The company responded to my review and asked me to submit my reservation number and receipts of the $150 rebooking fee incurred because we arrived late and could not take our original flight. I submitted the documentation and they refunded the $150! I was pleasantly surprised! Although I can't move my rating to 5 stars, I will use them again as they took responsibility for the situation. I booked a private shuttle to and from Dulles recently. Going to Dulles, the driver showed up within the time window. Leaving Dulles, the mobile check-in process was easy, and my van was ready to go just a few minutes after I reached the pick-up location. The staff kept me updated on the status of my van (as did the mobile site). Both times, the van was spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the driver was friendly and professional. A private trip with SuperShuttle is cheaper for me than a taxi, plus the vans are more comfortable than most taxis. I will definitely be using them for future trips out of Dulles or BWI! read more

We used this company to get from the airport to our hotel, although we didn't have to wait as long as some people did, it was still a decent wait time. The driver was on his phone for most of the road, as well as taking all these crazy turns and jerky stops, the driving was utterly horrendous. The employees were fairly nice, but not the friendly enough to upgrade their rating to a 2, I personally wish we could rate 0. Although I can't add this into the review, we couldn't understand a word the driver was saying. read more

I have not been on Super Shuttle in a while and I was very pleasantly surprised. I booked online for a shuttle home from the Dulles airport with my phone less than 24 hours from pickup time. Fee was quite reasonable. Having the online check-in once I arrived was a breeze, and provided me with precision directions to find my driver. Driver was pleasant and safe, and very patient with a passenger who changed his dropoff location mid-way. (the rest of us were not so patient!). Even being the last stop out of 5, I don't think I arrived home more than 15 minutes later than I would have had I drove. And Uber was going to be more than twice the price! I honestly don't know what isn't to like - great experience all around! read more

I was just recently on a four-day vacation in Washington D.C. Upon my arrival, I booked transportation to my hotel with SuperShuttle and arrived in good time with no problems. Departure, however, was a far far different story. The day before my return flight, I had called in and reserved SuperShuttle transportation to the Reagan National Airport at 3:30 a.m. since my flight would be leaving at 6:10 a.m., and I wanted to allow plenty of time. The next morning, however, I wound up standing outside my hotel for TWO FULL HOURS after the shuttle was supposed to arrive. I called in to the desk several times trying to find out where the driver was. Each time, the answer was to the effect of "He'll be there in ten minutes." Ten minutes later, I would call again to receive the same answer ad infinitum. Finally, around 5:30 a.m., I canceled my reservation and called a cab. I wound up being literally the last person to board my flight and with only five minutes to spare. I am never EVER doing business with these people again. I don't understand the bad reviews, It may just be pot luck, or it may be that people only review when they have something bad to say? But, we were very satisfied when booked and used supershuttle. It was affordable and reliable. We had to wait maybe 10-15 minutes for the shuttle before we could leave the airport, but we knew this already. The journey back to the airport was great - on time, had to stop to pick a few people up, but we had plenty of time to catch our flight. Highly recommended! read more

Standard service when travelling from the airport. About a 20 minute wait for a shuttle when we got there - not ideal but it was shared so kind of understandable. Absolutely shocking service when travelling to the Airport. Was left standing in the hotel waiting for 2 hours for shuttle that almost made us miss the flight at Dulles. Checked in 5 mins late but the kind woman let us through and just made our flight. Phoned up to complain and get a cheeky woman who simply enters the complaint/refund request into a system while they no doubt take weeks to get back to you! Perfect...... Definitely lost my business and would highly recommend spending the extra on a cab if you can or getting public transport. I know that's what I will be doing! Having ordered the service, I received an e-mail saying "no further action require". Upon arrival I exited the airport and found the Supershuttle stop. I have waited for one hour at 35C heat for the driver to tell me that he won't take me because I was not checked in. I had to go back to the airport with two heavy cases and a child to check in. Having checked in I returned to the same driver who had only one passenger to Georgetown where I needed to go too to her that he won't take me because I was not assigned to his bus. On the heat I had to wait for 20 more minutes for another bus that was overcrowded. The worst transport service I ever had. read more

