I'll break the review into three categories: Micah, himself; the photos; and the pricing. Micah was very professional, prompt, and easy going. He would always respond to our emails within a reasonable time and would be honest about when he could deliver any of the pictures. He was flexible with our schedule and even shot our awesome engagement photos with just a couple days notice. He even worked while on vacation to send me some photos for the thank you cards. The photos that he took for the wedding day and engagement were fantastic and both my wife found many photos that we wanted in the album. It's actually a problem because I'm not sure how we will narrow them down to 50. On the wedding day, Micah and his back up were on time, worked their magic even while we were hectically running around, and even took some more shots after it was all over. To be honest, the location we had at the hotel to shoot at wasn't the prettiest by any stretch but Micah made it work well. Micah's pricing was very reasonable. We had him for engagement photos, wedding photos, a photo booth, and a wedding album. In short, it was a pleasure to work with Micah and I definitely recommend him.

At this meeting they showed us their work, answered our questions, and did not pressure us AT ALL to choose them as our photographers. We felt really good after we met with them and decided to hire them on right away. Kenn and Lisa were so wonderful when it came to keeping in touch with us to let us know about dates/times/locations for our engagement shoot. We chose two locations in Downtown LA which was AMAZING considering it was such a commute for them. They made us feel comfortable and at ease during the shoot which was important since neither one of us had done a photo shoot before and felt a little awkward about it at first. When they were done, the engagement pictures came in a beautiful package and had several hundred pictures on them. We used these pictures throughout our wedding process and got many compliments on how great these were. A couple of weeks before our wedding, Kenn and Lisa met with us to discuss our wedding day. We went over a rough timeline for the day and they gave us a good idea of what pictures would be shot when. We gave them some additional suggestions and they made sure to include these in our shots! Our wedding day went smoothly and Kenn and Lisa were prompt, calm, and excited for the day. They made sure to get all the standard shots (i.e. posed bridal party photos, pictures with our parents, portraits of us, etc.) but they also made sure to photograph all the details we created for the day. We were so happy with the end result and will not hesitate to use them in the future.

Kenn and Lisa definitely have a great understanding about current photography styles and taste, which translates into beautiful photos. What really made the deal for us was the fact that they touch up EVERY single photo, and found ways to work within our budget! We were also very impressed by their professionalism. During our initial meeting, Kenn and Lisa came prepared to answer all of our questions and concerns, and were open to our ideas.They researched our venue and recognized our vision right away. We met a few times before the wedding, and they had a photography list already made -one less thing for the bride to worry about. All I needed to do was go through the list and check off anything we absolutely wanted, or didn't care for. The day of the wedding was a great and fun experience. Neither my husband, or I like to take photos, but they made us feel comfortable and at ease. We weren't forced to do things that didn't come natural to us. Kenn and Lisa also worked so well with our family, and got all the additional shots we asked for. They worked really hard and we appreciated all their efforts especially because it was 110 degrees out! Kenn and Lisa maintained their professionalism even after the wedding was over. It looks like most of the reviews were from a long time ago. We had an engagement shoot with them…read morerecently and it was not the best experience to say the least. It was our first professional photoshoot ever and we were very excited. However shortly after we arrived, he stated "I'm so tired. This is my third engagement shoot of the day and I flew in from Italy last night." ...Not exactly the words you want to hear when you're paying $800 and have been looking forward to this moment for the last month or so. But I thought, well maybe he's just tired, I'll keep an open mind. It didn't get better...his directions felt very "posed". I wanted our photos to look very candid. I thought maybe it's because I'm not a model so it's never going to feel comfortable - well, our photos ended up looking very posed and not candid at all. Additionally, he wasn't very personable or positive at all, which doesn't help two people who aren't professional models feel comfortable in front of the camera. He would just tell us to smile. It was very unhelpful. I would also like to add, his editing or the lens he used made me look fat. I know they say the camera adds 10 pounds, but as a person with a low-normal BMI, I know it's not me. I even got comments from my honest friends that these photos don't look like me at all and that I looked pregnant!! How mortifying!! He even bragged during our shoot about how he often shoots really luxurious weddings that are 300,000 dollars...that's great and all but we still paid your asking price for the engagement shoot and never even tried to negotiate a lower price. My fiancé and I make decent money, but it felt like if you're not one of their super wealthy clients, then you're not important. We did not feel like valued clients at all.

