    The double burger.
    Nijo H.

I ordered the double with fries. My partner had a single. Our visit was dinner time on August 22, 2026. Know this: After you place your order, you will wait a VERY long time for your food. And I mean longer that if you were at a fine dining restaurant. It's almost Twilight Zone weird how long we had to wait for two burgers. We waited 45 minutes and we checked on our order twice. I was blamed by the guy I asked about our order for not checking in with them and I was told it was MY FAULT for not asking. We asked twice. "Sometimes printers don't print" I was told as an excuse as to why the kitchen didn't get our order. He was rude and implied our wait was our fault. And know this: The acoustics are horrible. It's basically a concrete box with nothing to baffle the sound. So, they have music playing and you can pick up the bass of what's playing, but mostly you hear conversations and screaming children. If that's what you like, then enjoy. They have a good white wine, which was a pleasant surprise. Will we go back? Never. Not a pleasant experience overall. The only good thing about our visit was leaving. Oh, and the burgers? Okay. Nothing to write home about. I think to anyone who has never had a great burger, this place is probably the bees knees. Greasy. They taste okay. To anyone who has lived in NYC or LA, these are mediocre.

We had not been back since they moved to a brick and mortar. The burger and fries were as good as we remembered. The place was pretty full but the service was quick. Nice outdoor patio to eat on and watch the world go by.

Delicious burgers, fries and nuggets. Good service and tasty food. I loved the regular burger and my sister and niece said the impossible patty was great. Nice that you can do your order online and just come in pick it up and eat there or elsewhere. Looking forward to the next move into the brink and mortar next to the cart.

I love a good smash burger and Sure Shot knows how to do them right! My vegetarian impossible burger was crisp around the edges and the toppings perfectly complimented it. The fries were also crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. I loved that neither were overly greasy. We ordered take away online, which was convenient. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the prices were great. I would highly recommend this place!

As a big fan of smash burgers Sure Shot has been on my list for awhile, they were top of mind the week I stopped in as I'd just seen an insta post where someone had taken (literally cut off) their power cord. Figured that was my sign to stop in! The cart is situated in a pretty chill spot with tons of covered seating. It was a weekday & well after the noon lunch rush, but there was still a steady stream of folks coming through. I was really stoked to try what I'd heard was one of the best burgers in the city. Like seriously stoked...burgers make me happy lol! Speaking solely on my order (single cheeseburger/fries/fry sauce) Sure Shot is a must-try! My burger was SO GOOD, thin crisp meat skirt edge, patty to bun/toppings ratio was perfect. Some places are all bun but not here. The fries were thin, crispy, salty goodness. Will def be back.

A YouTube foodie video about Portland Food Carts piqued my interest in this place. Out of all the food cart stations I've been to so far, this was probably the smallest. Most of the carts were closed. I'm guessing this may be because there is a much bigger food cart station a short drive away. I actually drove past a super crowded brick and mortar smashburger restaurant on my way here, but was determined to try this specific burger. I ordered a single cheeseburger with everything. Service was very friendly. My burger didn't take long to prepare-- just long enough to be sure it was fresh. Okay, so, first of all, yes, it actually qualified as a smashburger. Out of all the smashburgers I've tried in Oregon so far, this was the first that technically actually was a smashburger. As you can see from my photo, the patty was smashed thin, and there was some caramelization. Not a lot, but some. The toppings were a bit of sauce, onions, and pickles. Basic AF. For $6.50, I thought it was a decent value. It was like a fresher, slightly higher quality version of a fast food burger. In my personal opinion, the flavor of the meat patty was not enough to stand on its own. It was on the bland side. It really needed more seasoning, sauce, or toppings. While this won't be my personal favorite new stop, I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a plain, basic, classic smashburger.

In a highly competitive smash burger market, only one can be truly the best. Though it doesn't always have to be a competition... but if you're sure shot you hope it's a competition. You know why? Because they would win. This is the best smash burger in the city. This is the epitome of what you want from a smash burger. Edges perfect, cheese done just right, the perfectly chosen bun, the fries pair perfect. They got the sauce down. It's all there. Nothing else to say. I've been running around the city ranking burgers every which way. What I know is this... It all starts with Sure Shot at #1 (4.9 Stars)

It's not supposed to look like an amazing monstrosity. The joy of a Smashburger lies in its simplicity.

