    Shoyu Ramen 8/10

Pretty good food but expensive! I have had better flavored Ramen with more stuff in it for less! I did like the gyoza we got it was definitely very yummy but expensive too. Our total was $60 including tip for only two ramen bowls and an appetizer, no drinks! Crazy! I would rather spend that much on sushi instead lol. We did have leftover but still. Unfortunately quality is not worth price here Service wise they were super nice and it was busy but they still got us sat pretty fast and served us fast as well. Inside there are a good amount of tables. A little cramped but not too bad. Window seating which is nice! Overall it's not a bad place, the food still tasted good. I just think the price is unfortunately the reason I will not be coming back.

We found this ramen place about 2 miles drive from our hotel. It's a smaller place with Japanese-Korean fusion food. A cup of green tea was $3.50. We shared chicken karaage appetizers, which was pretty good. Our 2 servers were really nice. Hubby ordered a rice bowl special with chicken, egg, green onion with a savory sweet sauce. I tried a bite but didn't care for the sweet sauce. I ate most of my pork tonkotsu ramen. It had Plenty of wood ear which I love and the pork pieces were good too. The broth was not thick and sticky like some Ramen shops where the bones cooked into the broth takes 25 hrs. The ramen noodles were cooked perfectly. It's located in a small strip mall next to a 24 hr fitness center.

Love this place!!! A new favorite. The appetizers were good and the ramen was delicious. It's nice to have a place like this in Santa Clarita. The service was amazing. Will be going back again to try other things that stood out to me.

Attentive servers, line could be long and crowded in the cold day but they run really quick. Their food was just right, came out pretty fast. if you like spicy you can ask them to make it spicy (with extra charge but I don't think the ratio of chili oil/paste is a right amount some times it came out salty than usual) so I just ask them for hot oil and add it by myself

Open cozy ambiance with excellent friendly service and an interesting menu. Ramen is the centerpiece, but can also enjoy unique buns, rice dishes and more. We loved the sukiyaki beef shoyo and pork tonkotsu ramens. Both had flavorful broths, hearty noodles with meat and veggies that were nicely presented. For dessert we had the ever popular scrumptious honey bread with ice cream.

Review update. It's been a bit since I've been here. I placed an order for pick up and it was ready in 10 to 15 minutes just as they promised. The food was extremely hot when I picked it up and still fresh and delicious when I got it home. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the miso broth is spot on as usual. I'm still a fan.

So so yummy! Perfectly cooked boiled egg, the sausage was so flavorful, and this is the first tonkotsu ramen I've ever tried that I enjoyed. The broth for the tonkotsu definitely has a deeper flavor than the shoyu, I recommend asking for it spicy. Portions were on the smaller side but perfect for me!The only downside was it took a long time for the food to come out.

Weak!!! Comparable to Cup o' Soup. I think the noodles were once a frozen blob. There is better everywhere.

The ramen was a step above a cup o noodle (spice was there) and the roll had soo much mayo. I was in the mood for Ramen and found the menu had a lot of interesting options I couldn't resist. Ordered: Spicy tonkatsu ramen bowl Kaki fry-deep fried oysters Shrimp har gow Spicy tuna roll Everything was tasty and flavorful...and was captivated enough (with the food) that I forgot to take pics! Generally speaking the food was fairly priced with lots of variety. My biggest complaint is the service, they literally have one person doing everything and when that person is occupied everything else comes to a halt...including my order being placed. During my visit, I was ready to order and that didn't get done until after others were helped. I think I waited 10-15 mins after I was seated until the one server took my order and asked if I wanted something to drink. I understand good help is hard to find but restaurants like Takuma need to figure out the service is also part of the experience. I'm sure I'll find another restaurant (in the greater Santa Clarita area) that cares as much about service as they do food.

I was happy to finally experience the hype. :) Upon coming in, I was impressed by the decor and layout. I especially liked the booth seating -- spacious, comfortable and semi-private. The place is clean and dimly lit. Our son was in charge of ordering, so he chose some of their favorites. We started with two orders of the marinated dumplings. For our mains, the Garlic SuYuk and BBQ Beef Ribs, plus additional bowls of rice for everyone. The banchan were set first -- the husband surprisingly enjoyed the mildly spicy fishcake the most. Our order followed just a few minutes after. The presentation of the Garlic SuYuk was so neat when it arrived bubbling hot. The tender pork slices simmering in the broth paired well with the garlic and red bean pastes. The Gal bi was very good, but those slightly spicy marinated dumplings were amazing! The entire meal was quite comforting with each flavorful bite changing with the banchan. It was a great first experience. I'm sure it won't be our last. Friendly service.
