Apparently I had used incandescent lightbulbs and they often don't make full contact in this type of lamp. So I was charged nothing for the time it took Brass Candle to determine the problem. I was very impressed. The shop keeper could have just kept my lamp for a week or so and charged me to fix a lamp that wasn't even broken. Kudos to Brass Candle for being honest.

The tech they sent spent an hour looking around, trying to find the problem. He said he couldn't solve it but we still got charged $411. He said he would have to send someone else. Any estimate for the job? No - he couldn't even make an estimate. When I called Adam, he said they would send a more experienced tech. Why not send someone qualified the first time? What about the charge for showing up and not doing anything? "That's our normal fee?" So, will we be charged for a new estimate? "It's still $250 to show up." Really? I told him we didn't want them anymore and we would like at least a partial refund. He agreed to a refund of $125, but the refund didn't come. I called again and he said they had a miscommunication. Now it would be sent. Still no refund ... We found a new person, a handyman - he said it was challenging, but he found the broken connection and he only charged us $250. Mirsky? Never again ...

Also had an additional outlet added in closet for the cordless vacuum and an additional outlet box on the exterior for the irrigation system. Very professional and did everything up to Code. Added the latter 2 jobs above by accessing thru crawl space using a general circuit instead of a dedicated Kitchen circuit that would have been easier and less work. We also appreciated the care with using "booties" that came on and off every single time they had to step in and out of our home.
