We were very far away and it was closing time for Tackle Shack but I called Andy and he had a spare mast, put it in his truck, drove a couple hours and brought us the new mast way past working hours! Not expecting that he would do this for us or anyone else again, but this shows the level of service these guys provided to us. I live in Miami and would only consider buying from them. Thanks guys.

The individuals on the Hobie side of the store are two cantankerous old guys who should have retired, because they do not give a singular fart about customer service. I brought in my Hobie Mirage Drive 180 to be repaired. They overcharged me for the parts and labor, but being a small business, I'm fine paying a little extra to support local. Unfortunately, I do mind paying $660 for half-done work. My drive was broken down again after four trips and zero incidents that should have caused the malfunction. I was told that I'd have to get the same repair done, so I opted to buy a new, base drive as I needed a second one for my small business anyway. The individual and I agreed on msrp price of around $800 after tax. Boy howdy am I glad I looked before I paid, because he snuck a 10% surcharge that hiked my price nearly $100. When I caught him in the act, his excuse was to blame me for the struggles of a small business. You got about $1500 of a blue collar disabled combat veteran's money (that I absolutely could not afford, but one has to make ends meet) in ab a month. You will never, EVER get another dime out of me again. In short, Tackle Shack's business ethics are so bad, I have to drive an extra two hours total just to ensure I don't get fleeced. The kayak side of the business should be embarrassed.

Then I realized it was those inflatable stand-up paddle boards I see. I met the guys and saw the awesome furniture at Golden Isles. When I found out I won a contest, I popped into the store with my mom, and I was blown away. This store is beautiful. They have so much stuff. It feels like the way vineyard vines stores used to when there were only a few. The build outos beautiful. The people care. It is awesome. They even have a little bar with their own brews.
