Went here with some friends recently and had a decent time. The interior is pretty small, feels very cozy and staff were very nice and attentive. Food was served pretty quickly and coffee was always refilled. I got the Belgian waffle and it was okay. My friend got one of their lunch salads and the chicken in it was delicious, wish I got that!! One of my other friends tried the pancakes and liked them. Overall: decent brunch spot in Portland if you're not looking for anything fancy

All decent, good, not great, not bad

Elevated, but not overly foo-foo, breakfast fare. This new location is quaint with good service. I was tempted by the Breakfast Grilled Cheese then re-read my review from their Sherwood location. Instead, I opted for the simple egg on brioche. It comes with a side salad, one of the better values on the menu. I was disappointed to see Tabasco (you know, like from the '80s), but appreciated the homemade hot sauce. My partner had the steak and eggs. Decent, but not too memorable. The star of show was the seasonal watermelon drink. So good. Dig the table by the window. One of those places I'd come back to, but won't rush to do it.

We stopped here on our way from the airport. It was open early so it was convenient. Parking is on the street. It's a good thing we got there early because it got crowded! It's a quaint place with amazing, personal service. The food is really good too!

Quick read: YES, COME HERE! We took a chance on this place when some unexpected family flew into town and wanted a good breakfast. This was the first spot open long enough for us to still squeeze one in. As soon as we walked in, we noticed a sign proudly supporting inclusion and justice. As a Mexican queer woman, seeing that right away felt genuinely welcoming. We grabbed a table, got our menus, and I immediately noticed the Community Meal option-where anyone can come in and get a meal, no questions asked, free of cost. Our server overheard us talking about it and was ready to offer it with complete respect. We were the only ones in this restaurant and they were okay with providing meals for free if we needed them. That alone speaks volumes about the kind of place this is. When ordering, we learned they don't even have a freezer everything is fresh and locally sourced. Big win. One of us ordered the French toast, and wow... I wish I had too. It was beautiful, topped with nuts for the perfect crunch, and made with brioche bread. PHENOMENAL. I had a bite (and got the leftovers), and it was just as amazing cold. I ordered the chorizo breakfast sandwich with a side of tots, and even the quality of the oil they fry with must be top-notch because those tots had the perfect crispy outside with soft, fluffy insides. My friend ordered the huevos rancheros, which I barely saw before he devoured it and immediately went into a happy food coma. We also had biscuits and gravy--slightly sweeter than usual, but still delicious. I'll absolutely be bringing friends here for future breakfast dates. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and come try their food!

What a cute way to display the "soup of the day".

Brand new place in the neighborhood, 1mo old. Found it by searching Yelp for breakfast places nearby. I just had the "Usual" which is two eggs, potatoes and meat. I also added a "Side Pancake". All it was pretty good plus the service was fantastic. It's a cute little place, so stop in sometime. I found the first cup of coffee sour, but when they refilled it, it tasted fine. p.s. At any restaurant, if you receive a sour coffee, just ask your server to replace it from a fresher batch. Most places are fine with that.

I picked this place for brunch as it had such a variety of options on the menu. It's a small neighborhood cafe with excellent Service

Fried chicken, blt, sloppy southerner. Fried chicken was tender with biscuit and home fries. Homemade ranch. Gotta try their homemade BBQ sause with a smokey heat. BLT was full of bacon, juicy tomato and tender toast. Sloppy Southern tender chicken thigh with bread and butter pickles that added a hit of vinegar and heat? A must try is their homemade strawberry lemonade. A must try!

We were on the hunt for a place that serves breakfast food "late" and we were lucky to find Fat Milo's! It's a small restaurant and service can be a but slow, but the coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches hit the spot. We opted for salad (choice of breakfast potatoes or salad) and we loved the crunchy breadcrumbs sprinkled on top. There's not much for ambience but we just wanted something to get our day started well, in and out. The chorizo breakfast sandwich tasted great, but was difficult to eat because it's a giant link split lengthwise. You really need to chomp through the casing. Would be nice if the chorizo was cut up a bit more. Prices were decent for the food and it's definitely worth a repeat visit.

Biscuits hot out of the oven, smelled divine...

Went for brunch today and had fabulous food and friendly service. Clean, cozy, bright space. Had a waffle w/ a side of bacon, my friend had the vegetable hash. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. We will come back for the biscuits! (my daughter wants to try the fish and chips)

    Hot chocolate, coffee, orange juice

It was such an amazing and personal experience. I have trouble with going to breakfast places around Portland because they just seem so "in and out" if that makes sense. Here it felt like I just went into those older breakfast/diner places that everyone loves because it's very nostalgic and simple. In the best way! Our server for the day was absolutely amazing! We are definitely going back more. I really want to try out their fries since they're thinner fries which is what I prefer!! I'm hoping to see eggs Benedict on their menu too in the future! Thanks Milo's!

We were all in HEAVEN with what we ordered. From the first bite to the last it we were all absolutely stunned by how delicious and well made everything was. I savored every bite as did my compatriots. One gal ordered a couple things to go for her family (huevos rancheros for the hubby and cinnamon rolls for her kiddos) and our waitress Davi recommended they bring out the cinnamon rolls unfired so that she could pop them in the oven when she got home after a short drive. The upsides - there is table service now and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I've ordered their Country Fried Steak with scrambled eggs multiple times now. Still a very good steak and sausage gravy. Either the steak breading of the sausage gravy was maybe a touch more salty than usual. The eggs were disappointing- scrambled eggs should be fluffy due to constantly stirring over low heat in a pan - and previously they always had been. This time they were a overcooked dense, dry puck, It was as if the egg mixture was poured out on the flattop, left and flipped once. Still eatable with hot sauce. Over all - they did hit a ball, but definitely no home run. It's unlikely that I'll be back.

However, now that I've been a few times, I notice little details like "why do the hostesses continue to seat people right next to each other?". There are plenty of other open tables that people could be seated at, but it really eliminated our ability to have a connecting conversation, as it felt like we were a party of 6 with us 2 in the middle!!! And 2 of the people clearly had some personal "issues" going on and were very disruptive. The space is small, but the visual displays of all the artwork make it a talking point conversation. Funny, we ordered 1st & ours came out 10 mins later after everyone else. I decided to go with the Chicken and Waffles, and we also had the shrimp and grits.
