He verbally quoted me $1,500 for an IKEA laminate counter kitchen installation. The cost of the IKEA laminate counter (3 pieces) was only $300. I felt the $1,500 was a bit high but I was having trouble finding someone to install laminate and Victor seemed knowledgeable regarding my project. The project should have taken a day, but Victor was extremely slow. He also let me know he now charges hourly. After day one, he was still setting up his equipment and adjusting my an ikea kitchen drawers which he claimed were off. Not much more done on day 2, day 3, finally started cutting counter tops. I asked him repeatedly where were were on price which he said he would let me know but did not. The evening before he did the actual install on my counter he sent me a text stating he was at $4,500. I was could not even believe this. I did not respond until the next day when he arrived. I had a conversation with him regarding the price he was now charging, he said he had to adjust some cabinets, I did not even pay that much to have my whole IKEA kitchen installed! I knew he was going to leave me is a mess, no counter, sink, etc. I told him to finish and when he was done, I tried to talk with him again about the original $1,500 estimate to now $4,500. He got very heated, so I gave him a check for the full amount which I so regret now but I was uncomfortable with his reaction and wanted him to leave my home. Please beware and don't make the same mistakes I did by hiring Victor who took total advantage of me and he knows it.

I called the number on the security system (sticker with their info) and switched the service over to my name. At that time talking to the IT guy, he was able to talk me through setting up 2 apps on my phone, ( 1 to monitor cameras, and 1 to arm or disarm) the system. I had lots of questions with the split screen monitor and the software. I was told that someone would/ could come out and show me how to is the software. Fast forward 10 months later, still don't know how to use the software, and the app to monitor cameras on my phone needed to be re-installed due to me getting a new phone. I called the main number and was given another number to call the IT guy. I called and explained my issue. He tells me there will be a $125 service call. I explained that it was done over the phone last time, and he said $125 service charge regardless of them coming out OR over the phone. I said not happening and I'll just cancel service. Then I get a call from one of the owners (I think) and he says "I understand my IT guy got ya mad) I said not mad, just disappointed he wanted to charge me $125 service fee to resolve my issue over the phone. The owner said, wait a minute, there's no fee for resolution over the phone. I said, that's what I was told. The owner said hold on I'll get back with you. I waited over a week to hear back.... Never received a call back, so I cancelled the service. Never did know how to use the software, couldn't monitor any cameras from my phone, there was no motion detection associated with the cameras so you don't get any alerts or notifications when someone is lurking around your house, but for $28/ month you'd get a call if someone broke in through an entry door.

The siding guys were finishing up when I paid the owner and asked that they caulk around some of the siding with big gaps. He said "no problem"... took the money and his guys were gone before he was out of our culdesac. No caulking. I also had informed him that I was having more work done and needed access to the back yard (tree removal and privacy fence). It took nearly a week for me to get them to take their pallet of unused materials from blocking the way to the back yard, and just hours before the tree guys were scheduled to show up. The moral of the story = roof ok, any thing else go another way.
