    Soft shell crab tacos

I like this place. Good local sushi place when you're not looking for fancy. Good service too. I recommend the soft shell crab tacos. Hearty and delicious.

Food 5/5 Service 4.9/5 Ambiance 4.7/5 Food is always on top.. Everything always fresh, so good, big portion and the sauce is great.. They have so many rolls, from the fresh one to the cooked one depends on what you like.. If you like put the sauce on your sushi and sashimi, you can try their Song Style sauce, it's really goooddd.. Personally i like their Salmon Skin Special, King Crab Hand Roll and Baked Salmon Roll.. Their baked sauce it's different and it's really good.. If you came with your family, they have other menu too.. They have a bento box, kids bento, unagi don, chirashi and ramen or udon too.. All of them is a big portion then you think.. Bento box is the best too.. You got 2 option from chicken, beef, salmon, seabass, sushi, sashimi, cali or sp tuna!! And came with the rice, salad, tempura and miso soup.. Oh they have a dessert green tea ice cream too!! You can try the new one, L C green tea ice cream.. they put the blueberry, raspberry, pomegranate even dalgona on top.. it's unique and fresh.. For food they never failed me.. Service on top too.. all servers always friendly and give attention to what you need.. Sometimes they give a free ice cream for the kids.. Ambiance is good.. although the space a little bit small but the vibe is good and clean.. They put sport channels too, so you can enjoy your food and games together.. When their busy time, they have a long waiting list but i think it's worth it to wait a little bit.. Sushi 661 is always my top pick for sushi restaurant for my family and friends around Santa Clarita.. Don't hesitate to come here.. if you're not sure about what you gonna get to try, you can ask the server or chef for their recommendations..

Song is hands down the best sushi chef in the SCV. His attention to detail and ability to combine flavors and fish in ways you'd never expect is what makes this place so special. From the moment I walked in, Song and his team made me feel genuinely welcomed--like being invited into someone's home. The personalized omakase experience was exceptional. Each piece of nigiri was thoughtfully crafted, with flavors that complemented each other beautifully from one course to the next. Whether it was the subtle use of truffle or the depth from gingered garlic, every bite brought out something unique in the fish. What really elevates the experience is Song himself--his charisma and charm make the entire meal feel warm, engaging, and unforgettable.

My friend that use to live nearby recommended this sushi place to me and we have gone twice now in the past month. The rolls and bento box I've tried were filling, big portions and the bento box is big enough to share with two people. I got one bento box with bulgogi and I thought the meat had to many nerve ending and was very chewy but other than that everything tasted amazing. The miso soup was really tasty and the rolls spicy! I think the garlic edimame was too overwhelming and wouldn't get it again. It's always busy and I feel like the service could be a little faster but they're younger adults working so I think they're doing their best.

Sushi 661 is the real deal. If you're a sushi lover who appreciates premium ingredients and expert craftsmanship, this place needs to be on your list. We ordered off the menu and every single dish delivered. The toro tartare on crispy rice with black caviar on top was an incredible way to start -- rich, indulgent, and beautifully executed. The uni gunkan maki loaded with ikura and caviar was creamy and briny in the best possible way. And the tuna nigiri topped with uni and fresh black truffle shavings? Absolutely unforgettable -- one of the best bites I've had at any sushi restaurant. The otoro nigiri was pristine -- buttery, clean, and melt-in-your-mouth fresh. Even the edamame was a cut above, dressed in a savory sauce with flaked salt. Every item we ordered showed the same level of care and quality. The fish quality here is exceptional, and the chef's attention to detail is evident in every plate that comes out. Whether you're going all out with premium nigiri or just grabbing a few rolls, you're in great hands. Sushi 661 is easily one of the best sushi spots around -- don't sleep on it.

On a ramen run. Original ramen with sweet corn added, mild heat mixed in. $23 out the door. Large bowl of rich broth, but quite soupy with just the noodles, a pork slice (quite fatty) and the corn. Noodles presented as Italian spaghetti. Nothing screams louder that you aren't invested in your ramen offering than using spaghetti noodles........ Lost interest about half way through. Service was fine. Ambiance: Place lacked feng shui, though the TVs offering sports was a plus. About 18-20 seats at the sushi bar all filled at 2:30pm Sunday. Amount of business says they are doing something right. As for ramen, this was a one and done. I could see a possible return for sushi.