I booked a ride to DCA for pickup no later than 6:25am. Driver did not arrive until 6:43, and had two more pickups. I arrived just as my flight was boarding--thankfully I had TSA PreCheck and was not checking a bag, or I would not have made it. This service has seriously deteriorated in the past year. I think they try to schedule too many pickups on a single trip. Service from airport home never work in a timely manner. I will never take Super Shuttle again. read more

My ride from Dulles to Rockville took 4 1/2 hours. I left Dulles at 4:00 in the morning so rush hour traffic was not the issue. The driver had many stops to make at widely dispersed locations. NEVER NEVER again!! I prepaid for roundtrip Supershuttle vouchers (Reagan/DC airport) on a travel site. The confirmation said to get luggage and then check-in at the counter, which was not in the location described. My husband had a cane, and it was a hassle to backtrack to the new location. Curbside employee #1 said it'd be ~ 40 min. and to wait inside and that they would text or call. After 35 min. we went back to the curb to wait there due to the slow hobbling. We waited another 30 min, checking in occasionally and being told that 'dispatch' didn't have us on a shuttle yet. Asking again, I was told by curbside employee #2 that we were "supposed" to be on the full minivan parked a the curb, but employees #1 and 3 were checking with dispatch why others had our seats. The driver was trying to get clear info. The curbside employees were just as confused and VERY frustrated in their comments about the dispatch's constant random changes. Just then, Employee #2 looked at her tablet and said, "oh, dispatch just removed you from that van". I had to ask WHEN we would be going to the city and was told it might be another 10-15 min, but that depended on if dispatch scheduled us on the next one. Meanwhile, with no seating at the curb my husband was struggling with the bad leg. I told the group of employees we were done, and to cancel and we left to catch a taxi. SuperShuttle stinks. More than a month ago, I prepared a round trip from home to IAD. At the pick up time the driver said he wasn't able to come and asked me to SuperShuttle Office and ask for other arrangements. After close to two hours and seven phone calls and there was no pickup. My last phone call to the office/dispatcher that I will be late and miss my flight. I called a taxicab. I submitted my claim online twice and still have not heard from Supershuttle. My advice is DO NOT use SuperShuttle. read more

They arrived a few minutes early and took me to the airport right away! We were scheduled for pickup at DCA on November 4 @ 545pm. When we arrived, we followed the instructions using the "self check in" option (which by the way gave us wrong instructions for finding the on-site personnel) only to be told that my party which included my 70 year old mother would have to wait another 20-25 minutes for pickup. What's the sense of having a designated time if it's not going to be adhered to by your company? That unfortunately was the least of my issues on our return trip. When the driver finally showed up (VAN # 1030) he proceeds to let the on-site employee that he WOULD NOT take us to our destination because we paid for a direct trip with no other passengers or drop offs. When I heard the context of their conversation I asked what the issue was and was told by the driver that "Super Shuttle is offering a service that the drivers did not agree with and that he was an independent contractor who has the right to refuse service". I asked what his problem with what the company offered (AND WE PAID FOR) had to do with my party being dropped off we were told "nothing" and the driver WALKED AWAY leaving us standing there at the pick up area! As I mentioned, I had my mother and wife waiting with me and your driver spoke to us very arrogantly and was willing to leave two women stranded at the airport all because he was unhappy with the service that the company HE WORKS FOR offered. That not only speaks to the caliber of driver your company hires but also to the character of men in your employ as well. I am in total disgust with Super Shuttle and will be demanding a refund for the services NOT rendered and will assuredly NEVER use your company's services again. one star only because i can't get it zero. the short story is: i had a scheduled pick-up for 11:45 to catch an international flight from IAD. by 12:45 when there was no shuttle, i sucked it up and took an uber; totally worth it. the longer story is that a little after noon i received a call asking if i was on the shuttle; when i said no, the woman said she could call the drive and call me back with an ETA. she never called back, and calls to her number were not answered. shortly after, i received a message saying my bus would arrive in 12 minutes. 25 minutes later, still no shuttle. i called the main number and after waiting on hold for 8 minutes, was told my shuttle was one mile away and would be to my house in 5 minutes. 10 minutes later, i called again and was told the same thing. i couldnt wait any longer so i called uber. totally worth it. read more

