Which, I'd been nervous about after I mistakenly went to a 'holistic' dentist for that, which cost so much, and took very long to redo. I had to go to a perio specialist, then to put my zirconia implant crown on, Dr Edwards did a whole procedure to do that perfectly. And I'm very grateful to him that I can now chew normally and not worry about it anymore. Being born without an adult tooth is no picnic, but luckily there are pros like Dr E to help us out with these things in life.

I choose a dentist based on quality, not a swanky office so I stopped going here. Bonding on a chipped tooth was obviously uneven, and in another instance it was fragile so shared off within a few months... I went elsewhere to have it done correctly. The two crowns they did at Bling had different problems after about three years: One crown cracked in half and the other fell off. There was decay under the crown that fell off. My overall impression is that the dentists are pushed, rushed, and overworked... that's my impression, I don't know that for certain. What really stings is the atmosphere. A few of the women in the office act condescending. At times I felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued patient, right up until it was time to upsell... and they loved to upsell. Every cleaning felt like a sales pitch for expensive extras, making it seem that the focus is on the bottom line rather than my well-being. I understand wanting to maximize profits but you have to draw a line somewhere . I would rather have a dentist that makes me feel valued and acts enthusiastic about their career than they are about making as much money as possible.

They are very skilled with cleaning, local anesthetics, and did an amazing job with my cosmetic dental work. I have also found rescheduling, and scheduling in general, to be much easier with this practice than others I've gone to. I was texting a co-worker about the Therapy dogs and I was recalling all the benefits of that but it occurred to me that a HUGE deal for me is they use WARM water for rinsing your mouth. This does NOT seem like rocket science to me nor does it feel like this should be the exception. But it is. I NEVER had a dentist office do that. My former dental hygienist at the previous dental office used to spray the water on my tongue which really helped. But when I asked for that here, Danielle just said "hey I'll use warm water, let me know if the temperature is good." Wow. Life changed!! The kindness and courtesy is exceptional here. Every staff member has it. And the dogs are a BONUS. Sweet Rosie and Sasha bring so much joy. And the quality of care, I've never found better. They are out of network for me, but I won't go to a chain dentist. Thank GOODNESS I found them!!

Dr. Bennet said there could be an infection and recommended a series of tests. I trusted that judgment and agreed, which resulted in a thousand+ dollars in exams and X-rays--none of which showed any issues. We ultimately decided on a nightguard. Months later, I returned for a cleaning and explained that while the pain had improved, I still had flare-ups and avoided chewing on that side. I was surprised when I was given the exact same speech about needing extensive testing again for a possible infection--despite having already gone through all of that with no findings. After doing my own research, it's clear my pain is likely from clenching while I sleep. The repeated push for more testing and the implication of an infection felt like a scare tactic. On top of that, I was placed on a periodontal maintenance plan (which is more expensive) with the understanding that I could eventually return to standard cleanings. After a few visits, my hygienist--who has been great--told me I was fine to go back to regular cleanings. However, management overruled that decision. What does management know about my teeth? The experience became overwhelming. I couldn't even finish my cleaning without crying, and I ended up paying and leaving in tears. No one followed up afterward--not a call, text, or email to check in. It's disappointing because my hygienist was wonderful, and honestly the main reason I stayed as long as I did. Unfortunately, the front desk staff is unfriendly, and it's nearly impossible to get an accurate quote from them. Also consumer beware of unethical charging practices that are not disclosed. Forest Park Dental Studio seems more focused on the bottom line than the actual patient. I will not be returning.

I went to Dr Brian Bray for prosthodontic work, and he was unable to complete my dental work…read moreproperly. He gaslighted me and wasted more than a year of my time, not to mention the harm and trauma caused. I had two second opinions by other Prosthodontists and was told my entire case must be redone, and I now need gum surgery. I asked for all my money back, to which Bray agreed, but then he chose to get his dental malpractice insurance lawyer involved. I then learned that Dr Bray (along with his wife Leslie Bray) secretly and illegally recorded at least one of my dental appointment visits. He has admitted to this crime. Secretly and illegally recording a patient visit is obviously a blatant violation of patient-provider confidentiality and trust, along with violating HIPAA and several Oregon privacy laws (in addition to his actions being all-around creepy, deceptive, and manipulative). His actions are against the law and violate my rights on several different levels. It's shocking that a licensed healthcare provider that is supposed to care for patients and be trustworthy and honest would do such dishonest and manipulative things. I am told he also used at least one unlicensed person in some of my dental work. I am posting this brief review to warn other patients of the lack of ethics, care, and skill Dr Bray has shown. In addition, according to him, he has mental health issues, which pose a potential incapacity to practice safely. Of course, I have compassion and empathy for anyone struggling with any issue, but it's stressful and scary to worry about the number of different scenarios that can happen because of his self-described mental health issues. I hope this review is informative and helpful to others. My experience at Portland Prosthodontics was extremely disappointing and traumatic, to say the least.

I have a lot of dental anxiety and chronic illness, and he and his team made me feel so comfortable, and were so accommodating with my disabilities. I came here for help after a horrible experience at another local dentist -- I had been in pain for months despite my former dentist continuing to gaslight me and tell nothing was wrong after she did a filling. Dr. Blair very quickly was able to see from a 3D model he took, that the filling had been done wrong, that the first dentist had left a gap at the bottom exposing the nerve and letting food get trapped underneath, where it had caused an infection. I wound up needing antibiotics. Dr. Blair found the problem in just a few minutes and he fixed it in maybe 15-20 minutes. No pain or discomfort since. After all that needless suffering because of the previous dentist. To finally have relief from the agonizing tooth pain and to be able to chew food again is life changing, especially as someone who is in chronic body pain 24/7, every bit of relief is massive help. I am so grateful to Dr. Blair and his amazing staff, including the techs and reception and billing staff. Everyone has been so wonderful and it feels so nice to finally feel confident that I am in good hands, and they care about my wellbeing.
