Was misdiagnosed and sent home to suffer in pain for the next 24 hours til I went to a real ER (Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano) when they performed an out patient procedure on me and I was instantly better... at this ER they literally told me they didn't know what was wrong and gave me medication that I didn't need... Visited SurePoint on Wednesday 2/5, This was my second visit and was even more impressed than during my first visit. The friendly and truly caring staff are something unusual in the healthcare industry. I seldom get the quality I receive there from my own PCP and/or the specialists I have visited in the past. Dr. Thakkar is an outstanding physician: caring, detailed in his explanations and clear on the course of treatment and potential outcomes. Anyone in the North Dallas, Preston Hollow, West Plano corridor should consider this clinic when in need of urgent and effective medical care. read more

Horrible experience. Do NOT use this place. For 4-5 hours of care that included simple blood tests (that were done incorrectly and had to be repeated at Medical City Plano) an IV bag of pain meds and one MRI. The "doctor" was completely incomprehensible because of his monotone inability to even speak English. A few hours in, my kidney stone moved and the pain subsided. They called an AMBULANCE to transport me because their botched lab test was completely inaccurate and I needed more care. I refused the ambulance and went to the ER for a perfect blood test and release back to work. The doctor at Surepoint, who I spent 10 confusing minutes with, sent me a whopping bill three months later for another $9065.00. I had already been billed and used my entire savings for $5000. I will follow up on this review with the scam non-medical doctor and now get to fight this out via my insurance company in a courtroom. Just shoot me. Never ever go to this urgent care. read more

I fell off a table in my garage and landed on my back. I came here for x-rays and pain relief. I left after waiting for an hour with no assistance. I guess I'll just take my chances and pray that nothing serious is wrong. Go elsewhere & save yourself $500. read more

Well I wrote an negative review (this is an update to it) because of their administrative process that was not efficient/effective, but they followed up with me after I posted it. One of their VPs called me and rectified the situation in a satisfactory manner. Everyone makes a mistake, it is those who truly understand service and hospitality that correct them. The clinic itself was great. Prompt service. Nice admins, nurses, and doctors. Everting was clean and in good repair. Only thing to know is that this is not an urgent care spot, so treat it as an ER not an urgent care office (different insurance billing & copays). Would I go back? Now that I know they care to make a wrong situation, correct I would go back. read more

Well today my clumsy self did what my family has forbidden me to do for years.....use stairs with shoes on. Yeah yeah go ahead laugh. But it's true. I fall down the stairs and ONLY ME FALLS UP THE STAIRS!‍ So today I went to the grocery and the liquor store, came home and with my slip on Sketchers walked out my shoe and fell up the stairs, falling onto the broken glass. Went right over to ER Near Me. They were great. Moved the TV so I could see the Stros game. Xray my cut, dug out a tiny piece of glass. Applied the skin glue, and gave me a tetanus shot. All the while being professional and engaging. This wasn't my first trip over there. But they are always wonderful. read more

