The burger and fries showed up looking like an advertisement in a magazine. This first photo shows at halfway devoured.

We had a nice Saturday afternoon stop here with amazing food a decent beer selection of 20 beers on tap and good friendly attentive service. Breakfast was still being served at 1 pm which was amazing. We have only come here four or five times but the food and service has been consistently good each time .

Love the menu here at NEPO 42! So many yummy items to choose from it makes you want to return to try them all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our dog, Nova, loves the large outdoor patio seating to meet other pups and NEPO 42 provides water bowls for furry friends![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Back to the food a must try are the zucchini cakes... like veggie crab cakes, but better. Absolutely delicious with a dill and lemon aioli. I had the chicken salad sandwich that was actually a yellow curry chicken salad with grapes and raisins, oh it was so light, fresh and freaking good! And their fries!! Crispy, perfect fries, pillow soft in the center with ranch to dip! Heaven! Husband had the Salmon dish and he loved it, and daughter had the Cuban that was huge! We are definitely going to be returning to go through the rest of the menu!

Love this place! Great lunch, happy hour, and dinner spot. The food is amazing and the cocktails are even better! Great beer selection as well. Service is impeccable. I recommend the barnyard fries, chicken wings and the el diablo cocktail. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Local Portland vibes, quiet inside and lots of outdoor seating if the weather is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Covered outdoor area if it's raining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Chicken club sandwich and fries.
    Jeff K.

The food was great. I had a chicken club sandwich (see photo) and garlic fries. Both came out hot and fresh. The parking is not fun. Hard to find a spot on the street.

    Overcooked Rueben sandwich.
    Troy H.

The wings were okay, pretty salty, maybe rinse the brine before cooking, The fries were good but the Rueben was way over cooked and the meat had no flavor. I do appreciate the wait staff taking 50% off the sandwich due to the poor quality. Had a few beers that were not that great but that's my fault for not checking untapped first.

We just moved into the neighborhood and have been dying to check this place out. It came highly recommended by our neighbors. A short walk from out place! It has a wonderful outdoor patio that we are looking forward to using once we get warmer weather!! Hummus plate for appetizer was really good. Ruben, Wrap and Bowl were also very good and rich with bold flavors. Unfortunately service was very unpleasant. It seemed like our waitress was the only one working and didn't really want to be there... gave off a pretty negative vibe... Looking forward to trying it again for a better experience!

Special shout out to the kitchen staff for big multitasking energy: watching the game, closing out the place, and firing out some amazing food. Wilder's near-close happy hour offerings were both tasty and generous. Cocktails featured offerings from local distillers that yielded complex flavors but nothing that was "trying too hard" to be artisanal. Also Made my date's night that they were using polenta as a bun.

Fiance and I decided to celebrate our 8 year anniversary at Wilder because we saw Steak Tartare on…read moretheir menu and knew we had to come try it! We walked in at about 6:30pm on a Wednesday night and was kind of greeted by one of the servers. She wasn't too friendly and seemed to be irritated that we said we'd wait for a table as opposed to sitting at the bar. Once seated, that same server came over to try to take our orders and once again seemed irritated that we weren't ready to order. Luckily, another server took over from there and we had a pleasant anniversary meal the rest of the time! Here's everything we tried: Devilish Eggs - This came with 4 deviled eggs and was just okay. The crispy bacon pieces was the best part of this dish! Steak Tartare - This was the main reason we chose this restaurant and we were definitely not disappointed! We spent our first anniversary together in Europe and had so much tartare and this really brought back some wonderful memories for us. The tartare was rich and mustardy, beef flavor was great, and it sort of just melted in your mouth. The crispy chips paired well with the tartare and I can't wait to come back and have this again! Mussels - This was a big bowl of mussels in a white wine garlic sauce with toasted baguettes. Mussels tasted fresh and garlicky with just a bit of funk from whatever cheese they grated on top. The toasted baguettes were so good dipped into that white wine broth. I wish this dish came with skinny fries but it was also so good as is. Would definitely order this again! Field Greens - I asked for this to come out with my meal but it came out about 10 minutes before the entrees came out. It was very light and refreshing. I saved half to have with my meal but most of it was wilted already by the time our mains came out. But it's okay! The fried chicken actually had a small portion of this salad on its plate. I wouldn't have ordered this had I known, so next time will skip the side salad altogether! Fried chicken - I really wanted to like this dish but alas, fried chicken breast is very hard to make juicy. I definitely prefer dark meat because that's harder to mess up. My partner enjoyed it but he doesn't mind dry chicken. The sauces were phenomenal! That mustard sauce was great and the sweet glaze was delicious! The potatoes would have been a lot better if they were smaller to get more of that crust to creamy potato ratio but still okay the way it was. My fiance cleaned this plate up! Brown Butter Cake - This cake was phenomenal! It's hard to mess anything with Brown Butter up so I had really high expectations for this and they certainly did not disappoint. The server was nice enough to throw candles on it since we were celebrating and it really ended our meal on the sweetest note! The restaurant itself is small and cozy. A bit dark and romantic. It really reminded me of the small bistros in France that we frequented while we were out there. We'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu!

The intent is that you can get a creative slice for a uniform price at any participating location during the promo week. But here they only sell a whole pan. Would it kill them just to play along? After this experience I conclude that potato does not go well on pizza, the flavor profile is too bland. The wait was long. No condiments other than pepper flakes. The tables propped up by a large beer keg kinda suck as it's difficult to stretch your legs. Friendly bartender. iPad defaults to a minimum 20%, but that's Portland. The beertender with glasses was right on friendly with his welcoming making you think you are undoubtedly going to keep your card on tab. Cool guy. My wife and I drove over 30 minutes to visit this location because we were looking forward to enjoying good BBQ, tacos and a beer. Unfortunately, the political signage displayed throughout the windows and establishment made us feel unwelcome, so we decided not to stay. Great Notion and Matt's BBQ Tacos, you've pushed away customers who came ready to support your business and spend money with you. I wish you the best, but it seems you've chosen to operate not only as a restaurant and brewery, but also as a platform for political messaging. The food was the main issue. We were there for an awesome OMSI Science Pub talk. It was held in their main auditorium; the same one that is used to screen 2nd-fun films. There were a ton of people there. We got there only 15 min before the talk started and placed our order for food to be delivered to our seats. We were given a card with a # and we waited. We could see many other guest also waiting since they also had cards with #s. Almost an hour later, I had to go back to get popcorn since I was so hungry and I just couldn't wait any longer. It would have been nice if the person who originally took our order would have warned us that there would be a long wait. I would have altered my order to fit within that expectation and then enjoyed the talk that much more. The food was ok. Nothing to write home about, but after the wait and the pricey dollar amount, it wasn't really worth it. To make things worse, here it is the next day, and I now have a stomach ache. Maybe I'm not used to bar food now that I'm older than I used to be, but either way, I'm not ordering food next time we see a talk there.
