Olson's has been my trusted regular plumber for years. They have always done a great job at a fair price. Unfortunately, they are closed on Sunday, and I had to call one of those large "Rooter" companies to clear a kitchen sink drain. What a mistake. The Plummer they sent couldn't even unclog the drain. I called Olson's the next morning and Paul was able to fit me in with his schedule. He even gave me an approximate price based on the description of the problem I provided. He and his assistant were easily able to identify the problem; fix the issue and honor the fair price he quoted. I learned my lesson, even if I have a plumbing issue on Sunday, I will wait until Monday and be calling Olson's for any future plumbing issues. read more

I called Paul Olson at 5:30 am because the water line had corroded and was shooting water in my front yard. Paul returned my call after 10 min and came over to shut my water off. Turned out it was the water line to my sprinkler system and could be shut off since I rarely use it. I called Olsen's plumbing for an issue I had with my shower drain being clogged and wanted to get a 2nd opinion/consultation. Prior to calling Olson's, I already had another plumber come to snake my drain. While snaking, that plumber pulled out roots when he retracted his snake. He then ran a camera and still saw more roots. So he thought I possibly had a bigger issue. He suggested that I hydrojet and install a cleanout before epoxy coating the drain to prevent future roots growing back in. When I called Olsen's I met up with Paul. Super nice friendly guy. I told him my situation. He actually ran a camera down from the air vent on my roof (which the first plumber didn't do). His camera hit some roots, but he was able to push the root through with the camera and cleared the drain. Basically the first plumber thought there were still roots in my drain because his snake pulled back roots and some of the roots he pulled back fell off and got left in the drain. Long story short, the first plumber did not cross all his "t's" and dot his "i's" before quoting me another $2500 solution. Thanks to Paul's diagnosis/assessment, he easily solved my problem, saved me tons of money, and told me there's nothing else I need to do beside's snaking the main line once a year as regular maintenance. He even did this as a complimentary courtesy for me. Can't say enough about how much I appreciate his professional work and help. Now I know who to call for future pluming work! 10/10 would recommend! read more

I called Olsons on a Sunday for a very urgent (and very stinky) sewer main cleaning from my cleanout. Tony showed up within half an hour and I cannot possibly say enough good things about him! Extremely friendly and polite and very professional from beginning to end. He was able to snake my drain and showed me the camera view of my sewer pipe, and stuck around to make sure everything was in good shape before leaving. Seriously the best experience I have ever had with such a crappy (heyooo) sewage situation. Tony is an amazing brand ambassador and we were so lucky he showed up to answer our call! Communications were extremely easy; we also appreciated the transparency. We requested a couple of quotes from different companies and decided on Olson's Plumbing. Their quote is not the lowest (though they offered price match, we did not bother), but we found they offer reasonable and fair price for their service. The services we had with them were descaling our hot water heater and installation of reverse osmosis machine that we provide. We were able to schedule the service in the same week we approved the estimate, and at the time that we requested. The technician/plumber we had was Aaron, who is more than amazing. A couple weeks ago I called my favorite plumber, Olson's, and was surprised when the plumber showed up in a truck that said "Beach Plumbing". I stopped him and said I'd called Olson's, not Beach Plumbing. He told me that Paul was retiring and Beach Plumbing was taking all their calls. I don't begrudge Paul retiring - in fact I hope he does retire and do whatever it is that makes him happy. But, the plumber I got was no Paul. The rate was much higher than Paul's and the damn toilet started leaking again within hours. I wound up fixing it myself. If I couldn't have Paul, who I thoroughly trust, I guess I'm buckling down and lifting the heavy and unwieldy toilet myself when a wax ring needs replacing (or the silly tank to bowl gasket fails - which turned out to be the real culprit. Hey, kids, just say no to those blue drop-in bowl cleaners. I used one, just one, and all watery hell broke loose all the way into my downstairs kitchen cupboard. Urp!). Update: Paul contacted me and said he was on vacation and has NOT retired! That's great news! I'm changing this from three stars to five stars because Paul had nothing to do with this problem. Update 2: I got a call from Beach Plumbing today explaining the mix-up about the identity of the company I'd actually contacted as well as apologizing for the incorrect repair. Olson's Plumbing and Rooter is legit!! A++++++++++ Paul & Julio came out this morning 4/24/25 towards the earlier part of the time block. I had a couple requests (at first)...main line clean out and washer drain issue. They were quick, clean and very pleasant the whole time. They assessed our washer drain which I was told was clogged (by the washer repairman), but Paul made an adjustment, tested the washer and concluded it was the washer not properly draining. I wanted the main line snaked so they did that and added the kitchen line very quickly. Since I had them there, they changed out a leaky hose bib, they plugged my fridge water line which had a slow leak and also assessed a slow running toilet. They did all this for much less than I was expecting. I will definitely use them for all of my plumbing needs. The best part was their very friendly demeanor and plumbing tips. Paul's experience and his explanation of everything plumbing is so great...I thought he was going to let young Julio do all the work, but Paul got in there and got his hands dirty doing a lot of the work himself. read more