Don't go. Unless you enjoy paying their starting fee of $500 for sub-par health care. After 5 days of persistent cough, sore throat, lost voice, sinus infection type symptoms, I finally gave in and went to the nearest clinic that was open early. I do not get sick often, and avoid the doctor because my health insurance is not great (teachers deserve better). On the last day of school before summer, I arrived to ER Near Me at 6:30am, in attempt to get a diagnosis/meds and go to work on time. I began signing paperwork, and was called into the room quickly. I was not given a chance to complete the paperwork before the exam started. The nurse (Emelly) was friendly and caring. She asked about all of my symptoms, took my blood pressure and temp (although didn't say whether they were normal). Then she brought me meds. She told me what each of the meds were, but I was not familiar with them and she did not mention side effects. It was a lot of meds! I don't typically take any medicine and hadn't eaten breakfast. But, I took them hoping for relief. I immediately felt nauseous and a bit later felt light-headed. She left and Dr. Hailey came in. He asked a few questions and listened to my breathing with a stethoscope. Then he left. A different nurse came in and gave me flu and Covid tests, then told me they were taking me for chest x-rays, which the doctor didn't mention. I asked if they could find out about additional cost for x-rays. Another woman came in and told me she didn't have information on the cost of the x-rays and that would be for me to determine with my insurance company. I declined the x-rays. It would be difficult to call the insurance company with no voice. A lady came in requesting payment before I was given any diagnosis or treatment plan. After a long time of waiting, I left the room to see what was going on. A nurse saw me and said the doctor would be right back. Every person that left my room gave me no information. It was frustrating. Finally, the doctor came in to diagnose me with Bronchitis and Pharyngitis, which prompted me to ask if my test results were negative and he confirmed they were. Again, no information provided, I had to do all of the asking (with no voice). He told me he was prescribing a steroid and antibiotic and he left. A long time passed, so I went out to find someone. The original nurse finished her shift, so a new nurse (Wendy) came and gave me printouts about Bronchitis and Pharyngitis and a packet of disclosures (aka we charge a lot and are not liable). I had to request the rest of my chart, because there was no information included about the meds they gave me or my vitals. I also requested that she ask the doctor to call in anti-nausea meds because I was already feeling sick. She agreed, then gave me the rest of my chart and led me out. I sat down in my car and looked through the paperwork. It only listed 1 prescription. I went back in to confirm that I was prescribed 2 (steroid and antibiotic) as the doctor stated. She called the doctor and said he would be right out. After a long period of waiting, the nurse came out and said he ordered both prescriptions but would not be prescribing me anything for nausea. If I wanted the additional prescription, I would need to re-register and check back in (I'm guessing that means pay again). I told her I wanted the chart to be made accurate, and requested a new printout. Then, I demanded the doctor come out front. I explained to him that I requested nausea meds before I left the room, due to already feeling sick from all of the meds they gave me. I told him his chart was inaccurate, it only listed 1 prescription. He left and came back with an accurate printout, gave me 1 nausea pill and told me he sent a prescription for more. Two hours later (with zero other patients in the building from start to finish), I finally got to leave. I got no thank you, no hope you're feeling better, sorry for inconveniences, etc. I did see a lot of exchanging of glances and rolling of eyes between staff members. Nurse Wendy seemed annoyed, and told me she was trying to clean my room (when I came back in to get the prescriptions corrected). She was also annoyed that I wasn't wearing my mask inside my exam room (she pointed it out). It was impossible to communicate with no voice and a mask on. I was unable to go to work (being contagious), so I missed my students' last day of school. I cried while I was there, no one asked me if I was ok. Of the six people I saw while there, only the first nurse (Emelly) seemed to care, and to think it was the end of her overnight shift, is pretty impressive. I am surprised at all of the good reviews for this place. Yes, it was nicely decorated and clean, but that's about all it had going for it. If I hadn't needed care outside of typical hours, I would not have gone here. $500 for a visit is outrageous. I should've waited 2 hours and gone to Urgent Care, I've never paid more than $75/visit and received better care. read more

Absolutely horrible experience - both with the staff & the cost. First, they tell me they do rapid covid tests, and they "accept our insurance, but it's not in network, but they honor the in-network pricing & will bill it as such." Rapid Covid tests cost $110-$150. They charged my insurance $2,049 for an influenza test & the rapid test. WTF?! That is highway robbery. Second, the tech doing my culture used a HUGE swab, JAMMED it in my face, RIPPED it out, and caused a massive nosebleed that lasted 30 minutes. I was in SO MUCH PAIN. After the nosebleed finally stopped, I spat blood for 4 hours. They were very unempathetic. I didn't even know the doctor when he briefly walked in - he was just wearing street clothes. I couldn't tell if he was the doctor or what. Didn't introduce himself. Just came in & said, "OK, you have Covid. You tested positive." Just go somewhere else unless you absolutely have to because your life is in immediate danger. read more

