Evelyn was great with handling my fur baby Bentley, being that it was his first time there. I typically take him to PetSmart for grooming but wanted to try something more local. Bentley's hair was short so it didn't take too long before I picked him up. I dropped him off at 130p and he was done by 3pm. I asked for a round shape cut for his face and it was rounded but very choppy (like he didn't have any eyebrows. I asked for his nails to be cut and one was missed. We got a puppy toy poodle beginning November of last year. We had scheduled grooming to be done as soon as he got all his needed shots but had a bad experience for his first grooming at Petco. I was given information about 'Superior Pet Grooming' from a lady I met at a store who had a toy dog as well; I couldn't be happier! Evelin was amazing, kind and welcoming. I felt comfortable leaving our puppy with her. The place looked busy but happy and "alive". The dogs were ALL so adorable! When I picked up our puppy two hours later, he looked so cute. He got a puppy cut as we requested and his hair looked shiny and smelled delicious as well! They put a bandanna on him which was a sweet touch! I've been taking my Bernedoodle here for 3 years and Evelyn is a fantastic groomer: responsive, fast (typically takes 3 hours to groom my dog), she gives a great cut (my dog gets a lot of compliments after being groomed), and she always includes a cute bandana. I have taken my large dog to Superior for baths and nail trims over the last four years and have always received the best service. The owner is friendly, courteous, and has a good rapport with my dog. I am very particular about where I'll leave my girl but have no hesitation leaving her here. Update 11/13/24: I've been taking my dog, Biko, to Superior Pet Grooming for over a year and a half now. Biko is an anxious dog, but he always seems to be content and happy when I come pick him. I love that they finish up quickly, so Biko doesn't have to wait in the crate a long time. Evelyn and the team do a wonderful job, and I always recommend them to others. I moved about 2 hours away and was worried about finding a good groomer for my miniature poodle. in Sacramento, I frequented Superior Pet and also Bath and Biscuit. I spent 3 years looking for a new groomer in the Lake Tahoe area without any luck. My poor girl has had some bad cuts. Needless to say, when I visit, I do my best to bring her for her grooming needs.
