heard from her. I called on a daily basis and left messages with her and the staff to have someone call me, I didn't care who I worked with I just wanted to know what the diagnosis was with my car since it showed up not running. TWO WEEKS go by with no response from Megan....every time I called I was told I would have to deal with her since she was handling everything with my car and nobody would help me even when I explained my frustration of her not returning my phone calls. Finally got through to Megan who had a nasty attitude and very brief description as to what the diagnosis was with my car and basically hung up. This is my multi thousand dollar car and I chose to give Honda Superior my business, I think I deserve a little bit more respect than that. Since my insurance company considered my car a total loss I had to go to Superior Honda so I could get some paperwork out of my car before it was towed. When I showed up Megan wouldn't even be bothered with me but once again I was told I would have to go through her. She answered my questions as if she was annoyed and didn't want to be troubled (wouldn't even look up from her computer), said she didn't have my key and I would have to go through insurance, was terribly rude AGAIN and then stormed off. A very helpful lady (wish I would have got her name) helped me out and actually found the key in Megan's drawer (this is soooo ridiculous) and I was able to get my paperwork out of my car. Given the circumstances I feel I was pretty nice and never complained so the terrible attitude was uncalled for. Not having your car is stressful enough, but having to hound Superior Honda on a daily basis for two weeks and then dealing with the horrendous customer service from Megan and other staff is unacceptable. I obviously need a car because mine is totaled and would have loved to of bought ANOTHER Honda at Superior Honda but after my experience with Megan I will take my business somewhere else. read more

Had a great car buying experience. Amanda was amazing, and Hank did a great job too. They were one of the only dealers in the state to have a 2017 accord coupe V6 with a manual transmission. I got a great price and couldn't be happier. I looked at all the other local Honda dealerships, even test drove a few vehicles. I wanted the Accord coupe with a manual transmission, and none of the other dealers would even look to see if they could get one. I was so disappointed and almost bought a Civic SI, but Superior had one on the lot, and they also told me about some other colors they could get from dealers across the country. Amanda went above and beyond and when I need a car again, I will be calling her. I was treated right and I will be a customer for life. PS - get the tire protection warranty. I got 2 flat tires and scratched my rims exactly 1 month after I bought my car. The warranty was $695, and they paid over $1200 in claims. read more

My honda had a recall for airbag issue. I called superior Honda to find out when I could get it in. I set the appt. for 11/14 a week and a half after I called to set up an appt. I figured I would have transmission drain and fill done as well. I was told it would be 75.00 to have this done. My appointment was at 10:00 on 11/14. Megan checked me in and said it would be 1.5 to 2 hours to complete and cost for transmission fill and drain would be 80.00. Told her they quoted 75.00 when I called to set appt. and she said ok. They had also told me on phone it would take 1.5 hours to complete. With that being the case and my car was there at 9:50 in the morning I had a 1:00 appt. to go to so I figured I would be out of there by noon at the latest. After watching several cars go around mine while it was outside the service doors, I told Megan at 10:45 I had a 1:00 appt. and asked if my car would be done since it hadn't been brought in yet. She said "oh yeah no problem it will be done". Well at 1:25, three and 1/2 hours later it was complete, causing me to miss my 1:00 appt. and making it a real nightmare. This was my first time to superior Honda and also the last as I will not take any of my hondas there for anything. I stopped by Superior Honda after work one afternoon to check out a Honda Civic I saw listed on an auto sales website. The deal looked too good to be true, and it turned out to be so. The listing agent had made an error and listed the car for thousands less than their expected price. They were very apologetic about the error, and I ended up with a fairly new sales rep while I asked questions and drove a couple of vehicles. I also went to a competitor Honda dealer on the East side, and the comparison in their approaches were very different. Where the East side dealer seemed a little shady, Superior Honda was definitely more helpful, seemed more honest, and put less pressure on me to commit to a purchase. They patiently let me spend a week dropping in, kicking tires, driving a car every now and then, etc. When it came time to buy, they got me an outstanding loan rate, worked with me on price, and delivered a used car that looked like new. Got down there, test drove it, got trade in value, then sat around for 30 minutes only to have the salesman come tell me the price I was quoted was mistyped. I wish I could give this 0 stars because their service department is one of the WORST I have ever encountered. Not only do they overcharge but their service is AWFUL and takes FOREVER. I brought my Honda Accord here back in October and they took 2 weeks to fix it and they charged me over $1000 to replace a fuel pump and main relay. I figured this was fine because the quality of service must be great. Oh how I was wrong. 2 weeks ago, my car stopped starting again and I took it in for repairs. They "fixed" it (which took over a week) and 2 days AFTER I got it back from them it broke down AGAIN. When I called, James said that if it was something that they missed, they would pay towing and repair costs. I get a phone call saying the cost will be over $700 to repair my car for a new distributor PLUS towing and that it wasn't related to the first issue, so I must pay the full cost. This is absolutely ridiculous and I shouldn't have to pay to get my car towed twice and car repaired on twice when they should've fixed the car correctly in the first place. You're telling me my car breaking down 2 days after Superior Honda "fixed" it is somehow coincidence? I call that bad service. I have been without a car for 2 weeks now and have had to miss several classes (I am a college student) and work due to their slow and inadequate service. Never in my life will I bring my car here again and I'm warning all of you to STAY AWAY if you want to avoid them not returning your calls, being on hold, being overcharged, and your car constantly breaking down because they didn't fix it correctly in the first place. read more

