I'm updating to four stars here. A really nice experience today. Last night I managed to pop off a 26 year old gold crown. Dr. Brilles saw me today, reinstalled it temporarily by noon. I just finished having a wisdom tooth pulled. At 53 it's major surgery and expect to take 5 weeks to start feeling well again. I think my experience was pretty typical for a guy my age. This is a great dental practice. Dr. Parks is very competent, relaxed and personable. My last appointment was for a crown on an upper front tooth, which is a bit scary. He was fast, efficient and the injection was as smooth and painless as I've ever had. The staff there is terrific. Most of them have been there a long time, which speaks well of the place. The staff at Bridgeview Dental Associates are very professional and friendly. They had made my experience pleasant as possible. As any good dental office does, they educated the customer about general dental healthcare. The office is located on the 13th floor where you get a great view of downtown while your waiting to get your teeth work on. Bridgeview Dental not only did a great job of cleaning my teeth, they provided me additional quotes for other work that I need to get done down the road. This place is located right across the street of the downtown food carts(9th and Stark). Its hard to resist to get something to eat after getting your teeth cleaned. read more

I'll keep it short and sweet - this practice took over from Dr. Lillian Harewood as she went on to new ventures. The hygienists here are amazing! I saw Kimberly today and she went above and beyond making me feel comfortable and pain-free. Today I just had a cleaning, but I'm very squeamish and sensitive to tarter scrapings at the gum line and she made sure I didn't wince once. Right off the bat she understood my fear and anxiety and made me feel at home in their beautiful office. She was very attentive to where exactly my discomfort was and made sure to avoid those areas at the same time giving me a thorough cleaning. I seriously lost hours of sleep the night before anticipating the dread of this appointment. I laugh now thinking it was in fact a rather enjoyable experience. read more

I have to go to the dentist A LOT. And going here makes that so much easier. They do everything right. The desk staff are laid back and work hard to act like they remember you from sight ( joking, they DO address everyone by name and make you feel welcomed back. I just personally find it hard to believe they remember everyone.) The waiting area tiny because it is taken up by the largest most beautiful tropical fish display I've ever seen outside an aquarium. Really, bring your camera. I enjoy taking close up photos of the shrimp couple. When you are called back you are treated to a view of the river, Mt. St. Helens, 4 bridges, Mt. Rainer, etc. etc. etc. Staring out those windows makes all the rest fade into background. All staff are super friendly and act like they feel fortunate to work in this office. There are two dentists and I've seen both. They are friendly, chatty, work fast and do good work. I cannot recommend this place more. All equipment is state of the art. Xrays from any chair, tiny oral digital cameras. I got a plastic temporary crown whereas my last dentist used cement that would crack and I'd have to go get respackled in between visits! I have not price compared much, but they charge roughly what my last dentist did, and my last dentist operated out of a strip mall and didn't have AC. So you're going to a run down hole in the wall now, you can probably go here for the same amount. Also, they validate parking for the 10th and yamhill garage so you could even stop at the 10th and Alder foot carts and have parking covered! read more

Bridgeview dental is great in every way - EXCEPT, I would avoid Dr.Parks at all costs. He doesn't listen to his clients, he just brags about how long he and his assistant have been doing this and how they are the best in the business, on and on. They did reimburse me for a very costly mistake they made, which I am grateful for, but now I have to have it redone someplace else. And, you can't UN-FILE teeth - I went in for VENEERS and they filed my teeth down and gave me CROWNS!! He doesn't listen and doesn't care. Go to any other doctor in the office, but do yourself a favor and do not go to Dr. Parks. read more

I had a great experience with Dr. Parks today. I chipped my tooth on a sunflower seed and Dr. Parks fit me in at the same time he was pulling wisdom teeth in a different chair. I mention that because he added my composite by himself, without his assistant. I noticed that he used both hands with different tools at the same time - I didn't even think that was possible! He made two reasonably funny jokes and topical references and I was out of there in 15 minutes. Solid. Five stars. read more

I used to go to Bridgeview Dental when I had insurance that they accepted. I'm on Oregon Health Plan now, so do not qualify for their care, but I really wish I still did. The hygienist who worked with me was always wonderful and VERY thorough. My teeth stain easily, and she took the time every time to make sure she got all of my stains removed, while easing my dental anxiety. Every employee there has been very friendly and accommodating. Aside from their excellent care, and friendly demeanor, they also get endless credit for waving my x-ray cost after my insurance carrier told me they would not pay for the service, even though I had cleared it with them previously and it was supposed to be part of my annual coverage. Bridgeview Dental didn't hesitate to call it a wash and simply took it off of my bill when I contacted them with the issue, no questions asked!! I simply do not see this kind of customer service very often and I'm still very grateful a few years later. I would definitely send my closest friends here and I will absolutely return if I'm ever with an insurance company in their network. read more

I have been going to this dentist for several years, and am moved to write in particular because of the work of Val, my hygienist. She is thorough, gentle, and very patient with me. There may be other great hygienists there, but I am so happy with Val I have stuck with her. Also, have never been recommended for treatments or fixes not needed, as happened with a former Dentist, and appreciate that have been treated honestly by the entire staff. read more

The staff was not interested in taking the time to listen to me, or get my chart right. I went in for fillings on one side of my teeth, but was given anesthesia on the wrong side of my mouth. Wasn't sure what was going on and wasn't given time to even ask. The dentist came in and didn't say a word before going to work on the wrong side of my mouth. I quickly sat up and told him to stop, which he didn't take well. I did end up getting the correct side of my mouth worked on, with no apology for their mistake. When I went to a different dentist months later, they told me that it was obvious that the work done before was not sealed correctly. Two stars is being generous. I found a much better dentist that doesn't charge nearly as much. read more

Terrible dentistry skills, avoid this office! Had a 3 minute exam done by Dr. Parks who did not mention I had a cavity, went to a different dentist two weeks later who did a much better exam checking every surface and groove of each tooth and pointed out a cavity to me that I could easily see myself with a mirror. I quickly had all my records transferred from Bridgeview dental and will never go back especially after listening to Dr. Parks make rude comments about other patients to me (heard of HIPAA policies?). If you are looking for prevention and conservative dental treatment, Bridgeview is not the place for you because I guarantee if I would've let that cavity go another year I would be looking to spend $$$ for a crown making Dr. Parks a lot more money. read more

I found this dentist through Groupon and had a bad experience at each of my three visits. The hygienist I had twice was very heavy handed and the cleanings were more painful than I've ever had, and I've been to quite a few different dentists over the years, in various cities, etc. The hygienist informed me in a way that made me feel lousy that my teeth and gums were in poor condition and I needed over $900 of gum work. I did the first of three installments of this treatment she said I needed which was excrutiating. I did not continue with it, despite her inappropriate shaming and insistance that I needed it. I went once more to that office and had a different hygienist who was also uncomfortable in her manner and not thorough at all. I have since been to a new dentist, and they said my teeth and gums are in excellent condition and all I need are basic cleanings, which makes me very suspicious of the motivations at Bridgeview. I will say, I liked the actual dentist there--he was nice and polite. But the hygienists used bad technique and need way better bedside manner. Plus, the second opinion I got said I did not need all that painful expensive work at all. read more

This is the best place I have been for dental care. I have never had a bad person and they are so helpful and nice! I actually enjoy going to the dentist as they are like family. When my father was getting up in years, I took him and they always joked with him and were very kind.
