We came upon this gem, quite by accident, and if you're not careful, it's easy to miss. Hidden in a nook, in a strip mall, this unassuming Asian restaurant in Mt. Juliet, TN, looks much the same on the outside as many other take away places, but we couldn't be more wrong! This restaurant has, hands down, the BEST Asian cuisine we've had in the metro Nashville area. From portion size, to the thoughtful service, to the freshest dishes undoubtedly made with love- one is left feeling less like a customer and more like family. One thing that my wife and I couldn't wrap our heads around was why in the world all of Nashville isn't packing this place daily? All we could gather is that it is so unassuming that people don't even know what they have in their own backyard. Do yourself a favor; GO! The staff are very friendly and the interior of the restaurant is descent. There are better options in Mt. Juliet if you want Asian food. I got the #4 Bento Box which is General Tso's Chicken, Chicken on a stick, Egg Roll, California Roll and Fried Rice. The Chicken on a stick was so dry I only ate half of it. I'm really surprised that they served it to me. Everything else was just O.K. My wife got the same Bento Box and her Chicken was dry like mine. I was very disappointed with the food. The customer service and food were outstanding!!! The sweet gals were so thoughtful, they even gave us a few pieces of cheesecake and wrote a Happy Birthday note on top of the take out container. One of the sweet ladies helped me carry our dinner to the car and asked if we had kids who would be eating and sent candies for them. The highlights we're the pork low mein and the Mongolian beef. The Mongolian beef had great flavor, but not enough beef! It was 50/50 onions to beef. The low mein was great, lots of textures and surprisingly light. Don't forget the veggie springs roll, always a must order! Only a couple of low lights to the meal. The fried rice seemed old and dried out and General Tso's chicken was basically orange chicken. Still had good flavor, but zero heat. Came here for lunch special. The inflation got the best of us. The lunch special came to around $12 after taxes and fees. It came with a small egg roll and the portion was on the smaller side. I had the moo goo gai pai and the taste was good however the portion was super small, to the point that I was still hungry after I eat. We thought we'd try it. Walked in on a Friday night and the place was empty. That should've been our first clue. We sat down, the server was very very nice and she was attentive. There were about 3 walks ins for pick up orders, so that helped us feel a little better. We ordered Pho (if came out and it was terrible). Either they believe we have no idea what real Pho should look and taste like, or they made up their own recipe. It was horrible. We ordered a rainbow roll, fish was not fresh. Pepper steak was tasty but the meat didn't look like steak but we ate it anyway. It was good. Chicken lo mein, not good, looked awful and the chicken looked pale and so white with no flavor. The absolute best of Mount Juliet! This place serves very fresh, well-prepared Asian dishes, cuisine, and accompaniments. The prices are fair, the people are very nice, and the food is always delicious. The place is super clean, looks well designed, and they even have a fresh-prepared sushi bar for those that enjoy this type of provision. We go when we have an opportunity to dine-in, as the preparations and extras are worth the wait. I don't even generally care for egg-rolls, but we always order them and I devour mine. Also, you must order the edamame! These little dudes are killer. For the main meals, we have tried several different dishes every time we've been, and they all have been excellent! (But you can't go wrong at all with the old standby - Kung Pao Chicken!) Just thinking about this place makes me want to visit again! We'll return soon! read more

Very surprising place in a good way. Very clean and modern (see photo). Didn't expect that from the outside. The food was very fresh. Sushi was amazing, especially the Futomaki roll. Never had tamago in a roll and it was amazing. But true test was the sweet and sour pork. Hard to find a place where it's not hard, has too much breading and small amount of pork inside is not black and hard. I was able to cut each with my fork! Perfect amount of breading and pork was white and juicy (see photo). Bento box was great as well. A bit slow to get our order but staff was very friendly. We will come back. If you look at it from the outside it doesn't look like much, but when you get inside, you'll find a very nice, clean restaurant with a good ambiance. There's ample seating and the service is friendly and helpful! Now to the food: "Asian Cuisine" is quite broad. The Asian food here is primarily Chinese/Japanese with some Vietnamese/Korean. Ordered some sushi to start, Snow Mountain Roll, it was good. Not the best I've had, but good. Also ordered General Tso's Chicken as my entree. It was okay. Chicken was a little overdone. They serve the meal with spring rolls. I don't care for spring rolls as for me they are bland and lack flavor. I ordered sweet tea to drink and never received a refill and never saw my server to request a refill until she brought out my check. We had an unfortunate