Unbelievable. Instead of renting a car to get me & my 2 kids home from BWI, decided to save myself the hassle, har-de-har, of having to return the rental, and use Super Shuttle instead (had used them once long ago without too much trouble). So "reserved" 3 spots at 10:30 p.m. at BWI. After a very long day of flying hassles magnified by having two children in tow, we're told there'll be a 45 minute wait for a van; 10-15 minutes later, guy admits that he has no idea how long we will be waiting--he doesn't have ANY vans available, could be SEVERAL HOURS before we'll be able to pack into a van with many other irate people for a long, long trip that might get my kids home at, what?, 3 a.m.?, and would cost $65. So we took a cab from BWI to DC, $110. Ouch. But at "only" $45 more than Super Shuttle would have cost anyway, it was a bargain in comparison. I will never ever ever use them again. read more

I flew in to Dulles from SFO. Never been to Washington DC before. Yelp reviews for Super Shuttle were very negative. I didn't want to use SS (because of Yelp) but taxis were too expensive. So I went up to the counter and told them where I wanted to go. The counter people were very professional and I was on a shuttle in no time. The driver was using GPS and did a good job getting all of us to our various destinations. Four days later it was time for me to go back to Dulles to catch my flight home. I called SS and asked how soon they could pick me up. They said between 3:15 and 3:30pm, which was two hours away. I said ok. At 3:10 I went outside to wait and at 3:15 SS arrived. The driver hopped out, big smile, welcomed me and stowed my bags. There were other people on the shuttle and it got a bit chatty for awhile. The driver did talk to us but he was doing a great job at driving. When we got to the airport the driver unloaded our bags and was super sweet. I will use SS again if I need a shuttle service. read more

On January 09, 2015 my daughter boarded a super shuttle at Washington DC, Regan airport at approximately 7:20pm. At that time she handed off her two items of luggage a small duffle bag and a large roller to the driver. The drive made approximately 6-7 stops before arriving at her destination . At this time my daughter discovered her large roller bag was no longer on board. The group of events that occurred next was absolutely outrageous and unbelievable. * The drive advised my daughter he did not know when or where her bag was removed and further stated he was not responsible if another patron mistakenly retrieved the incorrect bag. * The driver iniately indicted he could not do anything and only with my hysterical daughter insistent did he attempt to contact a previous patron who he believed may have retrieve the bag. During this time the driver was yelling and indicated it was not his fault bag was missing. * I spoke directly with the driver who was very rude, combative, and dismissive indicating it was my daughter's responsibility to identify her luggage. * My daughter flagged down a local Washington DC police officer who was stationed outside her building at that particular time to determine if he could intervene and assist with resolution. At this time I contacted your 800 number from California and spoke with agent who listened to my concerns. I was placed on hold for 17 minutes and when agent returned to the call advised would open of ticket for issue and his dispatch was on the phone with the driver attempting to determine if another passenger retrieved the bag. I requested to speak with a supervisor based on the response I received indicating someone would contact me back. I was transferred to supervisor Carrie F who informed me of the following information. Dispatch has contacted customers who were available and each one indicated did not have the bag. And because law enforcement was involved and a ticket or claim was open she had done all she was able to do. During our conversation Carrie was very rude and condescending to me as a customer with a serious issue regarding your corporation. She showed absolutely no empathy for the situation and offered no resolution. The phrases that were repeated during the call lacked professionalism and showed poor customer service skills. And I quote "Are you finished yet", "Can I talk now" and "There is not anything else I can do for you". Carrie advised me that each shuttle drive is an independent contractor and there is no set policy of procedure for lost of missing bags during transit to a passenger's destination. I find it hard to believe that drivers are acting under the umbrella of Super Shuttle and no one is held responsible when mistakes occur. To continue with the frustration that my daughter was experiencing during this call your driver had left the premises with no further explanation. The police officer proceeded to take my daughter to the other passengers' last drop off point to confirm in person if she had retrieved the bag in question. The passenger advised when she departed the shuttle she had a similar bag to my daughter but much smaller size and when the drive attempted to provide her with the wrong bag she let him know which bag was hers. At this time the drive apparently removed my daughters much larger bag in order to retrieve the other bag. What transpired next was the shuttle driver left my daughter's bag on the curb and proceeded to leave for his next drop off destination. This was only discovered when my daughter and the police officer where exiting the building from another vantage point and discovered the bag sitting on the curb. Her bag had been left there for now what would be over 2 hours. Although her bag was located the experience from the beginning of the incident was handled poorly, from the driver to the staff at your customer service department. My family has utilized your service for many years and up to now has had no complaints. This blatant disregard to your customers' issues and concerns has forever changed our decision to continue to use your service in the further. I will make sure my community is aware of the situation and ordeal that we experienced via social media outlets and beyond. . Customer service is a lost art that society no longer holds to a high standard and honors quantity over quality. I do not often take the time or energy to respond to concerns regarding the level of service provided by a company; however in this instance I felt it necessary to provide my feedback. The lack of empathy and inability to provide a resolution will forever resonate when I come across Super Shuttle going forward. I am now a very disappointed customer and 1 star is too much but there is no option for 0 stars. read more