My goto has been Mid City Smashburger, but I may need to reassess. Sure Shot's version was excellent, especially the balance of ingredients. Quick service and fair price.

Friendly service, plenty of parking and covered seating, and killer hit-the-spot food! Simple menu, but you don't need much variety if you're craving a solid burger. The dip options for the fries were delicious too! The bar next door provides bathrooms, water, and other beverages that you might need; or you can hangout there after your meal. Highly recommended!

This is my first driving review via speech to text to write this review. Oh man, that Sure Shot Burger was the best smashed burger I've had in my life as of 2/21/2025. Simple and good; it had onions, cheese. The burger patty was really thin, well-seasoned. With the onions, it complimented it a lot. It tasted as if McDonald's or White Castle would have a smashed burger. As well as the fries tasted like McDonald's. It was fast; my order took 3 minutes to complete because smashed burgers don't take long to cook and had a coke as well. It probably would've been the first place I went back to order for seconds; thought about ordering another burger, but I didn't; it was that good.

Excellent smash burgers! Great service too. The draft root beer is really good, but a bit expensive at $5. They should offer a refill.

I've looked forward to writing this review for a number of weeks now... ashamed I haven't done it…read moresooner. Wilder. WOW. JUST WOW. This is another one of those rare reviews I write where I regret we can't give more than 5-stars! Wilder is truly one of the greatest restaurants in all of the Portland metro. Discovered on a random Saturday morning months ago, we stumbled in for a late brunch... it was a knock-your-socks off moment. First, their Benedict is absolutley delectable! We all know I'm a sucker for a good Benedict but I'll put this one in my top-3 EVER! Absolutely wonderful! Secondly, having returned multiple times for brunch, I can confidently say, you can't choose wrong from their menu! During brunch one morning, we came to the realization that Wilder offers dinner, as well! Sure enough, we were back within the week. First thing we noticed was gluten-free fried chicken... what? Who would have thought?!?! Of course, it was on the list + their Steak Tartare. I'll just say, we couldn't have ordered better. Their chicken is literally, out of this world. Having lived in the southeast of the country twice now, I feel as though I've experienced some pretty darn good fried chicken. However, the Wilder's Fried Chicken was absolutely enchanting, every bite! The Steak Tartare was served beautifully, with a yolk on top... how much better does it get? Ambiance is cozy and romantic. Bright and intimate in the mornings for brunch, dark and moody in the evenings for dinner. It strikes the perfect mood, every visit. We would be remiss not to mention their fabulous staff. Each and every member of their team is a delight. Professional, kind, friendly, and engaging. Nothing but positive interactions, every single time. Drinks are wonderful, bar staff is obviously knowledgable. Great selection of spirits and wine. Food is to die for. Staff is top-notch! Wilder has earned nothing less than a perfect 5-star rating. Truly in our Top 3 favorite restaurants in all of Portland and permanently on our weekly list of places to visit. As it has started to become our Friday "date night" spot, it certainly makes me anxious for the weekends to get here! Go enjoy, you won't regret it! Thank me later!

Wow! Been sleeping on this place. Everyone that worked there was a delight and seemed to work…read moreeffortlessly together. Special shout out to the kitchen staff for big multitasking energy: watching the game, closing out the place, and firing out some amazing food. Wilder's near-close happy hour offerings were both tasty and generous. Cocktails featured offerings from local distillers that yielded complex flavors but nothing that was "trying too hard" to be artisanal. Also Made my date's night that they were using polenta as a bun.

After wanting to visit Javelina for a long time I finally got the opportunity to a couple weeks ago. SO GOOD! I got the bison chili, some fry bread (of course! ), the three sisters salad, and some tea. The chili was SUPERB, and the fry bread was the perfect dipping accompaniment to it. The three sisters salad had such a good flavor balance, with the squash giving a perfect hint of sweetness against the other ingredients.
