I said I just had to get through the light and we'd be there. I was told that, since 4:30 pm is the last appointment of the day and I was not there they'd have to re-schedule. I was admittedly annoyed. Fast forward, we arrived at the office at 4:34 and they confirmed he would not be seen. I had asked for his records when I was in the car if they were going to be that rigid...and they had his records ready. We won't be back.

Finally the Rockville office calls me back and said "oh we changed our hours, I called you on August 19 (a month ago) to let you know." I explain we were overseas then so I didn't get the message, but nonetheless that was a month ago and they haven't contacted me since then to make sure I got the message? And funny enough when I looked back at the text messages I even got one exactly on August 19 that says "thank you for scheduling your appointment Sept 20 at 9am..."

Patients and staff are squeezed into one area and I feel like I'm going to bump into someone or something expensive. They really max out the space. In some ways, it's a sign that they're busy but at the same time, it just lacks personal space. It's an issue when the child next to yours is crying because they're scared that causes your child to panic. It's also an issue because parents don't have much room to stay with their younger kids. The hygienist does most of the work and the dentist just pops in at the end to make sure everything is okay. Also, scheduling is such a hassle. My daughter needed to get her cavities filled and they didn't have any availability for about 4.5 months. We also were unsatisfied with their handling of insurance/billing.

In her unclear technical terms, she referred us to an orthodonist and sent us down a rabbit hole that resulted in days of lost time and ultimately, an overnight non-conclusive sleep study. When I followed-up with her on this, without reviewing any of the medical notes, she immediately referred us to another provider. I take all potentially complicated dental issues to another dental provider and just come here for regular, easy check-ups and cleanings which she is pretty good at and are covered by my insurance. Her location is really convenient.
