Kids had a great time! Tough tho! Would recommend the double ride especially if it's a full session. OR I would suggest to Flow Rider to not put 8 people in a session! Just too many - especially when kids are new and they are with experts - the experts stay up for several minutes and beginners fall in 2 seconds but have to wait for all the experts to go again before they get another 2 second try.... I've been to several places that offer flowriding and heres my personal thoughts on Surf Style... Pros: Great staff, very cool couple of instructors that work there ! They kept the line moving quickly. They made sure we were safe but, not overly crazy like some places are. One kid who works there taught me a few new moves so, I was happy after my hour. Cons: This particular Flowrider is very old and therefore now as well made as the others I've been on. It's a bit narrow compared to other Flowriders and not as much water pumps out so your board will tend to stick on even light turns. Not enough ventilation !!! It's totally enclosed ( indoors ) and they must use about 10X the needed amount of chlorine. Being in there for even a half hour will make your eyes burn and probably give you lung cancer ... lol. I noticed some woman on here said her kid left crying... if you don't listen to what the instructors are saying, you're going to fall over and over. They know better than you so, listen to what they are saying. If you can't do it, ask for advice. If your kid is too dumb to take the advice, they're not going to be very good at flowboarding. read more

The people are very nice. There is a person in there with you. They are helping you surf and body surf. You get 30 mins for $24 plus tax. Not to bad of a deal. It was fun watching the kids but they crash a ton so you have to have thick skin not to be too worried. They all got up laughing whenever they fell. This place is awesome. It is indoor surfing and body boarding. There is an instructor inside the flowrider with you to show you how to do it. It is fun, however, it is a bit pricey and there are way too many people inside the flowrider at once so if you go persay, a half hour, then you only get three turns. For a half hour, it is 30 dollars and all you receive is about three turns. Although the worker at the desk who I made the reservation with was very kind. His name was Joel. read more

Well thought it was a great experience but could see in my sons face that he wasn't having it come to find out the young lady that was supposed to be helping him (Brooke) was being a complete asshole to him yelling at him cause he kept falling he walked out in tears talked to the manager and they apologized and that was it cool thing is I do have lots and lots of video to prove that she was a jerk. read more

My husband and son did the Surf Style Indoor Park. They were with 3 other people from another party. You rotate turns in 30 minutes which is great if you stay on. My son and husband tried tricks and would fall off quickly. But the other 3 people just rode on the skim board. They were able to stay on for 2 minutes a couple of times. Even the guy working asked one of the riders to end her turn, and she said no. My husband and son got 5 turns each for a total of about 3 minutes. I ask people that are surfing to be considerate of others and the time. The guy working should have also been more aware and made sure that everyone got equal time. I did bring up our disappointment with the girl working at the desk. She said that each person should only get 45 seconds each turn. My son and husband did have fun but were disappointed. read more

My eyes! The experience of riding for a half hour today was awesome. The aftermath of the chemicals in my eyes, not so much. I'm now about 2hrs past my ride time ending and my eyes still really sting and my vision is cloudy. This has been since I got out. Way too high of chemicals in the water. I have an in-ground pool and never have this problem. Be aware! I've put in eye drops, irrigated my eyes again in gas station bathroom after leaving the island, then stopped again at Walgreens and flushed my eyes again in the parking lot and couldn't continue the commute back home and had to have my wife drive. I called the store and spoke to a manager named Donald. He said this reaction can be normal and that it happened to him once and lasted for 4hours. Really? That's not normal! Also be aware that when I came out of the glassed in area my lungs burned. The employee in the wave room complaining about it as well. I never would've got in had I had this information up front. read more