Giving 1 star strictly for the nurse and registrar. Doctor was caring at first, until my CT scan came back clear (which is great, but doesn't automatically make my pain go away). When I told him my pain was still 10/10, he said "I can't do anything about that." I felt so ignored, uncared for and not believed. It's a horrible feeling to pile on top of the already pain, vomiting and discomfort I've been in for 3+ days. Find another ER. There are hundreds out there. UPDATE-1/9/23- After receiving a call from a different doctor after my visit (and the review I posted last week), who apologized for my recent experience, telling me that the way I was cared for, or lack there of, is not what "ER Near Me" stands for and that should I need to, I was welcome back to the facility where I would be well taken care of. So, I went back tonight (1/9/23) and the first clue that this was going to be another horrible experience, was when the nurse (Robin) asked "on a scale of 1 to 10, what is your pain right now, 10 would be like giving birth or having your stomach sliced open with a knife". First, I've never given birth or been sliced open with a knife, and on that same note, what if I was a female struggling with infertility and that's the reference a NURSE gives me for a pain level. EVERYONE experiences pain differently. My 10 could be someone else's 2 and vice versa. The doctor (Dr. Mohamed) came in, I went through my history, AGAIN, he never said a word, just stared blankly at me. His plan for my 7+ days of constant pain and vomiting was offering me Zofran for nausea. That's it. So, again, I will defer to my prior review. And I hope whoever is reading this does too. I came in feeling really sick yesterday and I wish I had not come to this location. The doctor make me feel so uncomfortable as a girl. I felt so vulnerable and weak so I couldn't say anything in the moment. The way the doctor did the physical exam made me feel so scared and uncomfortable. He pulled my shirt up and exposed my breast before even asking or giving me a heads up. He told me to look away and I didn't understand why. I really felt so exposed. No doctor has aggressively pulled my shirt up and touched my chest without giving me a heads up or even asking. I understand he's a doctor and it's part of procedure but as a doctors they need to ensure the comfort and safety of their patients. I loved the nurse and wish more people in healthcare were like her. read more

I had to come in on a Monday during the snow storm last week and the experience was as good as it could be (I had a pretty bad infection) because of one of the nurses! Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch his name but his compassion and care stuck with me even though I was in a lot of discomfort and pain. Thank you to this nurse! Excellent! I was there late one night this week and they helped me right away. The location is new so I expected it to feel that way but also saw the quality of the furniture in the waiting area, individual room where I was treated, the equipment they used, etc. I was happily impressed. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and sensitive about how I was feeling and asking the bare minimum questions go get me checked. RN Carissa did a fantastic job all along, from asking how I am feeling often, checking on me every 5min, explaining what she was going to do and handling the medications and instruments with a lot of care MD Ziegler was very clear about what was going on, made me feel very safe, and explained the results of the tests very clearly. He also recommended the right medications which have helped with my recovery. I confirmed all this when I went to see my PCP a few days later and he said I was doing all the right things. I definitely recommend this ER and hopefully not, but will use it again if I ever need it. read more

Well I do not recommend a kidney stone the size of a marble or so it felt to kick off your Thanksgiving week I profusely recommend this location. Their phenomenal staff is the epitome of professional, compassionate and committed. Starting from checking with Emily which was seamlessly efficient to Austin starting an IV effortlessly to most importantly getting to meet & be treated by Dr. Hailey. I was on the receiving end of such elite care that despite the tremendous amount of pain I was in; the feeling of contentment & their ability to take care of me & their willingness to treat me with just the utmost of professionalism and kindness is overwhelming. Scott and Austin as well as I believe David are an amazing example of their professions and Emily!!! Emily, there are no words to describe how your intuition and your amazing ability to get me checked in without hesitation is really what set the tone for my care. BUT, one associate there as well as the discharge doctor were not my favorite I can still tell you everybody else there stood in amazing representation of how lucky and fortunate we are to have this type of medicine provided for us. Dr. Hailey has continued to advocate for me and provide me with exceptional care weeks later. He is a true credit to his profession and I'm so fortunate that as I stumbled in there in the wee dawn hours thinking I was going to die he was there to take care of me. My daughter wasn't feeling well one night so we ended up taking her to the ER. I was dreading it at first but then when we walked into ER near me I was shocked at how good this place was. They made my daughter and I feel so comfortable. Not only is the place super clean but the service there is what you would get if you stayed at a hotel. We ended up staying overnight and then my daughter had surgery the next morning at Medcity but they made the whole process of transferring her there seamless. They even arranged the ambulance for the transfer while coordinating the procedure time with the surgeon. The doctor and nurses on call were excellent. Put a nervous mother and her child at ease while taking care of everything. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful experience especially while I going through all this. I didn't have anything to think of other than my daughter while I was there. This happened a few weeks ago and this week we received this box of cookies from them. That was such a sweet thing for them to do. read more