scheduling experience here. We called at 4:00 for a reservation at 6:00 and were told to just come in and that we did not need one. Sure enough when we arrive, we are told there is 45 minute wait and that we should have reserved a table. We ordered the king Pao Shrimp, Orange chicken, broccoli beef, beef fried rice and Cantonese lo Maine I believe it was. Everything was very delicious. Food had a very flavorful taste. Although the portions were small for the price of the entrees, and the orange chicken was a little crispy, I will still give the 5 stars for Service and flavor. Great Asian cuisine is hard to come by....especially in Mount Juliet. But oh my goodness, this place is good! My wife and I tried it one night several weeks ago and we've been back three times! The service is excellent, the restaurant is immaculately clean, and the food is heaven. One of the neat things about this particular place is that they have and advertise soy paper as an option in sushi. My wife loves sushi but hates the taste of the nori or seaweed wrap. Having the option of soy paper, which has no taste and allows her to enjoy the other flavors of whatever sushi she's chosen, is pretty awesome. I get the bento box. I ordered thru Uber eats.... And all I can say is this is probably the worst food I have ever had. I got eel and smoked salmon nigiri. The salmon was def not smoked and was so weird and sweet, and still had bones in the salmon pieces and one was crunchy!? The eel tasted so off I spit it out. The Philadelphia roll was awful, like it had been sitting out all day. There was also bones in that salmon and the avocado was brown. AM Asian will give you a surprise from the moment you walk in to the taste of their food! When you first drive up to the restaurant it gives the illusion that this is a small restaurant that doesn't look promising. However, once you walk through their doors you are greeted with a bright open feeling. The hostess was quick to greet us and seat us. When the server came over to take our drink orders he was so nice and prompt with our drinks. He gave us the special for the day and answered each question we had. He did not rush us to order and was extremely patient with us while we decided what we wanted for dinner. We ordered the crab rangoon as our appetizer and it was really good. The way they present the crab rangoon is extremely cute as well. It is not on your typical plate with sweet and sour sauce on the side. For our entrees we ordered Mongolian beef, Orange chicken, and chicken and broccoli. Each dish you have the choice of having lo mein, white rice, or fried rice. We choose one order of white rice and two orders of fried rice. When our dishes came out we could have honestly ordered one dish and ordered another side of fried rice and been good. The portions are big. So go in with an appetite if you don't want to share. The dishes each held their own they were flavorful and had the right amount of seasoning. As we ate our server made sure our drinks never got below half a glass. He checked on us throughout the meal to make sure we didn't need anything. I'm not a fan of a server harassing you while you eat but he was around right when we needed him and not overbearing. If you're in the Mt. Finally got around to trying this place and was not disappointed. Ever since Hans closed last year my wife and I have been desperate to find a quality replacement for our sushi fix in Mt Juliet. The food was amazing, my wife got several sushi rolls and a Kani salad, while I got two rolls for myself, a bowl of wonton soup with vegetables, and green curry Singapore Street Noodles as PF Chang's calls them. The street noodles were the best I've ever had, better than PF Chang's. Sushi was fresh and delicious. And the soup was perfect. We definitely plan on going back and trying more. My only complaint is that I've known about them for years as my mechanic is located at the other side of the shopping strip, but never got around to trying them. We ordered moo goo, chicken wraps appetizer, sweet and sour chicken, egg drop soup, and spring rolls. The spring rolls were quite tasty. The chicken wraps came with 2 pieces of lettuce and cost $6.99. That seems a bit pricey for 2 pieces of lettuce stuffed with chicken- That being said, it was very tasty. I ordered the eggplant in garlic sauce & they had no eggplant so I had beef in garlic sauce instead. The sauce that came with the potstickers was basically just soy sauce. And the beef was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't at all. Okay that's the negatives out of the way. I'm actually VERY happy with this place! The potstickers themselves were yummy, well flavored & properly fried. And even though the beef wasn't spicy, the brown sauce was tasty. The beef was tender, and there was a lot of it; this place doesn't do the "bit of protein in a sea of cheap veggies" thing. And the veg? Mushrooms, zucchini, bell pepper, water chestnuts & carrot. Again, a cut above the usual. Oh, and did I mention it's enough for 2 meals? Yeah. I ordered takeout so I can't comment on the service really but they seemed nice, and the place is attractive. But can someone tell me, is there an ordinance in Mt Juliet that requires all Asian restaurants in the town limits must serve Japanese food? Because they do, they even have a sushi bar.
