Ugh. I was so determined to find his ring, that I was willing to turn the car around at Barstow, drive all the way back to Laguna Beach and dig in the sand in the dark! I could not accept the fact that his wedding ring would be found by someone one else, and any other replacement ring would not/could not be the same. We called up Rick, and after describing where we had lost the ring specifically, and how it had been lost; he said he was willing to go down to the beach for us. We trusted that if anyone could help us, he could. So with that, we carried on with our drive towards our home in Las Vegas. About an hour later we got a call from Rick saying he had my husband's ring!! My husband was SO relieved that he said if he could kiss him through the phone - he would! Haha!! We received the ring very well packaged, insured, and quickly delivered the day after we gave our address. It's still unbelievable. I always try to do the right thing, be the better person, live a Karma inspired life. But when someone shows you a similar kindness, especially when you think all hope is lost - it can just take your breath away. My husband paid Rick back for the shipping, and added a reward. I was turned off by other jewelers' below par customer service, whether it's lack of empathy, or sincere desire to convince you that you're not just seeing things or being delusional. And it paid off. Aysel, the owner, was more than a great and compassionate listener. Aysel understood my needs...it was almost as if we've known each other for decades. She reassured me that my precious little babies would come back super clean, shinier than ever, brighter than my smart husband, AND that rhodium plating will not hurt the diamonds (which was a big concern of mine, only because I didn't know if it did since I'm not a professional jeweler). Btw, if you need to retighten your stones to your ring's metal clasp, they do that too. I'll probably bring it in next year for an annual physical checkup, just like my aging 60 y.o. body that requires some fine tuning every now and then to ensure it's performance is as brilliant as my wedding ring!