Was here with my husband last night and he received the best care! Dr. Ravikumar was fantastic about keeping us informed and updated on my husband's progress. The nurses and other staff were sensitive to my husband's needs and truly demonstrated concern for his comfort during treatment. The staff made a point to ensure that I had what I needed during his stay there as well ( we were there a total of 15 hours). This ER went above and beyond in their efforts to be professional and caring through the whole process. The best part was the way both the nurses and doctors took their time to explain what was happening, but all tests and results were done quickly enough that I was never impatient or felt like my husband had been forgotten. Can't say enough wonderful things about this location!!! read more

Just took my girlfriend to Er Near Me in Addison Tx for severe back pain to the point of not being able to walk and I've never met a nicer staff. Stacey was right there and ready to help when we came in. Jeremy came to help get my girlfriend out of the car where she couldn't walk and was so helpful. Nurse Scott and Lydia were beyond helpful. They made sure my girlfriend felt as comfortable as possible and checked on us every chance they got. They were thorough, caring, and knowledgeable. Dr. Hailey did amazing. He made sure to check everything we needed and went so far as to make a call in to get us into a spine specialist NEXT DAY! This truly is a staff of awesome employees and I highly recommend this ER location. read more

I was home alone and accidentally cut my hand with a sharp knife in the kitchen. ER Near Me was literally the closest ER to me and thankfully they were not busy when I came in. I was upset upon arrival and everyone was extremely kind and helpful in calming me down. The receptionists were so nice, got me to sign the forms I needed and got me in quickly. The doctor and nurses assessed me fast and got my stitches taken care of. I hit a nerve so I needed follow up from a specialist and they provided all of the information I needed to do that as well. They even helped me the next day when I discovered their first recommendation for a specialist was not in my insurance network, so I called and they recommended someone else who was. They even called me 48 hours after my visit to ensure that I was still doing ok. The facility itself is very new, clean and comfortable. The lobby has a million complimentary snacks (perfect if you're waiting with kids) and very comfy chairs. No one wants to go to the ER, but I'm glad I ended up here. I highly recommend ER Near Me! Ok so, this is my second time going to this location and I'd have to say I am amazed. Everyone from the receptionist, nurses and Doctor were all amazing. I was NOT feeling week at all and everyone ensured I was comfortable and had everything I needed. My nurse Sara was awesome as she kept me laughing and eased my pain a bit. Dr. Ziegler was sure to explain everything they were doing very thoroughly and even took extra steps by running additional tests. No one wants to go to an ER but this place is the absolute best at ensuring their patients feel comfortable and are well taken care of. Other ER's and even Hospitals can learn a thing or two from their exemplary service. I thank them tremendously! read more

They keep refusing to provide us with their vaild billing department information, they keep providing us with invalid info, and they haven't responded to my insurance letter from "United Health Care", although they claimed they are contracted with UHC when I was admitted to this facility. Tried to contact them so many times, they keep dodging me and my insurance for some reason. So far, this behavior indicates this place works with a billing department that scams patients and takes advantage of a loophole in our legal system. Be careful folks, I am not removing this review until they start acting in accordance to the law, and my claims are settled down. If they are not willing to treat me with my rights, I am lawyering up to protect myself from these scammers, and I am going to talk with the Dallas Morning News very soon about this and I have already reached out to our district lawmakers to stop this complicit behavior. read more
