Overall, we are happy with the finished project. The fire pit and planting area turned out beautifully, and the lawn looks great. There were a few dead spots in the new grass, but the team returned and repaired them. There were a couple of details that did not fully meet our expectations. We had a propane box installed to supply the fire pit, and we were disappointed with the cover, which was made from only two large standard tiles and does not look as finished as we had hoped. We were also surprised that much of the irrigation system was installed using flexible tubing rather than Schedule 40 pipe that was trenched and buried. Since much of the tubing is covered only by bark, we are concerned it could be damaged as people walk through the area. That said, Nick did a good job helping us plan the project and was very responsive whenever we had questions or concerns. Despite a few areas that could have been handled differently, we are pleased with the overall outcome.

Our project was fairly extensive -- it included building retaining walls, flattening and creating more usable space in our backyard, and installing paver stones. Simon stood out to us from the very beginning, when we were still meeting with different companies and deciding who to hire. He was never pushy or overly sales-focused. Instead, he took the time to understand what we wanted, walked us through his design proposals, and offered thoughtful recommendations based on his experience. We really liked his ideas and ultimately felt comfortable trusting his expertise and recommendations for the space. That same level of attention continued throughout the entire project. Simon checked in with us every single day and always showed up with a smile and a positive attitude. Whenever he came over to discuss the project or answer questions, he never made us feel rushed. He was always willing to take his time, talk things through, and make sure we were comfortable before moving forward. He was also incredibly flexible and accommodating with our schedules, which we really appreciated. With a project of this size happening in your backyard for several weeks, having a project manager who is accessible, patient, and communicates consistently makes such a huge difference. Simon was quick to respond whenever we had questions and made the whole process feel much easier to navigate. What impressed us most was how he handled the final stretch of the project. During the final inspection, we brought up a few questions and concerns, and there was never any defensiveness or hesitation. Simon listened, took our concerns seriously, and quickly came back with solutions to make sure we were happy with the finished project. That level of accountability and follow-through really reinforced that we had made the right choice. Simon is professional, patient, approachable, responsive, and genuinely seems to care about both his clients and the quality of the finished project. From helping us envision the backyard during the design stage to making sure everything was addressed at the very end, he was there throughout the entire process. We really enjoyed working with Simon and would absolutely recommend asking for Simon Lee if you're considering a project with Black Diamond. Thank you, Simon, for taking such great care of us and helping transform our backyard!

They also carved out a lovely hillside with custom stairs, a spacious terrace, and game trails perfect for enjoying the view. LEI works with YesPlease.Garden (YPG) who managed the design process and Fresh Coat Restoration who completed the new fence. The partnerships were well integrated and it felt like working with a single team. See my Google Maps review for more on YPG. We are very happy with our project and would recommend LEI because they were professional, courteous, reliable, and provided clear and upfront pricing. Documenting decisions in writing proved helpful for keeping everyone on the same page. Any problems we had were resolved fairly, such as correcting the direction of our stairs. Aaron is a man of his word but prefers to conduct most of his business through texting. We first contacted LEI and they promptly scheduled a time to visit our property with YPG to see what was possible within the budget we set out. We completed the design with YPG and LEI scheduled a time for the project demolition. A later approximate time for planting was set, but that was dependent on the availability of the various plants we had selected. Everything scoped in the design was completed within the budget and any add-ons we later requested were priced separately and fairly.

After deciding to remove our pool, we hired Aaron as the installer for our new landscape project, and we are so glad we did. For months, work was moving forward almost every day, from demolition prep and grading to hardscape, planting, irrigation, lighting, fencing, pergola installation, pebble work, and the finishing touches. The quality of the work was excellent throughout. The paver patio, carport, and front entry all turned out beautifully, and the plants, irrigation, and lighting were installed with great care. We were especially impressed by the rock and pebble work, particularly the dry creek and front mow strip. The mix of stone sizes gave everything a natural, detailed, and polished look that really elevated the final result. Aaron also has a strong eye for detail. He regularly caught things that needed adjustment, even when we had not noticed them ourselves, and he stayed focused on getting everything right. While there were some issues that delayed finishing the project, Aaron took responsibility and worked with us to make them right, which we truly appreciated. In the end, what matters most is that we are thrilled with the outcome. Our yard feels beautiful, welcoming, and complete, and we look forward to years of enjoying it.

I reached out to Geoff and as always, he was very responsive and offered to repair these items. Geoff and his team stand by their workmanship and products. They were recommended by my swim spa dealer, Turbo Spas in Dublin. The crew was easy to work with, professional and followed my instructions to the letter. I just want to give some feedback from what I have learned since because this will help others avoid the same mistake I made. After waiting 28 days for the concrete to cure I set my 12' swim spa and 8' hot tub on the pad. 6 months later my swim spa cracked on the bottom. I am not sure about this but I believe the spa cracked because of the control lines running underneath the spa because that is where the spa shell cracked. Lessons learned is never add control lines where a swim spa will be set. This was no fault of Swanson's, It was my fault for recommending control line locations. All is well now because my swim spa was repaired and I have the spa floating on 3" of crushed rock and a spa pad. The spa pad and rock sit on top of 6" steel reinforced concrete.