Today I received the worst automotive customer service I have ever received in my 12 years of driving. I came in on Tuesday the 28th because of a headlight out. The turn signal, high beam, and running lamp were all still working, I just needed a simple headlight bulb replaced. I bought the bulb at autozone for 5 bucks and brought it with me to the dealership to replace. After waiting over a hour in the waiting area I was told by the receptionist that the mechanic tried to install the bulb but I had purchased the wrong one. I thought this was strange because I had done my research on what bulb to buy. But I said screw it just give me one of your $20 bulbs and install it since I'm already here and my car is already being looked at. So after installing the bulb they came back to me and say' we installed the bulb for you but your low beam is still not working. We suggest you come back and get a $59 diagnosis for the headlight.' So I schedule the appointment for today, my only off day at 9:15am. I get to the dealership and wait for about 2 hours when finally they come up to me and say,' it seems your headlight is loose and needs a whole new headlight assembly. It will cost over $500.' This car is over a decade old so I don't expect it to run, perform and be air tight on every inch of the car. So I drive to a mechanic in Carthage and the guy got under my hood and said,' dude, your headlight may be loose but it's fine. They just switched the wrong bulb. They changed the high beam instead of the low beam!' The guy fixed it in 10min! I had spent over 3 hours in a waiting area and had a certified Honda technician work on my car and not fix it properly just to have a small town mechanic fix the problem in 10min! Unbelievable. Then of course when I return to Honda to get my money back, they want to argue and say well we will pay what we charged you for the bulb we replaced, oh the bulb you said I needed because I bought the wrong one, but not the $59 diagnosis that I didn't even need. Greg the manager I first spoke with did not provide any help and was rude. Then his boss Matt Brosz, spoke with me and was trying to say the same thing. Matt did do a better job then Greg though. After dealing with this horrible customer service they gave me the money for the bulb back and some gift cards for future work. If you guys(Honda) can't even change a light bulb the right way, why would I want to trust you with anything else in my car?! Someone needs to do a better job managing this location. read more

I recently purchased a used car with my Daughter. The process was painfully slow. After agreeing to a price it took over 3 hours to get in to see the finance manager. While waiting I struck up a conversation with a different sales person and commented on how long this was taking. He said that it is common there and has been a big problem for some time. Our salesman, Rick M, told us after 90 minutes that we were next up. Well 90 minutes after that we finally were next up. We get the car home and discover that the cd player does not work so I emailed our salesperson asking if there is anything we can do about it. He never responds. read more
