Forget the name...but oh my GOODNESS
    Autumn J.

Very fresh! The fruit tea was amazing and the roll I ordered that had strawberries? Out of this world. Don't let the "strip mall" outside appearance throw you off...this place or amazing. Great service, too!

Such a good place to eat. I was in town for a little while and was craving sushi. This was a good spot to pick 5/5 service too. I have nothing wrong to say.

I didn't realize there was a sushi place in Lebanon. Popped in for lunch and had California roll and salmon both tasty. Owners were very kind. The place may not be fancy but it was good.

I liked this place. The sushi was different than a typical place. The roll I had was called titanic, I believe. It had kiwi and cereal. Sounded weird... felt like I had to have it! It was actually delicious. The downside to this place... there's honestly not a lot of options. They have about a page of sushi, typical soup and salad... but that's about it. I generally just like more to choose from, but the roll I got was definitely delicious.

Ummm! I love Sushi Max. Max and Grace know how to provide great service and flavorful sushi.

My family has been eating with Max and Grace for over six years. It's a treat to visit with them and enjoy a great meal out. Ok...most times, I get a Love Boat to go! It's so easy to call in a to go order compared to getting grocery store sushi. Plus it taste better too! We love the "Kim Roll" which was renamed to the Love Love Roll. Regardless of what it's called...it's GREAT! Max starts with a California Roll, adds avocado and strawberries. Then he tops it off with a crunch of granola and eel sauce. Stop in and you'll see that you don't have to travel to the big city to get great sushi!

Inside the restaurant. Sushi bar for 8 people and about 10 other tables.

The furniture was dated, the carpet looked dirty, and there were holes in the ceiling. I honestly wanted to leave, but my grandson wanted to eat there, so we stayed. I will say it was affordable and family friendly. We ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp, dumplings, and crab wontons. The crab wontons were basically very sweet crab rangoons. The salad didn't come with the traditional carrot ginger dressing I was expecting, so they gave us Yum Yum sauce instead, which I personally cannot stand. The steak was overcooked and very chewy. The shrimp was actually pretty tasty, and the rice was just okay. Service was alright, nothing to really note. Unfortunately, I left with a stomach ache, and between the food and the condition of the restaurant, I definitely would not return.

If you walk into a restaurant at 7pm on a Wednesday night and the place is fully packed and there…read moreare people waiting behind you to be sat, you KNOW you made the right decision to go there. We were greeted nicely by the hostess and waited roughly 5 minutes for a table to open up. A family of five came in right after us and decided to sit at the bar to eat. I knew in my heart that this was the best place to go to for my husband's birthday dinner. We sat on some barstools while we waited, discussing the hockey game playing on the tv behind the bar. I loved the low ambient lighting that spread across the ceiling. Our waitress was nice but she never gave us her name so I unfortunately can't shout her out. She gave us recommendations so I ended up taking one of hers. Now, if you have read my Thai restaurant reviews, you know by now that I judge a Thai restaurant by ordering their Pad Thai the first visit, however, I broke that rule because I just KNEW this place was going to be good. We ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken, Pad Kee Mao with chicken, I ordered the Khao Soi Gai (it comes with chicken, no substitutions), and one Thai iced tea. You guys. When the Tom Kha soup touched my lips, I was SO excited to get the main course! It was made PERFECTLY. I haven't had true Tom Kha since probably when I lived in California over a decade ago. The Thai tea was strong and delicious, exactly how it should be made. The Khao Soi Gai...that first sip of the curry broth nearly made me go Meg Ryan-mode in the restaurant. If you know, you know. "I'll have what she's having!" Our waitress recommended this dish and I'm so glad I was adventurous and tried something different outside of my "I'll judge you based off of your Pad Thai" attitude. It was perfect and when I say perfect, I didn't even add lime juice to it because I didn't want to mess anything up with the flavor profile. Sure, lime could have added another element to the dish but when I say it was perfect the way it was, it's true. The night at Smiley would have ended perfectly if it weren't for the miserable couple who sat beside us discussing how unhappy they were in their marriage and decided to accept the waitstaff into their broken marriage by being completely rude. But the staff remained professional and kind through it all and I give them HUGE props for that because I was a moment away from telling that wretched couple off. In short, the staff here are wonderful, and the food is memorable, delectable, delicious, perfect...it's HEAVEN. We will DEFINITELY be back to try other menu items!

The miso soup was great and my 3 rolls came out not much longer after my soup! Everything was fresh and tasty. Very rarely do I agree that the hype is worth it but for Noko, the hype is definitely worth it!…read more We came for our book club meeting without a reservation and were luckily able to get a spot within ten minutes! Our server (I believe his name was Mitch) was phenomenal! We started off with the guava girlies, anti-hero, tan lines and good times - our favorites were the guava girlies and the anti- hero. The tan lines didn't have a deep enough flavor profile for us. For food, we got the Caesar salad, the green beans, the tuna crispy rice, the hurricane fries, charred scallion noodles, and burnt end lettuce wraps! Every dish was a hit but our favorites were the green beans (we were obsessed with the sauce) and the burnt end lettuce wraps. We also tried the lipstick marks, second hand smoke (sub mezcal with regular tequila), and guava girlies with tequila - all of these were also delicious! Despite being full, we had to try the dessert and tried the brookie with ube ice cream. We were also surprised with a scoop of pandan ice cream. This may be one of the most unique flavor profiles for a brookie I've ever had and it paired beautifully with the ube and pandan gelato! This was truly a fantastic dining experience and we will definitely be back!

By the bar we got to see some of the dishes being made. Great date night spot. Limited parking. This is a tapas spot and our serve did a good job recommending how many dishes to get. The only reason Noko is not getting 5 stars is because the server said that they would time out the dishes for us, so it was best to place our entire order all at once. However, we got 3 dishes and then it took about 30 minutes for other two to come out. Maybe we were eating too fast but felt like we were waiting a while for our food. The food itself was absolutely delicious. There was nothing we ordered that I did not like. Some favorites include the burnt ends lettuce wraps and Korean chicken wings. The Sando, shrimp and tuna crispy rice was also spectacular. The tuna was so flavorful and refreshing on the tuna crispy rice. The sauce of the east side shrimp really makes the dish. I'm not a huge shrimp person but this was really good. This is a must go to spot in Nashville and would definitely want to come back.

Xiao's Hibachi is located on the corner of the shopping center shared with Walmart and Petsense. There's plenty of parking. We were greeted immediately and sat at a table. The restaurant is large but the buffet itself is very small. However, the food here is DELICIOUS. I honestly had low expectations due to the poor reviews but Xiao's proved me wrong. All of the food was hot and cooked perfectly, the sushi was cold and surprisingly good for a buffet. When we first arrived, the food was slim pickin's but by our second go-around, the buffet was filled to the brim and fresh. I enjoyed all of what I had except for the butter mushrooms and the honey chicken (it was overcooked). The champagne chicken was amazing and definitely one of my favorite dishes served. I also favored their chicken on a stick, too. The egg drop and wonton soup were nice. The service here is wonderful. Our waitress filled the cups three times before they were ever empty. Our used plates were promptly picked up, too. Our waitress was friendly and hard working. My husband and I came in expecting a low-star experience but we were truly blown away. Xiao's may be small but it is mighty! We will be back for sure!
