Very impressed with Derrick's quick response time as well as diligence in his work. Being new to the home ownership process, I relied heavily on Derrick's thoroughness and ability to communicate important items that resulted from the inspection and he in fact delivered. Not only did he keep the scheduled meet time but he was early to the prospective home. He listened to my concerns beforehand and made sure to review and address each one when we met for the debrief. I love that he made sure that I met him at the location and he slowly walked me through each item on the report. Derrick did a wonderful job. We were moving from out of state, and it was easy to communicate with him to get it scheduled. In addition, he walked me through the main items he would be checking, and explained the differences in the Texas inspections from our previous state. The report was thorough, detailed, and contained enough images to where we could see the issues present. After being told by multiple inspection companies that they would not able to come out because of a form required to be signed from the builder, I reached out to my amazing realtor and she gave me a referral for Superior Home Inspection Services. I needed to have the inspection completed within two days. After speaking with Derrick on Wednesday, he told me that he could do the inspection Friday morning and there was no issue to sign the form from the builder. When I arrived to my home Friday morning, Derrick had already been there for two hours and was working extremely hard. He was very thorough and walked with me throughout the home to show me issues that needed to be addressed. I was really surprised when I got my report and it did not include the aluminum wiring. I had to call him and he had to go back and review photos and changed the report. This is such a basic thing it really worried me about what else was missed. Another very annoying thing is in almost every section of the report, it suggests I get a "specialist" for further inspection. I counted 9 different times it says this. Obviously this isn't possible under tight inspection timeframes and I felt like it was a way to CYA and not be detailed. I wasn't going to leave a bad review until I discovered today all the recent marketing calls I've been receiving about my new house is from them selling my information!! read more

I called all 3 and Derrick (the owner of the company) was the most professional and readily answered my quick questions about what he would be doing. He was up front about the price, explaining the breakdown right on the phone. He was able to quickly schedule my appointment and promptly sent me all the materials and information needed. He was early to my inspection appointment and allowed me to follow him around, asking a question or two. Very professional and very thorough with the inspection itself (over 4 hours).