So much so that we felt entirely comfortable having him handle all interactions with the city regarding permits as well as all the vendors we sourced from. Octavio was the only one who figured out the logistics of getting a Bobcat on-site and offered a clear path forward. While we worked with a separate landscape designer, Octavio's on-the-ground expertise actually improved the final result. He suggested practical modifications to the original terrace and retaining wall plans that better suited our terrain, which saved us significant costs. Beyond the major earth-moving, he handled: - Full Front Yard Renovation: High-quality work at a very fair price. - ADU Infrastructure: Trenching and installation for electric, water, and sewer lines. - Finishing Touches: Expert irrigation, lighting, and planting. What truly sets him apart is his character. When raccoons tore up our new sod, Octavio offered to repair it under warranty, even though it wasn't his fault. Octavio and Pacific Premiere Landscaping is STILL incredible! Extremely professional, responsive and just an all around really nice guy! We had a very large project that included our Front, Side, and sloping back yard. My wife and I, like a lot of couples I'm certain, have design paralysis with that "I don't know, what do you want?" going back and forth with each other endlessly. Octavio has a great eye, and countless times he broke our deadlock saying, "How about this? I think this would look really nice" and when we followed his suggestions we ended up being incredibly happy with the result! That's a huge benefit that you can't put value on, because it keeps a project moving forward with minimal stress. Whenever we had questions, he always replied to our texts instantly, and one of the things I really appreciated about his company is that we never had to line up any of our own specialty contractors (electrical, plumbing etc) to do work. He has every discipline covered and coordinates the scheduling of all of that. I've worked with contractors before where they would inform you they didn't do a type of work and we would have to contract that effort separately. Octavio is not like that and he'll coordinate it all according to how you'd like it to look, or be done. Big thumbs up on that! Payment schedules are very clearly explained and documented. Our project included payments in "phases of work" down payment, forms completed, rebar completed, Completed concrete, electrical and irrigation/plants completed, final approval completed etc. and there was flexibility in the schedule if we wished, which made it much easier at one point while we were travelling. He's very open to discussing whatever makes things go smoothly. We loved how he gave us a lot of help particularly with trees/plants (types, locations) Octavio is very knowledgeable in that area and we were very pleased when he met us at the nursery multiple times to show and help us select plants and trees. His work crews were always very friendly, hard working and meticulous, and he checked in on them constantly to make sure everything was going according to plan. It's very obvious that he wants to make sure there are no surprises, and that work is progressing according to schedule and plans. It was a great pleasure having Octavio and Pacific Premiere Landscaping transform our home! We would use him again without question and in fact have several other projects in the immediate future that we're in the process of discussing. A lot of people will search hard for the lowest price (I would estimate that Octavio's prices are not the "cheapest", but they are much more than fair, and I would argue that there is a HUGE difference between "lowest price" and "value"; that being the quality and experience of the work done for the money spent, and with that in mind, Pacific Premiere is a tremendous value! You get a ton for your Money!

We met with Lund landscaper Taylor Hawkins to discuss options. He came back with a really great preliminary design that matched all our wants and needs. We suggested a small change and he finalized a really great design. Since we already had a stone terrace and wanted to optimize the budget, we chose to match our existing look and Taylor's design addressed all our needs: Most important to us, improved drainage and gravel instead of grass; a continuous paved patio where the raised deck once stood, giving us a more useable, flat surface all the way to the terrace steps, and finally, plantings that enhanced our existing landscape, an upgrade to the sprinkler system and bonuses like a seat wall to expand the use of the patio for guests. Lund even took existing pavers that were removed from the old build and used them to create a circular patio in an area that had been useless before. Lund's talented team were on time, every day, all day. We had one or two weather delays, but if it wasn't pouring, they were there working. If one part couldn't be done due to rain, they moved to something else they could do under shelter. It was like that with every part of the project. Taylor provided guidance, Raphael was an amazing craftsman who installed the pavers with the most amazingly accurate drainage (including additional drainage and water for our potted patio roses), new circular patio and retaining wall. Likewise, Martine built the most beautiful steps for us and finished up the seat wall, Manuel handled the dig out, drainage and gravel work, Angel ordered the plant material and marshalled the guys who planted everything (they were fantastic), and he and Rodrigo also handled the sprinkler system to all the existing plantings and left extra nodes available for future plants. If anyone was left out, please forgive, because the entire workforce were all professional, understanding, and always ready to assist and make a change if necessary. You can't do a project where you dig up your yard and not find the unexpected. Lund was very responsive and immediately addressed any issue, found a resolution, and it was done, usually within a day or two at most. We received everything we paid for, and more. We are currently enjoying the fruits of their labor! We would definitely use Lund Landscaping again and, in fact, we have already received a future quote for some changes we are contemplating on our fountain. Thank you again, Lund Landscaping, for your great work! Because of you, our family's Easter celebration was so inviting, they didn't want to go home!
