This electric company installed an electric charger at my house. They rescheduled few times due to different issues. Well that can happen. Install itself was nothing to write home about. Previously installed minisplit system and electric outlets (different companies) went through soffit, this company didn't bother and just ran on the exterior. Even that was ok with me. Drilling through concrete was attempted 3 times and left 2 holes. Well, I can take care of that myself. The electric charger for the new car was supposed to be 19kw, it charges merely 9kw because the circuit wasn't strong enough. A 60 Amp was installed instead of the required 100Amp. Upon me requesting an answer why that was done I was presented with a load calculation, which was just on the maximum for my house. It's a small house with a new 200 Amp services. Being suspicious I went to the township and asked for the supplied load calculation by this company, sure enough it didn't match what they sent me. The townships ( signed by a Rep of Sure electric) had a load calculation of 110 Amp instead of the 160 they sent me. Unethical practices? Fraud or just incompetence? Sure electric was on the recommended list for the installation of the Tesla HPWC. After speaking with Matt Erdman and receiving a quote I decided to use Sure electric. They arrived promptly, were very professional, and did an excellent job running approx 150 ft of #2 aluminum 4 conductor cable from my basement 200 amp panel to a 100 amp sub panel in my garage, installing the 100 amp breakers in my basement panel and the 60 amp breakers in the garage sub panel and installing the Tesla HPWC. The local electrical inspector commented of the excellent work as he pasted the approval sticker. They promptly submitted the required PSE&G load data form and I've already received my $1500 PSE&G rebate while still waiting for the delivery of my Tesla. read more

Just Purchased a Tesla Y and needed a The Tesla Charger installed. I went to multiple electrians and was quoted Upwards of 1200 to install the charger. I checked Tesla website and they provided me with the link to their website. I filled out the application and provide he requested photographs and Had a quote in 48 hours. Since their quote was half the price of the highest quote I called and asked a few questions and building permit and decide to setup an appointment to get the work done. I had an appointment for monday morning. I recieved a call a 9:00 and was told he would be there in 15 mins. The technician who arrived was named Johnny. e was polite, Professional and he did the install quickly. The work was excellent and he even vacuumed the garage when he was done. In preparation for our Tesla we upgraded our electric box and installed a Tesla wall adapter. The installation was great and all is well with the charging. We got a permit and all inspection passed. The price was good and I liked how he came to the site and provided us an estimate after looking at it vs over the phone or with pictures. Short version: Needed a Tesla charger installed on a maxed-out home panel, long ways away from the basement to the outside. Honest and to the point, pricing was great, timing and efficiency were incredible and the job was well done. Sure Electric crew went above and beyond their service, and I highly recommend them. Longer version: I recently hired Sure Electric to do a Tesla wall charger/connector install for the garage. I got in contact with Andrew from their office and he gave me a set time frame the next day to get the estimate. 12 noon was the estimated time, and sure enough, one of their trucks pulled in at 11:59 am which is a big plus on my book. For me, time is more valuable than money and having someone get there when they said they would is a godsend in this day and age. John was the electrician who greeted me and went around the home and to the basement where the panel was. He even got down the crawl space and got himself dirty first thing, and let me know all the possible routes he'd have to do to get the charger installed. My panel was also already maxed out being that the house built in the 50's so they had to run a new sub-panel to accommodate the charger (the main panel didn't allow for the double breakers). I was also initially set on having the charger inside the garage, but John gave me his thoughts to have the charger mounted outside which will then save a significant amount of time, money, and headache in the long run, which I ended up opting for. After the initial inspection estimate, I received an email from Andrew within the hour to give me the quote and it was less than what my other friends had to pay for with their install. I guess there are many companies who will give you the extra charge because, hey, you own a Tesla and you can afford it, much like the Apple tax. :/ . We went ahead and scheduled the install for Wednesday at 8am and John arrived and began working on it as scheduled. It was raining and sleeting that day but John managed to get everything outside a few minutes before the hard rain and got to working inside promptly. Talk about good time management and efficiency. I saw how meticulous the wires were being laid out as I snooped in every now and then out of curiosity. It took a few hours to complete the job and another one of his colleagues arrived on-site to help with the install. When it was done, they were able to test everything out that I'm a happy camper as I am now able to charge and wake up to full battery every morning with 44/mph charge and not need to charge at a station every other day (used to get 5mph charge with the supplied mobile connector). They left my basement cleaner than when they came in, to which I think I should have probably have paid them for the cleaning service. Nevertheless, I am overall very pleased with their service and honesty while they guided me on the process. Town permits were pulled despite other electricians telling me it was not necessary (which I found shady), but I'd like to keep the peace of mind that everything was done right by the qualified electricians and I will definitely vouch for them for all other future installs. Had to have my Electrical Vehicle Charger replaced due to a faulty wifi issue. Sure installed the original one and I called them to do the replacement.
