Cute touristy shop with everything you could possibly need at the beach and more! The staff is very friendly here and the store is very clean. The prices are reasonable and there is wide selection of clothing and accessories for everyone. Be aware that restrooms are very limited and there will be a line. I love that their parking garage is easy to get in and out of. Also, it is convenient that you pay for your parking at the elevators to the garage before you leave. Such an easy process! Another great thing about this store is that they have a Flowrider. I hate to admit this, but when my friends were talking about it on the way down the elevator, I thought they were talking about the rapper. I thought to myself "Oh that's so cool! This is a large store literally steps from the beach. If you forgot something, or need to purchase an umbrella, this place will have it. Prices are fair, sometimes slightly high. Then again, you're steps from the beach. The nearest bigbox store is miles away via vehicle. The stuff they sell is of varying quality. A lot of of the less expensive stuff is really cheap. You do get what you pay for. They do sell snacks, chips, some food and beer and wine. The alcohol price isn't that bad considering. Sure you could get it cheaper elsewhere, but then again, here you don't have to leave beach. Employees here are okay. They're mostly younger fairly quiet and at times, would rather be somewhere else. And after you hear the "Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurf Style......Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurf Style!" song/jingle they play, you'll probably want to be somewhere else too. I can't imagine how many times they hear that on an 8 hour shift. This is actually a really good place to park. Parking is on the back side of the building; follow the ramp to the garage. The price is similar to the public lots. Big bonus: Your vehicle will stay shaded. Because after a day on the beach, you don't want to get into a 130F car. If you buy something at the store, they'll give you an hour free. If you spend more than a few bucks, they'll take even more off...I can't remember the exact amount. Paying for parking is done by machines near the elevators. The machines must have heard the store jingle a million times because they can be temperamental. A few times, we had to have an employee call a manager to get assistance. I haven't tried the indoor surfing thing, but it looks pretty cool. It seems to attract a good amount of people. read more

Directly on Clearwater Beach, Surf Style is a surf shop and gift shop hybrid store with an indoor FlowRider, surfing simulator sheet wave ride! This two level store has everything you'd expect a tourist themed beach shop to offer and plenty more. Stocked with board sport and water sport gear and apparel plus a grocery store, this is a one stop shop on the beach. I came to flowboard. I've been here a few times and each time I come the staff is friendly and helpful. The FlowRider cost a nominal fee of $25 for 30 minutes, or $30 for an hour, of instruction and boards are provided. There is a changing area and seating to watch the action. Memberships are also available and discount packages. I bought a membership and rode for 2 hours with my family and friends. I always have a great time when I visit Clearwater Beach and Surf Style is always a must-do whenever I'm in the area. If you've never been, you should definitely give it a try! read more

This store is great. If there is anything at all that you forgot on your trip to the beach, this place will have it. Walking in the front door, you think okay, surf shop with all the regular surf shop stuff. No big deal. Then as you head to the back you will find the convenience store section, which honestly is more like a full on grocery store. They have liquor and beer, snacks, treats, full on meals. Everything! We were staying at a near-by hotel and walked over to this shop numerous times. The best part about this place, though, is the price. Being on the beach in a tourist paradise, it would be very easy for them to gouge the prices of lots of their common goods like sunscreen and snacks, however - they don't. Everything was very fairly priced, and some things I found to be cheaper than I find them at home at the regular grocery store. A++++! read more

I bought a 70.00 outfit at surf n style. When I got home I noticed there was a water stain on it. I emailed the company a few days later, they emailed me back and asked for pictures. I sent numerous pictures and asked for an update, however I was never given an update. I got a hold of corporate and I was transferred many times. I left many messages, however no one returned my call, I then called Human Resource and left a message and they did not return my call. The customer service is terrible and I was never able to exchange my outfit.. the poor customer service makes me not want to purchase anything from them again. read more

It's overpriced and if you want to return anything the only thing they can do for you is give you "in-store" credit. They do not allow you to return shoes that, obviously, had not been worn. Neither of these things were advertised when I bought my shoes and t-shirt. If I would've known, I would've thought twice about buying anything from there. They also have one of those indoor surfing activities which was very fun to watch. It's a little weird to access to beach through the store but also convenient. As much we love the shop, we do not love the customer service. We were charged $13 for a single diaper. We also had a random charge on our receipt. We went back in and spoke to the cashier and he got the manager. Our issue was never resolved. Also there is only 1 bathroom in the store. I come to this store every time i vacation in Clear Water. My daughter and i was shopping for clothes, I asked the fitting room attendant if she could try on the items we had she said "yes." My daughter is picky and kept asking me for different sizes and colors so i went out and got more items. The attendant left and never mentioned item limits, and there were no signs, I was there the day before with my other daughter and the young lady working there never mention anything about limits and we had so many items. Minutes later the rude attendant was banging on the door like a mad woman saying, " how many items do u have, you have some out, you are only allowed 5." Ok rules are rules but have signs and let customers know before letting them in the room, shouting at someone and making them feel like criminals and rule breakers is not right! I kept my cool bc honestly it's not my job to educate ppl on social etiquette and customer service and we just left. read more

Great place. Loads of fun. It's definitely worth something doing once. I would do it again if they had smaller groups. So that way I can get more turns on it. Last time I went it was four of us so we really only got half of the time we paid for. But it was a lot of fun. I recommend surf style to anyone in the Clearwater area. Great everything. Best store on the shore. However, there is no customer service. No focus on the customer at all. Just a bunch of kids running the show. Employees chat with each other and ignore customers. No customer interaction, greeting, or acknowledgement at all. They could have self-serve checkout registers and save a bunch in emotes salaries. If so, post a sign in the fitting room the specifies not to put your own clothes back or switch them out yourself. DO NOT I SAY DO NOT!!!!! Park here or buy anything at this store. It is a rip off. I am have been parking here for years at $4 an hour with the first hour free if you buy something. No matter how many hours you park here it is 12 dollars. So if you are only going to be there for an hour you WILL pay the 12 dollars. They don't care that you are only there for an hour and it doesn't specify that any thing after the first hour is $12. It just says $12 all day. The managers weren't very sympathetic either. Very disappointed in the parking validation. Was a different experience from last time I was there. Anything over 1 hour will cost you 15 dollars. My husband and I purchased items and were there for 1 hour 5 minutes and it was still 15 dollars. In the past you were able to validate your parking for the amount of time you were there. While this is a great store with an abundance of items, no workers are familiar with the parking validation. I visit Clearwater about two or three times per year, and I come hear every time! Previously, you could spend $50 in the store and they would validate your parking, and you received two hours of free parking. Although the first hour is still free, you have to pay $12 for any length of time if you exceed the one hour. I was here for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, so I had to pay the $12! I asked the workers about the parking validation, but none of them new anything! When I asked the parking garage attendant, she also was very unhelpful. She just gave me information that I already had! I will not be returning to any Surf Style again. I also recommend shopping in local stores in Indian Rocks Beach a few minutes away! read more