Easter Sunday lunch, I had the pleasure of enjoying an omakase-style experience by Chef Sung, and it was easily one of the best sushi meals I've had. The quality of the fish was outstanding of course -- every traditional piece was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared, easily comparable to what you'd expect in Japan. You can really taste the care and precision in each bite. What truly set this place apart, though, was the creative fusion selections. Some of the standout pieces featured toppings like caviar, uni, ikura, awabi, and even truffle. Those bites were unforgettable -- rich, perfectly balanced, and honestly a bit emotional to experience. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable for the level of quality, and the service was thoughtful OMOTENASHI and attentive without being overbearing. This is more than just a meal -- it's an experience I'd highly recommend to anyone who appreciates great sushi. I'll definitely be coming back with my friends and family.

Service was great, food was delicious, staff were friendly. I took family from out of town for dinner. They were impressed with service. A special thanks to Song for accommodating my seat due to health problems. I appreciate you.

Impromptu stop because I was hungry. I don't live in this area, only come around this way to go to Cakepopbox Shop. (Amazing shop) Anyway..... wanted to grab something quick (not fast food) and saw Sushi 661. Checked reviews first, can't be too picky with sushi places, saw a 4.5 star good rating so went inside. No pictures of the inside because truthfully, I wasn't planning on leaving a review. It was a quick bite and I feel a true review deserves more than an in and out visit. However...... when I opened my to go order in the car I changed my mind. So let's start with first impressions. The restaurant is small yet quaint and clean. Very typical sushi bar set up. The chefs looked presentable and professional. The wait staff was very friendly and the turn around for my 1 roll was quick. The price with tax was just over $10 so the price point is comparable for a cut roll. I got a spicy tuna roll. The taste was fresh but nothing special. The presentation was horrible. My roll came apart when picking it up. So it wasn't rolled tight enough. And the spicy tuna was the consistency of raw hamburger. Yes I know that's the standard. BUT.... when the presentation of the roll is tight and the cucumber pieces are plentiful, mine was very sparse and not through the entire roll, only the middle 4 pieces. The crunch of the cucumber makes the consistency of the tuna not present as mushy. Mine was mushy feeling. Which ISN'T appealing to the pallette. Everything about this roll just felt like it was rushed with lack of effort. So the question is... would I come here again. No! Like I said, I don't live here so they won't be hurting from me not returning. It's obvious by their ratings they get enough local business. Although it would have been nice to find a little place I could frequent when I'm in town, this just isn't the place for me. Who knows, maybe if I had dined in or ordered something else this review would be different. But based on this experience today 3 stars is generous.

Great options for sushi and bento boxes! Came Friday night it was very busy as expected on a Friday night. Staff is very friendly and service was fast. It was a bit loud inside but overall it was good.

The best sushi restaurant in town best service very clean best customer service my brother David told me about this restaurant thank you so much

This place is BOMB!!! Everything is so fresh. The Uni is smooth and creamy. Best sushi to date in the SCV!

Love Sushi 661, fresh food, great service, always a chill vibe with table seating and at the sushi bar. We always start off with the garlic, spicy edamame and shishito peppers. I get my Uni sushi, salmon roe sushi and Superman roll (unbelievable roll with uni and caviar), this time I added the blue fin carpaccio which is incredible! My wife always get the Crazy Spicy White Boy roll with soy paper, it's a great roll. Great place, always in our rotation. Sometimes we even spot the elusive Song (owner) who is as genuine, funny and kind as they come!

First time here and I'm happy to report, we were very surprised! It's kind of tucked in a spot you wouldn't expect but it's a little gem! Many yellowtail rolls or yellowtail sashimi have been tried over the years and my husband said this is one of the best he's had in a long time! He just kept saying how great it was! The yuzu sauce he ordered on the side he also really liked! There's lots on the menu, more than I expected- so I'm sure everyone could find something they'd like! The service was very quick, we sat at the sushi bar and everything came out very fresh directly to us there, or piping hot from the kitchen- just perfect! Our server (for drinks and hot items) had an awesome attitude and joyful spirit! I can tell she likes her job and coworkers so that made me happy to see! It was clean, and peaceful inside. There wasn't any loud talking, or obnoxious music playing so it was really just relaxing and a nice change. We definitely will be back!

We wanted to sit at the smaller tables by the windows but their airflow isn't great and it was "cooler" over by the booths so we did that, per the owner's suggestion. Shoutout to Fred, had great humor and service. There were a bunch of apps I wanted to try on their menu but they weren't updated and they were no longer available so I ended up just ordering gyoza while my bf ordered spicy ramen. Food came out pretty quickly and this was honestly one of the best gyoza I've ever had. Idk if I was just really craving it or what but even the gyoza sauce was super tasty. I ended up ordering another one because it was that good! We also had some time to kill so it was perfect. Overall great food, just be prepared to have some items unavailable (unless they finally update it). IG: @ammysalamii