1 Star is too genorous... SuperShuttl DC has an unbelievably horrible customer service! Driver arrived 15 minutes earlier than the confirmed timeframe & called to let me know he's waiting. When I told him I'll be out in a few minutes (exactly at the time he should've arrived), he got so angry & started yelling. I told him that I had just hung up with SuperShuttle & they assured me he'll be waiting until it was the agreed upon/confirmed time, he started yelling even crazier & threatened that he will leave if I'm not out in 1 minute! AND HE LEFT!!! To add insult to injury, I called SuperShuttle again to sort things out, they didn't send any other driver & did not in anyway apologize for that driver's behavior. In fact, they called him & then told me the driver is saying he was angry after I started swearing at him. Gladly, these calls should be recorded, so I'm going to pursue this further until I get a full refund & a decent apology. This is the second time this happens. First, I walked up to a super shuttle stand at Washington National Airport and asked to make a reservation. I was told to call or go online. After making my reservation over the phone, and by way, the phone rep was sighing and breathing heavily, like she didn't want to take a call, I walked to the check in stand and asked if this the location is the proper location to check into, because the phone operator asked me to make sure I was in the right terminal. A guy standing there sent me to the other end of the terminal, knowing full well I was exactly where I needed to be. I came back and asked him did he think it was funny to send customers in the wrong direction, he thought so. After a brief altercation and speaking with a manager on site, who also was carefree with my complaint, shows there is a problem from the bottom to the top. Another employee just sat there without addressing me, as she was the one to check in customers and could of as well, mention that I was at the right location after overhearing the conversation, rude and tacky. This being said, the front staff was at the least unprofessional and should not be working at the receiving end/point of contact for the company. Who needs this aggravation after being on a long flight. Second, we were the last stop after making 3 drop offs prior to getting to our destination. It took us 2 hours to get home, in which the driver was on the phone the entire time during the last hour of the drive. Maybe the driver would have gotten some of us home sooner if he wasn't on the phone. I have taken super shuttle before and there have been drivers who were great, just not today, but I have always come across rude and unprofessional phone reps and front desk person(s), I just had to finally say something about it. read more

Arrived at REAGAN DCA airport after a great vacation on 04 Nov 2018 at approx. 6 pm with my son and daughter in law. The anticipated Supershuttle service was a previously scheduled appointment to take us to our intended destination, Springfield, VA. Instructions provided on the Supershuttle app was followed explicitly. Well...the pickup location in the airport was not accurate, once found we had to wait with luggage I will add, an additional 25 min for the van to arrive...the most deplorable experience followed. The driver of the number 1030 van informed (us)the customers that he was independant and can choose if he would take the scheduled fare...I must reiterate that the trip was scheduled and paid for in advance...really??? Clearly he, the driver of the number 1030 van is not a professional driver, and lacks customer service training. I additionally question if the driver represents the caliber of Supershuttle drivers? Kudos to the young man (Supershuttle employee who was stationed at the airport) with how he tried to apologize for the driver's behavior (who was older than the young man) as well as being subjected to the demonstrated unprofessional behavior of the driver of the number 1030 van as well. Supershuttle you can do better. I will not recommend the service Supershuttle offers, due to unreliability,and poor customer service. Not a reliable service to provide anywhere, especially in our Nations capital. And you own us money because we had to take a taxi!!! read more