Over the course of a few weeks she was easy to talk to and keep in contact with me up until the day of our engagement photo shoot. We kept in contact via email and she was able to help us choose where to have our photo shoot and what theme we should have based off of our hobbies. My fiancé likes to body surf and I love to collect seashells so she suggested a picnic at the beach and to bring my shells for the photos. We were able to have a cute picnic at one of the beaches in LA. We hauled a bunch of little doodads to help set the scene and Michel just used her magic to make everything presentable. My fiance and I have never had a professional photo shoot before so we were nervous but Michel was able to make us feel at ease. She was able to tell us what to do or what poses to make while still letting us be ourselves making the photos more candid. She was able to capture photos at the picnic and in the water as well. I looked through their website and we chose Sharon. She knows the boat very well, the locations, the lighting, the whole process...Admittedly, a wedding on a boat is very different, more different than I expected, on a boat from a wedding at a regular venue. If you have chosen one of the boats, please make sure you find an experienced photographer with your venue, whichever boat it is. Sharon was very good at communicating beforehand. She sent me a questionnaire to fill out to learn more about the wedding. Every time I sent something new to her, she would send me back with an updated plan. I thought that was very assuring for a bride to know exactly what we were expecting on the wedding day. The day of, she was very professional and she would direct us how to pose for our pictures. As you know, people freeze in front of cameras. Thanks to her, we had fun and also good photos. One thing that was really impressive was that she was good with kids and our little puppy. She knew how to get their attentions, well of course other guests as well. Overall, we enjoyed our wedding day and our wedding photos with Sharon and her assistant. My husband and I got married on the Athena through Electra Cruises. I wanted another photographer,…read morebut he wasn't available, he referred Sharon Pulcino. It was my second wedding, so we didn't need a lot of photos, just the sunset, pictures with the kids and our families. I chose Electra's basic pkg. I should have seen the RED FLAG when Sharon told me the basic pkg was for "FILM" not digital photos. She said if I choose the basic pkg, she will take a few rolls of pics and hand me the film at the end of the wedding. If I wanted the FILM processed and scanned, it will cost me an additional $200. I told her I didn't realize photographers were still using film. She said she will do digital if I wanted to pay an additional $100 and she would "process them." I called Tabatha at Electra about this. She said their photography package does indeed state "film photos," but it was a very old form they just hadn't updated. I also called a couple of photographers on Electra's list and NOBODY uses film anymore. Tabatha spoke with Sharon. Sharon responded to me with an email saying "I'll go ahead & create a special package for you. 200 photos on CD with light processing for Electra's basic package price - no upgrade charges." I explained to Sharon the main reason I wanted to have an evening wedding was to capture the sunset for our photos. Unfortunately, she didn't capture any pictures of the sun setting behind us during our portraits, but she got a couple of shots of our guests. I received the wedding CD after the wedding with an email from Sharon stating "Electra's package is a download & burn only...digital has an amber cast on facial tones that needs to be corrected. Also I noticed blacks need to be lower in some photos. Properly process all the files $250." According to Sharon, the "processing" she previously mentioned "is only to convert to JPG"!! She's right, our pictures did have an amber cast on facial tones and some pictures were dark! This woman is outrageously shameless! She is constantly trying to extort people for more money and taking advantage of people wanting/needing good pictures for a moment you can never recapture!! I contacted the other photographers on the list and asked if they "process" their pictures before giving them to the customers. They all said absolutely! They adjust the lighting and process all the pictures. They said not doing so would be handing over an incomplete product. I called Electra and got the runaround from Jason the manager. He had an attitude like he couldn't care less and basically told me I got what's described in the package. After explaining what the other photographers said, he finally said he would contact Sharon for a special favor and ask her to "process" the pictures. Well, Sharon sent me another disc. She wasn't even professional enough to use a new one (cost 5 cents?). It had somebody else's name scratched off on it. I almost cried when I saw my wedding pictures. Every single one of them had a blue hue/shadow to it. She didn't fix them, she made them worse!!!! I called Jason at Electra again. He was extremely rude this time and told me he did everything he could. I guess once Electra has your money, you're kicked to the curb. I finally told him I was going to write a bad review about Electra, he argued that they had nothing to do with it. I told him Creative Vision Photography was their vendor and I would have never used them if Sharon Pulcino wasn't on their list of PREFERRED vendors. He changed his attitude and told me Sharon should have known better, she worked for Electra as a wedding coordinator for many years.......He said he would "pay" Jerry Kelly (the photographer I originally wanted to use) to fix my photos. Jerry did and they came out so much better!! I hope you read this about my horrible experience before choosing your photographer.
