Pretty good food but expensive! I have had better flavored Ramen with more stuff in it for less! I did like the gyoza we got it was definitely very yummy but expensive too. Our total was $60 including tip for only two ramen bowls and an appetizer, no drinks! Crazy! I would rather spend that much on sushi instead lol. We did have leftover but still. Unfortunately quality is not worth price here Service wise they were super nice and it was busy but they still got us sat pretty fast and served us fast as well. We found this ramen place about 2 miles drive from our hotel. It's a smaller place with Japanese-Korean fusion food. A cup of green tea was $3.50. We shared chicken karaage appetizers, which was pretty good. Our 2 servers were really nice. Hubby ordered a rice bowl special with chicken, egg, green onion with a savory sweet sauce. I tried a bite but didn't care for the sweet sauce. I ate most of my pork tonkotsu ramen. It had Plenty of wood ear which I love and the pork pieces were good too. Review update. It's been a bit since I've been here. I placed an order for pick up and it was ready in 10 to 15 minutes just as they promised. The food was extremely hot when I picked it up and still fresh and delicious when I got it home. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the miso broth is spot on as usual. So so yummy! Perfectly cooked boiled egg, the sausage was so flavorful, and this is the first tonkotsu ramen I've ever tried that I enjoyed. The broth for the tonkotsu definitely has a deeper flavor than the shoyu, I recommend asking for it spicy. A definite place to go when in Santa Clarita! This place is a gem. Everything we ordered was delicious. We started off with their garlic edemame which was flavorful- the garlic was just enough. Agedashi tofu was cooked to perfection and its sauce was very good as well. These two appetizers are a must try! I wasn't a big fan of their fried rice, perhaps I'm just used to the place we go to in West LA so (just a bit biased) but if you love Japanese fried rice, I think you should order this as well. You can get the ramen and fried rice combo and that would surely fill your empty stomach. The ramen was of course delicious and the sukiyaki did not disappoint either. Decided to get some take out ramen on a rainy Saturday from Umaichi, and it definitely hit the spot! We ordered 3 pork tonkatsu ramens and chashu fried rice. Everything was fresh and really good! Umaichi is easily one of the best ramen places in SCV. The only downsides to this visit were that it took 40 minutes for our order to be ready for pick up. I'd like to begin by saying this is by far the best Ramen I've had. From the moment I walked in one of their servers guided me through the menu and made some helpful suggestions. I've tried some incredible options throughout the state and out of state, but I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality and authenticity of their food. I ordered their karaage buns and the best way I can describe the bun's texture is similar to a steamed pancake. That probably sounds weird but trust me when I say this bun is delicious. This place has improved vastly from the last time I tried it, which was many years ago right around when it first opened! I recently went twice, and omg the broths for the ramen!!! The TONKOTSU RAMEN was so good and hearty!! Probably the best I've had in awhile! Shockingly so good! KINOKO RAMEN which was a vegetarian ramen (if you love mushroom, highly recommend getting this), with mainly mushroom/truffle essence. WOW so tasty--it's now my go-to fav! We barely made it to this place shortly before closing at 2:30pm and I'm glad we did. My wife and I were super hungry after deplaning from our flight down to Burbank from SJC. I had already bookmarked this place in my Google Maps so that we would just go there without any delay and I'm glad we did as we arrived 30 min prior to closing. As soon as we walked the first thing that hit us (besides the noisy soccer kids that were having lunch) was the smell in the air. That fresh aroma of soup and ingredients pretty much assured us us that we picked the right place for our empty stomachs. My wife went for some Sukiyaki Rice Bowl w/Peruvian Salsa and I went with for some Ramen- Umaichi Tonkotsu Ramen to be exact. Both dishes were so tasty- I literally almost finished half of my wife's bowl without even noticing because I was super hungry and the flavor just begs you to eat more and more and my soup- the flavor of the roasted seaweed, black mushrooms, bamboo shoots, shrimp and most suprisingly the little sausage that I saved for last was all a treat in itself. All the different flavors made me enjoy my soup more the merrier. The only thing I was disappointed about: - Since we arrived shortly before closing, I felt like I didn't get enough soup in my bowl. I wish it had a little more broth for such a large bowl I'm so glad that we hit the jackpot and chose the right place to eat. It has been my go-to dinner place and especially nice when going early and there is no wait. They have rice and ramen dishes with yummy appetizers and sides. The Pork Tonkatsu ramen is my favorite and perfect for the Santa Clarita cold weather. Broth is rich and flavorful. The chicken katsu curry is also a good choice if you do not feel like noodles. The Japanese curry is nicely paired with the chicken and rice. If you feeling extra hungry, the edamame starter or the Agedashi tofu is recommended choice. Service is nice and friendly.
