Went in to have 4 tires put on my BMW M440xi. They lost one Nitrogen valve cap, replaced it with a regular black valve cap and never said a thing. They also scratched one mag, which I brought to their attention and of course, which they denied. Not a great experience. Would not recommend trusting them with your car. Seems like kind of a high-pressure sales place. I don't think it would be my first choice for tire service in the future.

I've found a new mechanic. Superior Tire & Auto do a few things that make a world of difference: first off they let you know what their schedule is like instead of just getting you to drop off your car and waiting for them to get to it. They gave me a time to bring it in and before I left the lot I watched as the mechanic brought it into the garage. They also don't try to force work on you that doesn't need to be done. On a recent brake job I had asked them to replace the shoes, pads and rotors on on four wheels. The mechanic phoned me a few hours later and told me the back wheels didn't need it. I told him I'd rather do it now then come back in a few months. He told me in a few months I still wouldn't need it. Basically I asked him twice to do more work and charge me more money but he wouldn't. Finally, they are priced right. Their hourly wage is competitive in an area where there isn't much competition. TO SUM IT UP: Fairly priced, honest to a fault and they care about your time. Just about everything you'd want in a girlfriend but in mechanic form. read more

On 3 separate occasions they lied to me or just not check what I asked. For one they told me there was nothing wrong with my brake lights. I then looked a while later and they were still out. When I brought back in to check they said it was an electrical problem. I had my brother check and it was just burnt bulbs! Do not go here. They don't care about doing a job properly. read more

Fully, unequivocally awesome. Here is me: I am across the street at the Metro grocery shopping. I have a billion more errands to run. I come back to my car with all my groceries and there are TWO notes on it telling me about my flat back tire... I thought I heard something crazy while I was arriving at the grocery store... ANYWAY I try not to freak out, contemplate calling CAA and waiting forever (I have SO MANY things to do though)... I'm wildly looking around for answers, when VOILA! Across the street, I spy a big sign that says "SUPERIOR TIRE & AUTO" with a HUGE phone number. I dial it. I tell them the predicament, and propose I try to make it across the street with my car (slowly, with hazards on) so they can take a look. They tell me to go for it! Points for daredevil impulses! Leon is who I dealt with - he was fantastic. Very nice, not pushy in the least. Totally upfront, honest, fine with my old clunker, very polite, friendly and QUICK! The two senior men sounded like they're from the UK... maybe Australia... I'm not great with accents. I arrive, they discover the following: A) There is a nail in my flat tire. B) There is a screw in the other back tire. C) All four of my tires are what they call "bald". Decision time. Sighing and mulling. They have a special on FAB winter tires that week, it turns out, for $89 each! SWEET! I decide to just get 4 new winter tires and be done with it... and here I thought I was just running errands! Ouch! Anyway, they were super fast - my nail place (http://www.yelp.ca/biz/michelle-le-nails-east-york) is in the mini-plaza next door, so I just went and got "muh nulls did". This is my mechanic in the East End. They have been good to deal with, and go over all options when it comes to repairing my stylin 10 year-old car. Yes, they repair beaters here.... I have never felt ripped off or oversold by this place, which is as good as it gets for a mechanic. Labour rate is an honest $65/hr. Beware other places such as Crappy Tire, that might charge a slightly higher labour rate. They will often charge you just to look at the problem -- which is not exactly fixing anything, isn't it? read more

My two back tires needed to be replaced - I called Superior and they were able to see me right away. The price was honest and cheaper than any other quotes I received. The work was done quickly and without hassle. I find as a woman, that dealing with anything automotive can sometimes be challenging. Since I do not know much about cars, it is easy to take advantage. However, this was not the case at Superior at all. Superior Tire and Auto listened to exactly what I thought needed to be done and then stayed aligned with what I had set out as my budget. I had a follow up question the day after having my tires fixed and they were very helpful and told me to bring the car right in. I feel very comfortable using this repair shop and will recommend Superior Tire and Auto in the future. read more

So here's my hypothesis: the Superior business model is to low-ball the tire sale to get the customer's car in the shop and then, when the car is on the hoist, find additional real or contrived sales, reliably countIng on customers' ignorance about their own vehicles. They are persuasive and, if that doesn't work, will use pressure (like the guy who they wouldn't allow to take his vehicle out of the shop unless they repaired it because it's now their liability, they claimed). Superior tire and Auto has been my mechanic for many years. Mr. Roberto in the front desk always takes care of me and my sister the same day I call or the following day. He is very fair with his prices. And I had to leave a review because not long ago I had my first accident on the road, although it was something very small I was in shock and unaware of what to do. I called Mr. Roberto in a panic, who went out of his way to help me. This man gave me advice, instructions and fixed all the damages. This is a business that cares for their clients. My experience with front desk requesting for a quote was very bad. I went there and requested quotes for 2 different brands of tyres. The front desk was talking to me but also attending phones in parallel. He scribbled few lines on paper and said that number was the quote. I waited patiently until he kept the phone down to ask questions. When i asked the question whether he can mount that specific tyre over in my old Rim, the front desk attendant for no reason asked me leave the store as he had said everything he needed to tell me. I GOT NO CLUE WHY HE FREAKED OUT but probably because of the phone call. I rated this place 1 star because freaks should not run front desks. I have never been treated this way in a store ever. I don't know about their tyre prices or their shop as i did not have the opportunity to try. read more

A month ago I bought a new set of tires and their price beat WalMart and their service was much better. The guys running the place, at the front desk are trustworthy and understand customer service. I took the car in to inspect a loud noise, they later called me saying it was a wheel bearing and it should be covered under warranty. I brought it to dealership and it was covered. That single act of honesty has made me a loyal customer. I would have happily paid for the repairs and had no idea it was covered. Thanks read more

They soaked me on a wheel hub ,, a $200-$300 hundred dollar part which I was charged over $700 for , they said at the moment that was the price and since I was standing in front of them that is what I wanted , not knowing the part was only around $200 , they didn't tell me it was way over marked or give me any other option,,, don't trust the Danforth store unless you don't mind paying 4 times the price on parts read more

My wife noticed a gas smell recently coming from the rear of her vehicle and decided to get it looked at from superior tire at the Danforth and Victiria Park location. Right away the mechanic quoted her $900 labour JUST to diagnose the problem. i then took the vehicle to another local mechanic shop and with total it cost me $325.67 all together to fix the problem. So the reasons i am posting this is WOMEN BEWARE because obviously Superior Tire's Vic Park & Danforth location must think women are very uneducated in the auto repair industry or unaware that the husband doesn't work in a similar type of career. i thought this type of shady business under a reputable name didn't exist anymore, but IT DOES!