I had good experiences in the past, but this one pushed it over the edge. I got a call at 3am letting me know that my 4am pickup was canceled due to weather. This was after I received an automated confirmation the day before letting me know that my pickup was going to be on time. I understand that weather can be a factor, but at least abide by your own cancellation policy and give 4+ hours prior notice. Go with another shuttle! read more

Do not ever book this service. We booked a shuttle two weeks in advance from Dulles to our home. When we arrived at the airport at five in the morning, we were informed by the bizarrely flustered agent that there were no shuttles available. Then she changed her mind and said there was one (a shared van, even though we'd booked a private van). When we went to the curb, the shuttle driver didn't let us on because he wasn't going to where we lived. We went back inside to the ticket agent, who informed us that I couldn't cancel and get a refund, because she'd already accidentally cancelled my trip, and I'd have to call the 1 800 number to get a refund. I think the agents name started with A? She got more and more flustered (even though I was calm and polite) and was completely unable to explain what I needed to do and why she'd cancelled my reservation. Finally she told me she wasn't going to die on this mountain (whatever that means???), wrote down the 1 800 number, and refused to help anymore. Luckily the lady I talked to on the phone gave me a prompt refund. But now we're an hour late getting home. This was an unbelievably incompetent experience in every way. If you want reliable transport, do NOT get SuperShuttle. read more

When I asked to confirm if the shuttle will be there right at the schedule time, the operator replied "If they weren't coming at that time, why would I tell you that?" Booked this for my mother in law. She was picked up and wasn't helped with her bags. She is older so she can't pick her bags up like that. She was takin to the airport and just dropped off. No goodbye or help. When she came back her flight was at 1145pm and their website says and took my money that they will pick her up and I found out the day she got to the airport that they close at 10pm. I use supershuttle in San Diego but my experience here at Reagan International was horrible. I booked the day before and prepaid. The southwest flight was delayed half an hour but got a text message to web checkin so once i got my baggage i completed the checking instructions had me go out to the terminal and wait at the pickup area. Once i got there there was several vans just siting there waiting a driver came up and helped me said that the online checkin does not work well they dont know if we are really ready and many shuttles leave since they been waiting too long. He called dispatch gave them my booking # and said they will assign me a van. So 10 minutes later i get a text saying my van was assigned to 1031 so i wait another 15 minutes and van 1031 comes along but the driver tells me there is a mistake he is not going south but north he told dispatch to re assign me and he leaves. I wait another 20 minutes no notification so i call the 800 super shuttle # get the operator they can not do anything so they transfer me to dispatch where i sit in limbo for 10 more minutes then get disconnected. I walk over to another super shuttle van and that driver tries to call dispatch and can not get any thing he tells me to walk back over to the terminal see the checkin person so i drag my bags back to the terminal and speak to the checkin lady she said no my van is 1031 just go back outside he will be just coming back. So i walk out again and see van 1031 and told the driver the checkin lady said this is my van. The driver still says no i am not going in your direction and calls dispatch and tells them its wrong. He then tells me to go back into the terminal and have them reassign me a new van. So i walk back inside and talk to the checkin they tell me the are short on vans so they are looking for one to assign me so wait over there. After 5 minutes of more waiting is said screw this called a friend to pick me up and walked over to the counter to cancel my booking. Wasting an hour and half and never got a shuttle. I like supershuttle in san diego but never in dc from this experience I formally submitted a complaint on the super shuttle website looks like supershuttle did not credit my credit card so asking for a refund. read more
