I've had them help me move with my own truck as well as with their company trucks and every time they move my items with care and have very reasonable prices for the services provided. On my last move, there was a scheduling error by the company in regards to the time the movers would arrive.... Since it was the same day, but just a different time slot it was no big deal (my total move was a small 2 hour job). Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control the movers ended up sitting in traffic for an extra 50 minutes because of an accident on the freeway. I mentioned it to the movers and they got the time adjustment/price difference approved by the manager, because they agreed it wouldn't be fair or right for them to charge me extra for time spent sitting in traffic when my original "move time" was scheduled for way earlier to avoid rush hour traffic. I'm so glad I called. They accommodated our short notice request. They were right on time. They were fast, but at the same time, took good care with our stuff. Given what they accomplished in a short period of time, they were a total bargain. (They unloaded our 16-foot POD and 10-foot truck in less than 3 hours.) We originally found PNW movers through U-Haul's moving help. We were moving across the country and…read moreinitially hired them to help load a few of our heavier things on to a truck. They seemed professional and kind so when we needed more help a few days later we called them directly and were happy they had the time to help us again. As it turns out, we wish we hadn't. Ignacio and Co. claim to be long distance moving experts however the way they packed our moving truck proved otherwise. A significant portion of our belongings had damage and some things (like a television, a solid wood dresser set, and expensive art supplies) are essentially ruined due to the poor packing decisions they made. One example of the problem is that a soft bag of clothing was used as the base for a stack of heavy boxes that was 10 feet high. It seems like moving "experts" should know better than that and, if these folks don't know that is a foolish way to pack, maybe they should make different career choices. After unpacking and realizing how much damage was done, we contacted the owner of PNW Movers, Ignacio, directly to give him a chance to partially remedy the problem. We offered to accept a partial refund for a full release of our legitimate claims (worth far more than the full cost of paid for services - and we sought only partial refund). He agreed, in writing, to pay us back in installments for a small portion of the damage caused. When he explained that he was not insured and didn't have the money to pay a few hundred dollars immediately, we accepted his requested schedule of 3 payments of about $100 each over several months in exchange for a full release. As we approach the day of what should be the third and final payment he has yet to make any payments and has stopped answering our phone calls and texts. This is not acceptable. Hiring movers can be a big choice. Honesty and integrity are necessary characteristics when people trust you with ALL of their possessions. Unfortunately this company has proven they lack both.
