Hello - I just wanted to give a shout-out to Ralph C. for helping me get my car towed in Schaumburg. I got lucky that he was close and I didn't have to wait very long for him to show up, and even though I wasn't entirely sure what highway I was on, he knew where to find me. While towing me to Carmax, he was friendly and helpful in talking with me about what could be wrong with my car..(he was right in identifying needing a new alternator). Amazing service! My car was vandalized and all 4 tires were slashed and then wrongfully impounded by the city. I struggled to find a tow company willing to pick up my vehicle at the impound lot. Felipe was very nice and went out of his way to turn my situation around. He helped me get my car out of the impound lot and made sure my car was stored safely overnight then delivered the next day to the repair shop. He even made sure I made it home safely. Interstate pothole took out two tires and broke both wheels. It was a busy night for tow companies in the area. Insurance company sent Superior, and their driver James M. was there in 30 min. less time than the estimate. It's not the first time I've been towed by Superior, and honestly, I don't see how the service could be any better. They kept in constant contact with me (both driver and dispatch), James was very quick and professional, and he gave me a ride home after dropping the car at my mechanic's shop. My insurance co sent Superior Towing when I had tire almost blow up on me while driving on the 90 this weekend in the rain:( Never pleasant to ever be stranded & have car tow. The driver was very helpful as I told him to take me NTB. However since I told him, I would heading up north to elderly parents. He knew I would be going to much out of my way. So he look up on his gps to find a tire shop which wouldn't put me out of the way so I could get back on 90 also under 10 miles since that all my insurance covers. I was so grateful that he did this & didn't try to take advantage of my situation since I was very emotional & upset. I hope this never happens to me again on the 90 but if it does, I will make sure that they come & tow me since there honest business not trying to rip you off. read more

My review is based solely on visits to the impound lot (three of them--on the same day. Yeah), not on the towing services they provide. My car was towed by Superior after a crash in which I was taken to the hospital. The police at the accident scene told me that it wouldn't cost me anything to get my car from the impound lot and they assured me that someone was always at Superior. (The NLPD was wrong about both of those things). I had just been to the grocery store when I was hit. After I left the hospital, I called Superior to arrange for someone to get my groceries out of the car but they didn't answer. And with this unseasonable warmth, all of my groceries thawed. Boo. (This isn't Superior's fault, their hours are their hours, but the NLPD and Superior need to communicate and get their info straight). The next morning, I went to get my car during regular business hours, but the form the NLPD told me to bring to Superior was not the right one (I needed a pink sheet, not a green sheet. Oy) so Superior would not release my car to me. So I went home for the correct sheet from the police report, and when I came back I discovered I also needed $160 in cash to get my car back. Not only was this NOT what the NLPD said, but on my first attempt to pick up my car, did they not think it was necessary to tell me that? Instead of giving me useful information on that first visit, the employees lectured me, asked me personal questions, even asking for my insurance card which was of no concern to them, and gave me unsolicited advice about what I should do, what I should tell my insurance company, and basically talking down to me like I was an ignorant girl. So, finally, on my THIRD visit to Superior, I was able to get my car. The day after a car crash, I did not feel like running the same errand three times, nor did I feel like going to the bank to get $160 in cash. I really hope I never have to go there again. (The only reason they are getting two stars is because my mechanic checked out my car today and told me that there's no structural damage from the tow, and I've heard horror stories about cars being damaged more by the tow than by an accident). read more

My car wouldn't start today so we called Superior Towing to give us a tow to a local auto body shop...they said approximately 2 hours.... After waiting 4 hours and cancelled all my plans for the night, they never showed up. We kept receiving multiple text messages with "updates" on the wait time, saying that the tow was on the way and bragging about how their "goal is to provide excellent service" ....we decided to call to check the status and they CANCELLED the tow without even telling us. WE had to call THEM and they said they cancelled it due to job delays in the area. Didn't even notify us!!! Will never use their service again. read more

