Got some vapes and flower. The flower should have been sold as popcorn or smalls honestly, tiny mostly broken up pieces. Of all the local dispensaries, Surterra is my favorite despite having a smaller selection of products. The environment is warm and inviting, and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Charles has helped me from end to end multiple times, and each of his recommendations has helped me treat a variety of symptoms. The vape pens are beneficial for a number of reasons, mainly lower cost and no need to carry a charger. The downside of these are that they produce a lot of waste. The Soothe line gives me the oft-overlooked CBD, and Zen gives a morning lift that keeps me going throughout the work day. The Zen tincture offers a Florida orange flavor that is crisp. Of course, everyone is different but the medicine's effects have been consistent. This dispensary is a welcome addition to the fledgling Brooklyn area. Expect a smaller footprint for the "urban" location as well as a calming environment. You won't feel claustrophobic here unlike other dispensaries. read more

I love this place. They have the products out, not behind a vault in another room which make the whole experience nice and friendly. I like the tinctures, they last longer. At the same time there is nothing quite like a couple puffs of Art's OG, that strain is so...mild, I am saying you don't cough unless you hit it like a cart. Once ya get the hang, carts start to seem like bongs, ya know? Nothing wrong with them, but these disposable vape pens all do exactly what they say. ReviveAM and RelaxPM are nice. During a recent trip to Surterra at a time most others were low or out of flower I let the greed in me purchase the 7 grams of ground flower over the 3.5 grams of bud. Maybe it's me but the ground flower was excessively harsh causing a LOT of coughing. Had to purchase a water pipe (bong indicates drug usage; do not use that word in the head shop) just for this stuff. Mixed it with higher quality product from one other local shop I trust along with import (from another state) just to be able to utilize the rest of the material instead of tossing it. It was, after all, product. Just didn't set well with me, maybe you'll have better luck. I'll never purchase it ground again; had suspicions beforehand, should have followed my intuition. Weak strains, and poor quality buds on the "top shelf". I live right around the corner from this Surterra and I still drive 25 mins to Truelive or MUV. Got tired of buying weak outdoor strains, and haven't shopped there in a few month but decide to try their "indoor top shelf" $50 eigths. Opened the container (they don't air seal) and it was sticks and popcorn bud. I asked the nice manager was this expected in the future, she said no but didn't offer to compensate me for the sticks and stems and another employee told me "they weren't responsible" for quality". That's should be their slogan "WE ARENT RESPONSIBLE FOR MEDIOCRE MEDICINE WE ADVERTISE AS HIGH QUALITY" Shop here only if you have too. I live within 1 mile of the Clay/Putnam County Line (a pretty good haul from their delivery hub) and I've had next day free delivery except once and it was 2nd day. The staff are both pleasant & knowledgeable but never pushy or intrusive (which for me, a disabled vet living in an isolated area and often alone is huge) because other various delivery and service companies have bordered on intrusiveness to a degree that I've felt threatened -so Thank you for that. I've also been to the Jax & OP stores and found the same level of professionalism; though making some appointments times to come in for orders & pickups would be extremely helpful for me & others I've spoken with. The only Cons that I have come across are: On my initial visit I was completely naive, I had never used marijuana and at 49 was a little dubious about it. But during my 2 initial visits I went to the store so that I could get the "counseling" and knowledge was the up-selling of different products; I left there with 5 pens, one FF GDP pen & cartridge and a small bottle of the "Relief Tincture" (which is the best one I've found anywhere for nighttime) but when I got home is was mass confusion.. trying to follow the directions on the pens I swear I was in a daze for 2 days. I know you get the BIG discount on your initial purchase but even with that I left with 200.00 of products. I think Surterra should offer the BIG first -time customer discount available on for example the 1st -3rd purchase so that novice users can get a feel for what works, while more experienced users could use it right away. Because of the expense you feel the pressure to try and save what you can & for myself and many others we have several products we tried then wouldn't use again- so they sit in a locked cabinet somewhere. The second is not being able to make appointments at the store. As the primary caretaker of my grandchildren, one who is school-age, and numerous Drs appointments I've been to the stores and couldn't wait any longer to make purchases because I've had to do school pickup, or make it to an appointment. The walk-in feature is nice but with both stores having limited parking, I think a few adjustments to make a certain number of appointments available each day (they could even be divided into NEW & Return patients to allow extra time for new patients. ) would benefit Surterra & their patients. The vape pens have no battery at all once you open them or the battery runs out long before the medicine. Surterra does a good job at making it right but it's still a problem.
