Bad service good products. Good location. Poor customer service. Only go if you need something or for a quick stop.

Would I recommend a drink tasting class at Total Wines? Yes…read more Would I recommend a certain local? Absolutely!! 2617 W Holcombe Blvd Houston, TX 77025 Would I recommend an instructor? Most definitely!! Mr. Illick (I hope my spelling is correct) I absolutely love love love going to the Total Wine tasting classes! They're packed with history, food pairings, cocktail making ideas, and so much information. I've discovered new brands, learned things I never knew, and even met some great people. One of the best parts is getting to sample everything from budget friendly bottles to high end selections without breaking the bank. I first stumbled across these classes while shopping at Total Wines for a sweet wine. I had no idea they offered them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable they were. Since then, I've attended eight classes, and I've genuinely enjoyed every one. My favorite has been the Champagne class, and my favorite instructor is Illick he always does an amazing job making the classes both educational and fun. These classes are perfect for date nights, solo outings, girls' nights, coworker outings, or even a fun get together with friends and family. Every class includes a spread of sandwiches, fruit, crackers, cheese, cookies, and bottled water. They have from $20-$40 or free (depending on the class), you get all of those snacks plus 7-8 tastings. For me that's a great value! As an added bonus, they also give you 10% off your purchase after the class. So if you're looking for something fun, different, and budget-friendly to do, I highly recommend downloading the Total Wine app and checking out their tasting classes. You might just find your new favorite wine and a new favorite hobby!

The store looks like most Total Wine locations in the Houston area. The wine tasting bar was NOT open as the hours said it should be open. Pedro in bourbon was very nice and helpful. Most of the employees at this location were friendly. Please open your wine tasting bars when the hours say they are open.

Whether you're new to cigars or have a favorite blend dialed in, there's plenty to explore. The lounge itself is comfortable and inviting. Good seating, plenty of space, and the kind of atmosphere where it's easy to lose track of time. The staff was welcoming without hovering and happy to answer questions or make recommendations. One thing I always appreciate as someone who's been sober for years is that I never felt out of place ordering a nonalcoholic drink while enjoying a cigar. A great cigar lounge isn't just about what's in your glass, it's about slowing down, having a conversation, and enjoying the moment. Casa de Montecristo gets that. I'll absolutely be back the next time work brings me through Houston.

It is across from the Galleria. Randy is the manager and he and his guys will help you make any selections and are extremely knowledgeable about cigars. The walk-in humidor is large, and has a great selection. There is often times live music in the form of a DJ and they have different events that feature certain cigars and drinks and foods that complement the sticks. Or at least give you something to snack on and drink on while you are tasting and enjoying the cigars. You can call the shop or maybe find the information on their website for those events. And there is a VIP room that is open 24 hours a day for members that have lockers where you can keep some things there. They have a few cold drinks, selections, like sodas, and waters near the register. But you can bring your own drinks and you can bring your own food in as well. There is not a bar so it's also BYOB. If you're near the Galleria, I would highly recommend this Location. I believe they have a few others in the Houston area as well.
