Here's a copy and paste of the email I sent after a day from hell with these guys. And his…read moreresponse: DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. You'll be lied to, they'll be late and you won't get what is promised. And you'll receive calls from various numbers, different information, different email addresses... See below for my experience, and 'Kevin's' offer to remove the glass as a solution... My car was not the Honda Civic - 2010 Matrix XR. First off, I was quoted $370. I made it clear on the phone that I have a Toyota Matrix XR - which indeed has factory tinted windows, and I was reassured that that would be what I would get. That is not what I got, and by the time I noticed that it was not, it was too late, the window was installed. I would've sent the guys away had I noticed. Second, I called throughout the day after the initial order placement, a total of FOURTEEN TIMES, to try to confirm the window I was receiving, and to get further information about time of arrival and payment process. I left a message, I texted and did not receive a response - AT ALL. --And now that you need money you are communicating with me from all different angles, texts from different numbers, emails from different emails. I've received two messages saying that I should e-transfer money, except the email addresses provided do not match - this is dodgy. Regarding the actual work, I received one call from your guys saying they would be a half an hour - they were then 1.5 hours LATE. When I began to politely ask questions during that call - they hung up on me, and then didn't pick up their phone after I called back SEVEN TIMES. (I have call logs to prove all of the above.) And when they did arrive, I had to provide materials for them to do the job, an extension cord, which would be no big deal, but given everything... I still have glass in my car, when I was promised a clean up, and they left glass all over the driveway, which again I was promised would be taken care of. And now I've received an inaccurate invoice: On top of it all it turns out that insurance is not going to cover this because you are not a recognized - whatever that means - company, so this is now out of pocket for me. Besides the guys being friendly enough, I'm not sorry to say that this was exceptionally poor service, and a horrible experience, and I'm left with a window that doesn't match my car after a promise that it would. Not only did I have to deal with the violation of being vandalized at my own home, but I had to deal with all of the above. Next, I need the invoice to accurately reflect not only the right vehicle, but also one that takes into account the experience above. Now from Kevin: "Hi If you're not happy with the glass installer will come and remove the glass today When you called office is Closed." I made the order over the phone, how was it not picked up. I received texts from the same number I called. Anyway, good luck with your experience.

As per a typical drive on the 407, I got a big chip in my windshield. With that said, Auto Glass Canada (77 City Centre Drive location in Mississauga) was my last try at repairing my windshield and I was so happy to hear they would fix the same day, they would come to me and they would be at my place within the hour. What great service and the price can not be better. The gentleman who came to repair my windshield was friendly, quick and explained all the steps he was going through to help me.......I recommend this company and service. A short while ago I had something hit my windshield and I didn't even know I had a chip in my…read morewindshield until somebody riding on the passenger side noticed it and told me. It was something I didn't notice being it's not in my view from the driver's side but nevertheless these are one of those things if ignored can be an issue that becomes more expensive if later I'd have to replace a windshield if/when this turned into an unrepairable crack. So using the "stitch in time" logic I thought it's better to fix this chip rather than let it go and let it get worse. In looking around for a place near where I was going to go (Costco) I found Speedy Glass right at the intersection of Dundas and Dixie (north west corner). I read online to see what was needed and ended up making an online appointment for 2pm. I went to Costco and ended up driving the Blundel way to Dixie past the WalMart and GO so I could make a right at Dixie and then a left onto Dundas and a quick right into the mall. I didn't immediately see the place although the posted signage said it's in this strip mall. Facing Dundas there's an auto service place on the left and a Thrifty car rental on the right. I drove through the mini alley where the dumpster is to the other side looking for it and it's on the right basically the back of the Thrifty rental, same building but facing away from Dundas, north while their street entrance is southbound on Dixie to the right. The place had 3 bays but it didn't seem there was anybody getting service done. I entered the office and an employee came in and asked if I needed help. I mentioned that I was a bit early although I did have an appointment for 2pm. He said he could take me right away as he was idle. I showed him the damage and he said that it would take half an hour. His name was Adam and he did mention a few key points: -if I decided to go through insurance I'd pay no deductible but it would count as a comprehensive claim. I ended up deciding to just pay for it myself. -there's a possibility that the windshield could become more damaged and end up having to be replaced. That's sort of a risk you take I suppose but he did mention out of over 750 he's ever done it's happened 3 times. That's basically less than 1 out of 250. -the repair won't make the chip disappear and it will still be visible but rather it will prevent it from getting worse. The chip was on the passenger side so as far as obstructing my vision it wasn't an issue. Basically I'm looking to mitigate the chip turning into a crack and then having to replace the windshield outright. This would help that. When Adam was done he came back into the office and mentioned to me, "do I want the good news or bad news...?". I said, "there's bad news?". Adam said the bad news was the repair was successful and he wouldn't be selling me a new windshield today. The repair was 118 dollars after tax and included a guarantee for work as well as if the repair didn't take and the windshield ended up cracking (in that spot) that the already paid cost of the repair could be applied to the cost of a replacement. If you drive enough, you're bound to get a chip or a crack in your windshield from just plain bad luck. It happens and it's really something you can't necessarily prevent but it's good to know if you need repair or replacement that places like Speedy are around to help. The repair was fast and Adam was a reasonable and friendly guy. They also sell a variety of windshield wipers as well as they are vendors of the Weather Tech car mats. I already own the car mats as the store for Weather Tech is just down the street from my work but if you're looking for precision car mats they are great.
