The new roof is likely fine, but a 35 year old rhododendron was badly damaged and no one is getting back to me about replacing it. It's been six months of promised and then unanswered emails. Now I can't reach them by phone and the website seems to be down. read more

This company was hired by EMT Solar to come out and replace our roof on November 10th, 2025. They were at our house for 25 minutes before they decided it would be a great idea to place a WHOLE PALLET of shingles on our roof in one spot via a crane, thus collapsing our roof and bowing out our walls. They then took those shingles off the pallet and chucked them all over the roof to distribute the weight, thus creating stress cracks in our dry wall & ceilings from one end of the house to the other. We have now been out of our house since November 10th while we wait for it to be repaired. They swear up and down this is "common practice" to place a whole pallet of shingles (between 2500 and 3500 lbs) in one spot on the roof. Ask around, that is NOT common practice and not advised. No wonder this company already has a low score. Do your homework and check reviews on companies. Had it been up to us, we never would have allowed this company to come and work on our house. read more

I only looked up the phone number for another family member and didn't call. They have been calling me everyday for a week!!!! Two people showed up at the family members house after that family member made an appointment for a quote and started to do a grift. Kept him occupied for an hour or more. They are worst than used car salesmen. I got on the call and told them forget about it. I blocked that number and they called me again today....using another number.....Beware of this group. Like what another complaint said....other roofers show up with out a spiel, or Power point presentation and tell you they have to do this.... read more

They broke/damaged so much on my house it was absolutely ridiculous. Torn screens, they did repair them but forgot to return one. Now I need to buy a whole new screen. Nails EVERYWHERE, they were incredibly messy. They broke 2 of my husband's grills, dented out grade door, put multiple holes in our siding and replaced it with mismatched crap. Had we not caught them, I doubt they would have even brought it up. They are among they most expensive companies out their and said they pride themselves on their quality workmanship, I am for one not impressed. Horrible Company. After work was done a year and half ago I left positive feedback thinking the work was done properly and it wasn't. Had a leak less than 5 months later and still continue when it's a year and half later and issues not fixed and now I have black mold growing in home and causing foundation issues and leaks in my basement. My immune compromised mother, 7 year old, myself and pets breath in black mold on a daily basis as well as it growing throughout the house and basement due to this roof leak. In the spring 0f 2022 my father had his roof done. From the 1st day they started working, we had problems. Like walking on the trailer roof ( after being told not to). That caused the kitchen ceiling to sink in. They needed to then tear the kitchen ceiling off and raise the ceiling to fix their error. (This all happening during my dads chemo. Fast forward to spring of 2024 a contractor and fire inspector came out to inspect roof. Was told its trash and needs to be torn off and redone $3500. This roof is life time warranty unless owners change (way not to stand behind your work) Ive called 3 times and havent got a call back. Was told they were busy because of the storms. If I could give negative stars I would. Hired them to re-roof the small covering over our front door/porch area. Horrible customer service. Sales Rep lied to my wife and I regarding what the team would do for us during the repair and then when questioned about it by his own team lied and said "he never said that". Didn't even know they were coming until the dumpster was parked in our driveway without warning. Paid to have a tint applied to the silicon layer to better match the colors of our house, was told that they couldn't do that due to the temp and just took the tint charge off the bill, meanwhile the surface is a white-colored eye sore compared to the rest of the roof which is black. Started the job mid-day and "finished" in the dark and when you look at it, it definitely looks like it was done in the dark and they couldn't even see what they were doing at the end. We requested an estimate for some gutter work, plus a small roof area. I went over this carefully and specifically with the 2 gentlemen who showed up, and told them simply email the quote for the job. Instead, they took about an hour looking over the roof, I presume, knocked on the door, and asked if they could come in to show me a video and go over what they can do. I told them "no", just do what I specifically asked for-a quote for the job needed. At that point, the guy said, "then we are not the company for you", and left. Obviously, they had a prepared sales spiel for the whole roof & gutters. This was a complete waste of my time, and the company's time. I've been in sales my entire work life. This review is not based on experience with their product but the service I received on the phone. I called to make an appointment for an estimate and was asked when would my husband be home. NOT APPROPRIATE! 17 percent of home buyers are now single women, never married. First of all, getting an estimate has nothing to do with my married status. The other roofing contractors I called, never asked and I didn't even need to be home. Asking if "husband" will be home is perpetuating the stereotype that women are incapable of making decisions without a man. As a realtor, I am upheld to a strict code of ethics regarding a person's personal status to prevent discrimination. An appropriate question would be asking if all parties are available to be present at the time of the appointment. Assuming I was married just lost you a $20,000 roof, window, and two sliding doors replaced job. read more

Still Waiting......... I reached out to Surf & Turf Roofing to get a estimate for a roofing project I was looking to get rectified. I was told that someone would be contacting me soon. Later that afternoon a young lady contacted me from Surf & Turf and when I tried to explain my issue/needs the woman set me up for an appointment. I was then asked multiple questions some of which had no basis to my needs for an appraisal but I played along and answered them to best of my knowledge. I then finished my call and had an appointment scheduled for Friday at 3 pm. I even received a call the night before confirming my appointment for the next day. Fast forward to appointment day and thank God I had plenty to do around the house as i waited for my 3 pm appointment and no one showed!!!!! No communication has been received for either rescheduling or a cancellation. I dont understand how companies stay in business when people are trying to give you money and still you dont want it. Well shame on me thinking I was contacting the right company for my job/repair. This my friends is a loss of business that will never be back. God Bless! read more

had them come and do my roof.. Explained that a part of the roof needed complete replacement. The salesmen agreed. the next week the workmen came and did a nice job and finished in one day. The next day the office called and said I owed an extra $750 for the extra wood and materials for the part of the roof that needed extra work. And the roof work was expensive to start with. Then when it rained the day after, I realized they didn't fix the drip problem on the same part that needed extra work. Now they don't even return my calls. Think it is the old bait and switch which is totally deceptive. Have a couple pieces of metal that need replacing. Told them initially it was a small job but they said no problem. Just wanted to confirm that I would be home as they work by appt only. They did ask how old my roof was which set off a little red flag. Called today to confirm appt and said my wife needed to be here as well. Told them she would not be here. They said that she needed to be here. I informed them it is just to replace couple sheets of metal and not a big deal. They said they could not come out if she was not going to be here. This company deserves zero stars. Terrible. No shows--we originally scheduled an appointment for an estimate to repair roof damage in early September. Right before the appointment date, they called with an excuse and cancelled. The earliest appointment they had was a month later, so we were hopeful it was a one-time issue, and rescheduled. Please read before considering them!!! I had my roof done by them a little under a year ago and thought they did a good job until about 2-3 weeks after. They insisted it was a one day job and they were right but worked in the dark until about 8:30pm. Major problems following the completion of the job... they had the reinstall my skylights in the dark and the first good rainstorm that came I found a leak in one of my skylights that leaked through my bedroom floor into my kitchen. I called immediately after seeing this and the project manager was basically telling me their was nothing they could do. I persisted and finally talked the their manager and they agreed to replace the skylight but never offered to fix the damage done to my kitchen ceiling... it's now December and I'm still waiting for them to replace the skylight and fix the problem. No return calls or any response to fix the issue they caused. read more

If it were possible I'd give zero stars. Had my roof " repaired" for $199- a day later it rained and roof still leaked. Finally a response and leak was "higher" than they thought and wanted another $400 to repair what should have been repaired the week before. I can't believe they had the audacity to cash my check for a job NOT done. To top it off we got an initial estimate for a complete new roof - at least 5k higher than all other estimates.