Unfortunately, I've managed to avail myself of Superior's services twice now in the last 6 months or so - each time they were dispatched by my insurance's roadside assistance. Both times they've been great - showed up promptly, took good care of the car, tied it down securely, and drove me to the dealer or where ever the car needed to go. The drivers are polite and friendly - I really can't complain about anything. I'm not sure who Stephanie L got, but she definitely hasn't had either of the drivers I've had. The alternator on my truck went out and I need a tow. I picked Superior Towing because they were located near by. The dispatcher on the phone estimated the truck would be there in 30 minutes. The driver arrived right on time. The driver was very polite, and efficient and definitely knew what he was doing. The inside of the tow truck was nice and cold (a plus after waiting in the hot sun) and the ride was pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

Got to Superior Towing via my auto insurance roadside assistance. Initially they told me 90 minutes, then called to notify me that it would be 30 to 45 minutes on top of that. Not cool. If you cannot fulfill the request in a reasonable amount of time, then you should have the professional courtesy to say so, and recommend another towing company. But that falls under the heading of customer service, and from what I've seen, many companies these days, including Superior apparently, don't give a damn about customer service. read more

I just witnessed one of the superior towing drivers in Edgewater on Broadway making a turn at cookies and Carnitas while screaming and harassing a woman in her car for being in his way. She was in a perfectly legal spot and not turning on red and because his truck was so huge and she was on the phone he decided it was his place to scream at her to get out of his way. It was so unprofessional and extremely disrespectful. No when she talk to anyone this way let alone a stranger or a woman. I had to call a tow service through our car insurance GEICO. Our car stalled and I was able to pull to a parking lot to park it there. I had to wait for about 1.5 hours and I'm glad we were close to a Starbucks where we waited. Barb told me that the tow driver, Brian, will call me when he's near for pick up. He did and it took about 10 minutes to load our car to the flatbed, he took pictures before and after loading it. I asked about this during the ride to the repair shop and he said that its a standard policy for his company. Appreciate the policy! It took about a 30 minute ride from Lombard to Hoffman Estates and Brian was easy to converse with. All in all, he took good care of loading and unloading our car, explaining how the payment will be handled (charged it to credit card which is convenient). Hopefully I don't need another tow, but if I do, I will not hesitate to use Superior Towing. Thank you! read more

We were stranded on 355 and our insurance company referred us to Superior. Our dispatcher was very polite and did get a truck out to us with 45 minutes. The driver, Joe T, was very efficient with getting our car ready and was very pleasant on our trip to our destination. Stan with truck 28 was awesome! He arrived and got right to business. I originally called him out for a jump, but ... we determined it wasn't my battery. He had no hesitations or hang ups with going ahead with the tow, even though the call wasn't initially for it. It was pouring rain, but Stan made it happen. Stan was great! Company handled my logistics promptly and efficiently. Stan took great care of me. I was particularly impressed with how effortless the entire job was for him. Well, accidents happen, and one happened to me. My poor car was in shambles and needed a lift. I called Geico, and they hooked me up with Superior Towing. It was going to be a 45 minute wait (mind you it was cold, at night, and I was alone), so I received a call saying that I didn't have to wait and that I could get a ride and go home if I wanted. So that's what I did. I called the next day to make sure everything went ok, and it did. They were able to give me the location of my car over the phone (promptly). When I got to my car later, everything was the way I had left it and nothing was tampered with. Great customer service, and trustworthy from my experience! read more

Stay away! My insurance company called in the dispatch at 1, I was told ETA was 215. At 230, I was called by my insurance company to see if they had arrived, they hadn't. I was told the driver would then be there between 245 and 3...they canceled the tow at 245. The next company my insurance company called was out in less than 20 minutes. Our insurance company has sent Superior Towing out to help us a couple of times. Everytime we have had good service. The last time Superior came out, before towing the car the driver tried jumping it. When that didn't work, he checked the fuses, then he pulled a bad fuse and moved another into its place. These people contract through All State in my area and twice in the last 3 years, they've been dispatched to tow my car after overheating issues made it impossible to drive. In my first encounter, what was supposed to be a 60 minute wait turned into a wait lasting nearly 5 hours. In my second encounter, they were supposed to arrive at 2:07, but upon being contacted by All State on my behalf, informed them they would be 30 minutes longer. After 45 minutes passed, All State contacted me again to inform me that they would be cancelling my tow, because the wait would be over 3 hours. One poor experience is an anomaly, two is a track record. read more
