    "Pad Thai"
    Verónica L.

I ordered pad Thai Bc the lady on the phone recommended it over the yaki soba. I've probably had pad Thai over 100 times in my life, THIS IS NOT PAD THAI. It has no flavor, no color and traditionally carrots, bean sprouts and green onions are the only veggies in it. I'm pretty disappointed, doesn't taste like ANYTHING. :(

    Badly prepared New Jersey roll

Lemon wedges should be finely sliced. Please Poke Noodle don't get lazy on preparing your food. Sushi is costly because of the care and dedication put behind the preparation and its freshness. New Jersey Roll with thick lemon wedges! So disappointed. They're suppose to be finely sliced. Brawley needs restaurants with food of better quality, please don't fall into sloppiness.

I ordered the happy our deal, 2 sushi rolls and miso soup for $10.99. What we received were pure rice rolls with almost no fish, see photo. That's pretty poor.

Happy Hour sushi: Salmon with creme cheese and spicy tuna with avocado

It is okay. Thats all. Their ramen is literally top ramen noodles. The meat is chewy almost as if they don't throw away the scraps and give you that. The broth is decent. 3/10 for the Ramen. Happy Hour sushi: 2 sushis, miso soup comes out to $12.88 and if you want, a .99 fountain drink. I got excited for this , however the only sushi to choose from are the raw rolls and it is not full rolls. 6 pieces of each raw roll you choose. They were ok 5/10. The miso soup had 4 tofu pieces and the broth was ok. I don't see the happy hour as great deal tbh. It is probably better to just pay for the regular roll. Be prepared to wait. Call in if you can

After not coming for a couple of years, I came to enjoy a delicious meal. I was greeted by the most friendliest staff which made my tipping decision final quickly. Monste was super friendly and double checked we had everything we needed and ordered. I would most definitely come back for the amazing service and food!

Sushi and Sushi Burrito is on point, ramen and pad Thai definitely need more flavor. Service is slow. So be patient.

Overall, I found the dining options in the whole Imperial Valley to be limited and also very pricey which I find to be insane for one of the more impoverished parts of California. I guess these restaurants can charge what they do because of the limited options, lack of competition and the distance they have to travel to bring the food here. I was happy that the pho at Sushi & Noodle is actually pretty good! They also had all the typical additions to pho (bean sprouts, basil, lime, onions, cilantro, sriracha and hoisin sauce) which was very much appreciated! I definitely had worse in more populated areas with more competition. I opted to get the beef pho in the large size which I believe came out to $17.99. With tax and tip it was around $23 which is a tad pricey. They have a Combination Pho which already comes in a large and also comes with Beef, Shrimp and Chicken for $18.99 which probably would have been a better value. They do have quite an extensive menu and would return the next time I camp out in the Slabs!

Free tacos at the turn -- such a fun and unexpected service perk that really hit the spot. We had several meals at the clubhouse during our stay, and overall the food was solid and the cocktails definitely delivered. That said, during peak times, service can slow down quite a bit -- something to keep in mind if you're on a tight schedule. We booked the stay & play package and made the most of it. By the fourth round (thanks to the free replays), we really got to know the course well. If you're striking it well off the tee and can read the greens, there are definitely scoring opportunities. But when the wind picks up, it adds a serious layer of difficulty -- so adjust expectations accordingly. All in all, a memorable trip and a course I'd absolutely recommend if you haven't played it yet.

I've visited a few times recently, but only for…read morelunch and to enjoy the great atmosphere--this time, I was excited to get back on the course. My son flew in from Dallas, Texas for his birthday, and playing this beautiful desert layout was at the top of his list. One of the perks that sealed the deal was Rams Hill's generous birthday offer--free play after 12pm. A classy gesture from a course that's long been one of my favorites in Southern California. The only downside? It wasn't my birthday. With rates having climbed significantly, I did my best to convince my son to consider a more affordable option--maybe even something closer to home--but he held firm. He knew this course had always been high on my list, and he wanted to experience it for himself. As always, we were greeted with friendly smiles upon arrival. We warmed up on the range and soon met our starter, Don, who got us going. He mentioned the cart service running throughout the round and also let us in on a great surprise--complimentary street-style tacos on the 14th. That definitely raised some excitement. This course truly is a visual treat. The tee boxes were tidy, and the fairways--at least from the tee--looked lush and inviting. However, it didn't take long to notice something was off. Walking up to the first green, I couldn't help but say, "Yikes." The surface lacked the smoothness and softness I'd come to expect from past rounds here. I stayed optimistic, hoping it was just an isolated issue. Unfortunately, while the greens improved slightly as we went on, the fairways told a different story. Several holes had patchy or thin lies, and in some areas, it felt like we were hitting off very little grass at all. I found myself increasingly frustrated--not just because I had talked the course up so much to my son, but also because of the price point. When you're paying a premium, it's fair to expect conditions that match. On a positive note, the tacos at the 14th were excellent and a fun touch. However, we never saw the beverage cart for the entire round, which was surprising given it had been mentioned at the start. All in all, Rams Hill still holds a special place for me, but this visit was a letdown compared to past experiences. For now, it may come off my "must-play" recommendation list--at least until either the conditions improve or the pricing better reflects the current state of the course.
